O’Malley Gun Control Plan Dismantled

As governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley pushed through gun control measures that violate the US and Maryland Constitutions and he assured the morons who follow him that this would make life better and safer. The only thing O’Malley accomplished was to make it tougher for the law abiding. Criminals in Maryland still get firearms and they still shoot people. Led by Democrats the criminals in Baltimore riot and destroy with impunity.
Martin does not dislike firearms. He was perfectly happy with all the armed State Police officers who protected him and his family. He is just not too keen on everyone else having firearms. He is a typical liberal who thinks that he is better than everyone else and that he knows how to run other people’s lives. He is wrong but in his little brain he thinks he is not only correct but that people love him and think he is brilliant.
O’Malley (or O’Moron as I like to refer to him) will unveil his anti-gun platform as he tries to out liberal the other morons running for his party’s nomination. Let us take a look at his platform and dismantle it. Each item of his plan is presented and then I will comment.
Using procurement contracts to advance gun safety by requiring manufacturers that seek federal contracts to make design changes. O’Malley says the changes will “advance gun safety and improve law enforcement’s ability to trace firearms. These include hidden serial numbers that cannot be defaced, micro-stamping, magazine disconnect mechanisms and other next-generation safety improvements.
The last thing first. Being able to track firearms is only effective for tracking those legally owned. If firearms are stolen or obtained via other illegal means they might be able to track back to an individual but not necessarily the person who used the firearm illegally. As for forcing firearms manufacturers to make design changes in order to secure government contracts, what happens if none of them do so? Suppose the gun makers decide not to make changes and not to bid on contracts for government purchases? What happens when government can’t get firearms because of this insanity? I think fewer government agents having guns is a great idea and would applaud any manufacturer who told O’Malley to pound sand. Imagine a President O’Moron {{{shudder}}} who has Secret Service without firearms because no one would buckle to governmental pressure. The government should not be using OUR money to force compliance. Imagine how O’Moron would react if a contract required a company bidding on a government contract to NOT provide abortion services in its employee health care?
Ending the federal defense of gun dealer immunity by stopping enforcement of a 2005 law that O’Malley says protects irresponsible gun dealers and manufacturers from lawsuits by victims and families of victims of gun violence
Irresponsible by whose definition? There are already laws that define how gun dealers must act and how they must conduct business. If they are doing things incorrectly then they should be fined or lose their license. But a blanket statement such as this opens the door for lawsuits based on some arbitrary idea of irresponsibility. Someone could be shot with a legally purchased firearm that was later stolen and an idiot like O’Moron would claim the dealer should have known it would get stolen so he is irresponsible and therefore subject to litigation.
But hey, let’s take this idea a little farther. The government at all levels allows the sale of tobacco and alcohol. The government should not have immunity from lawsuits by those affected by its irresponsible permission for the sale of tobacco and alcohol. The government KNOWS people will be harmed by these products and that is why there are warnings on the labels of tobacco and alcohol products. So the government is being irresponsible in allowing these items to be sold. Based on what O’Moron thinks about firearms dealers the government should not have immunity from lawsuits by those harmed by these products.
Strictly enforcing existing bans on gun ownership for domestic abusers and stalkers, to “disarm those convicted for committing domestic violence
This is a tricky one. The first thing that needs to happen is that we ensure people who did not actually commit domestic violence or stalking are not convicted or charged or discriminated against. A single incident that involves two people might be domestic violence or it might not. By all means, if a person is involved in domestic violence then that person (he or she) should not be allowed to own a firearm. But before we take away this right we need to make absolutely certain and there should be a method to regain that right if circumstances warrant it.
The reality though is we already have laws that prohibit these folks from owning firearms. If these people decide they want a firearm they will get one. No law preventing the ownership of a firearm will prevent a person who wants to get one from doing so. Protective orders and orders banning a person from owning firearms are only pieces of paper that will not prevent a person from getting and using firearms. These work no better than gun control laws because those inclined to break the law will do so. This is more of a method for government to define what a person did as domestic violence and then remove guns that way. How will government strictly enforce this as O’Moron wants? It can’t enforce the gun control laws liberals have already enacted. If they could Baltimore and Chicago would be safe places instead of shooting galleries. The best thing to do would be to ensure the victims of such violence can get and carry a firearm for protection. But O’Moron opposes this. Once again, you are not as important as he and his family.
Banning so-called “cop killer” ammunition by working to close loopholes that O’Malley’s campaign says “have made hundreds of kinds of dangerous cartridges available for sale.” The campaign says he will act in his executive capacity as president to tighten current regulations
This is one of those slippery slope deals in that he can ban “cop killer” ammunition and then define all ammo as cop killer. There are bans on the manufacture of certain types of ammo and those laws should be good enough. If manufacturers are making this ammo then they need to be dealt with. But let me be clear, if government agents are allowed to have this ammo then so should the general population. Once again O’Moron talks about tightening current legislation as if that will stop people from breaking the law. It is illegal to buy, sell, possess or use Heroin but people do so every day and no law has ever stopped that. People can buy ammo from other countries and get it in here. If we can’t stop millions of illegals from walking in we sure as hell won’t stop illegal guns and ammo from getting in (though with Obama and Holder it went out of the country instead).
A new “electronic alert system” to inform local law enforcement officials when those who are prohibited from purchasing firearms attempt to do so. The campaign says the system will be “modeled on the FBI alert system used when fugitives purchase guns” and will help law enforcement officials identify which attempted sales to prosecute
This is Mickey Mouse stuff. What happens if a person is unaware that something in his past prevents him from owning a firearm and he attempts to buy one? Would not it be more prudent for the dealer to inform the person and tell him who to contact in government to see if this can be rectified? Then a notation can be made that the person was so informed and if that person attempts to buy firearms later then the police could be notified? In fact, it might be better for the dealer to inform the police of the first attempt and that the person was notified and then for the dealer to notify law enforcement of any subsequent attempts. If the system were properly annotated and working correctly this would be quite easy. O’Moron is looking for a bigger government boondoggle to further gum up the works.
Requiring the safe storage of firearms in homes by issuing and enforcing federal rules that make clear safety standards for gun locks and safes
Here is the short story. What I do in MY house with MY property is none of the government’s business and I will not be regulated by them. The reality is there are two ways to determine if you did not secure your firearms the way people like O’Malley want you to. The first is for there to be a problem with the firearm (like a child getting it and shooting someone). The second is government coming to check. Government will NOT be checking in my house to see what I do with MY property. Responsible people do not leave firearms in an unsafe manner. Yes, we hear some stories about some kid getting a gun from under a bed and shooting himself or someone else but the story usually involves a firearm that was not legally owned by a person who should not have it. Regardless, if you want to leave a loaded shotgun in the corner of a room, that is YOUR business.
Strengthening enforcement and audits of licensed dealers to ensure that they are in compliance with the law. The campaign says this action includes “conducting background checks of gun dealer employees; ensuring that dealers who have their licenses revoked do not become unlicensed sellers without first liquidating their inventories; and using audit inspections to check dealer inventories for stolen guns
This is harassment of licensed gun dealers. They already have to comply with a mountain of laws and paperwork. They get inspected and they have to renew their licenses regularly. I am fairly sure most, if not all, of this is in place. I would also imagine that a dealer runs a serial number before purchasing a firearm so it would be unlikely that he would have a stolen one in his possession.
Martin O’Moron is an elitist who thinks that responsible people should not have firearms and should have their lives run by people like him, you know, their betters. He is a low life cretin who infringes upon the rights of law abiding citizens for political gain and so that he can control them. He is not bothered by the firearms that protect him but he does not want others to have that protection.
Given the rumors of O’Malley’s extramarital affair(s) perhaps he should spend more time taking care of his own life and less time getting in our business.
I do not like this troll and I sincerely hope he is never elected to another office. It is time for him to get a real job and earn money that did not come from the sweat of OUR brows.

Maryland Suffers A Brown Out

Anthony Brown was supposed to waltz into the Governor’s Mansion. He spent eight years in Martin O’Malley’s shadow and it was his time. In a state where Democrats hold a greater than a 2:1 lead over Republicans it was just a formality. In Maryland the Democrat Primary is considered the general election because whatever Democrat wins the primary wins the general.
But a funny thing happened on the way to Annapolis. Lt. Governor Anthony Brown hit a shockwave in the form of businessman Larry Hogan. Hogan campaigned on economic issues and reducing taxes. Hogan vowed to get rid of as many of the forty plus tax increases put in place by O’Malley/Brown.
Brown, for his part, failed to campaign on what he would do and instead chose to attack his opponent. Brown accused Hogan of everything short of the Crucifixion of Jesus and claimed he would be bad for the state.
Some of Brown’s ads were outright lies and used fear to persuade people that Hogan would have “assault” rifles lying around all over the place. Brown also misled people on his military service by showing himself piloting helicopters while a narrator talks about Brown answering the call of duty.
Brown did indeed fly helicopters and he did indeed deploy to the Middle East. But he was a pilot on active duty and deployed while a reservist. As a reservist he was a JAG officer (Army Lawyer). There is no evidence he piloted helicopters while deployed as a lawyer.
Who does he think he is, Harm Rabb?
In any event, the O’Malley/Brown tenure destroyed the state, increased unemployment, raised taxes (including a tax on rain water runoff), and busted the budget while driving good businesses out of the state. Brown was solely responsible for the failure of the health care exchange and the millions of wasted dollars the project cost taxpayers.
People were fed up and they took it out at the polls by delivering a crushing defeat for Brown who lost by about 5* points. The defeat was a referendum on the tenure of O’Malley whose aspirations of being president took a huge hit (as if he actually had a chance). All in all it was a two-fer with Brown losing his bid to be governor and O’Malley losing nearly any chance of becoming president.
Brown is out and it looks like he might have to sign up for government health care and get a real job.
Hogan on the other hand, will have a tough time dealing with the huge Democrat majority in the legislature. He has stated he is willing to work with Democrats to get the state on track.
The big question is, are Democrats ready to work with Hogan to achieve those results?
Time will tell but if history is any indication Hogan will have to overcome a lot of resistance.
I think he is up to the challenge. Hell, no one gave him any chance of winning the race and he blew Brown out of the water. If he pulled that off I think he can accomplish quite a bit.
Democrats in the legislature beware. Some of your fellow Democrats suffered defeat on Tuesday and that should be a wakeup call that you are not doing your jobs.
Listen to the businessman and get this state back on track.
As an aside, when the tallies were coming in and it looked like Hogan might just pull it off I watched the local station to get current information. It was being reported that Brown would be making an announcement. Speculation was that he would concede because he could not overcome the vote deficit. I took great pleasure in watching the stage as the who’s who of Maryland Democrats stood there with sour looks on their faces waiting for Brown to arrive.
When he did it was short and sweet and that was all she wrote.
I loved that moment.

The Bleeding Of Jobs Continues In Maryland

A government contractor in Maryland is moving its operation to Virginia and taking over 1000 jobs out of the state as the bleeding of jobs continues.
Bechtel Corp announced the moves which will take place next year. This is just another in a long line of companies that have left Maryland for more business friendly states. Governor Martin O’Malley and his Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, who is running for governor, increased or enacted more than 40 taxes that are hurting the working people of the state and driving business away.
Brown wants to take over where O’Malley leaves off, with more taxes and a bad business environment. Brown is happy to carry the torch of progressive destruction in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2:1.
Larry Hogan is the Republican running to beat Brown and turn the state around. Hogan is a businessman who actually knows what it means to meet a payroll.
Put simply, Hogan knows what it is like to sign the front of the check. Brown only knows how to sign the back.
Hogan had this to say about the latest loss:
We are saddened to learn that another 1,100 well-paying jobs will be leaving Maryland for Virginia,” Republican nominee Larry Hogan said in a statement. The loss of jobs “will ripple though Frederick as dozens of small businesses — restaurants, repair shops, suppliers, cleaners and delivery firms — will suffer. Baltimore Sun
Liberal policies put in place by O’Malley and Brown are killing the state. It has been dying a slow death for decades under Democrat rule but the last eight years have seen an acceleration of that demise.
Get rid of Brown in November and we can begin to repair the damage done by him and O’Malley.

Doofus O’Malley Chases Beretta Away

Maryland, led by Martin O’Moron and his band of merry idiots, enacted strict and unconstitutional gun laws in the state. Crime rates and crimes with firearms have not dropped but law abiding citizens are regularly infringed upon in direct violation of the Second Amendment.
He and his pack of idiots were warned that this would not be good and now, to quote Obama’s favorite pastor, the chickens have come home to roost. Beretta Firearms is moving its entire production facility from Maryland to Tennessee (look at the picture and tell me he is NOT a doofus) and the move will result in the loss of hundreds of jobs in the state.
O’Malley has lived off the taxpayer for nearly his entire adult life and he has never really run anything outside of government. His track record of running things inside the government is of failure. He has raised taxes time and again and he has trampled the Constitution as he plods toward a run for the presidency.
America, this half baked twerp is as bad as Obama. He has no real life experience and he is a progressive who believes in big government and keeping his boot on the throats of citizens. He is a jack booted thug who cannot see the error of his ways through his liberal colored glasses.
His policies have resulted in a lot of people voting with their feet and they are taking their money with them. Now Beretta is voting with its feet by moving to a more firearm friendly state where the right of the people to keep and bear arms is not infringed. Beretta will operate in a safer state because the people are armed.
Meanwhile the people of Maryland are sitting ducks for the criminals who do not obey the laws enacted by the moron and his henchmen.
There is no way O’Moron should ever be considered for the presidency. He is inept and he does not follow his oath. He tramples the Constitution and the rights of the people.
While all of that makes him an ideal liberal the only place he should be is in a federal prison.
Thanks Marty for chasing away the jobs. I know you want to be president but we already have a guy who is chasing the jobs away and that is not sitting too well with those who would like to have a job, not be bothered by government and live in a safe environment where the criminals do not have the upper hand.
By the way, are you interested in being president because you get more armed guards than you currently have? You are less important than anyone of the people in Maryland particularly those who pay your salary.
Why do you deny those folks the right to bear arms while you travel with well armed troopers by your side?
Choose wisely America. You selected dumbass Obama and that did not work out too well. Please don’t think about doubling down by selecting the Teflon Leprechaun.

Maryland Governor Insults His Citizens

Anyone who has lived under the tyranny of Martin O’Malley knows his mere presence is an insult to Maryland citizens but he took things to a new low in an attack on the conservatives in the western part of the state.
O’Malley (or O’Moron as I like to call him) is a big supporter of illegal aliens. He likes them coming here and he is more than happy to ignore the law and violate his oath to get them here. He even calls them new Americans even though they are nothing of the sort.
Oh, and O’Moron wants to be the next president.
The federal government has allowed an invasion to take place on our southern border and is moving diseased people all over the nation. Democrats need to get these new Democrat voters spread out so when some sort of illegally granted amnesty or asylum takes place these folks can help get more Democrats elected.
The Obama regime was looking at an empty Reserve Center in Western Maryland as a site to house these folks. There was talk of putting them in Baltimore but that broke down. Congressman Andy Harris and local politicians in Western Maryland caught wind of the attempt to sneak illegals in and put an end to it.
O’Moron, who first expressed how we could not send these illegals back to certain death told the White House not to send these people to Western Maryland. It is not that O’moron does not want them in the state because he is certainly illegal alien friendly and his squinty little eyes look like dollar signs as he thinks of all the federal money that housing these illegals will bring.
No, he said that Western Maryland is a conservative part of the state and that it would not be an inviting (read safe) place.
While it is true they would not be welcomed there (the conservative part of the state is also law abiding so it would not want law breakers there) it is not a violent part of the state. Conservatives do not go around hurting people for the hell of it but O’Moron had to paint a picture of violent conservatives.
The reality is the people there would protest and make noise about this and call attention to the state and the illegals. This would not look good for O’Moron as he plots his path to the White House. How on Earth can this guy lead if his own people are protesting his actions? No, he wants them moved where they might be more accepted and he can avoid any embarrassment.
If he is worried about their safety then Baltimore is definitely out. In fact, most liberal parts of the state are out because they are dangerous. Remember, all the ghettos and dangerous cities in America are run by Democrats. Maryland is no different.
O’Moron insulted a large number of people living in Western Maryland and painted an unflattering picture of them.
I submit that the illegals who are coming here are dangerous and the people of Western Maryland would not be safe. These illegals are infiltrated with dangerous gang members who are recruiting from among their fellow illegals and many are carrying diseases that can cause a lot of people to get ill.
The people of Western Maryland are the ones who would be at risk not the O’Moron future voters in the illegal alien population.
Martin O’Malley is a liar (check into his bar application) and an anti Constitutional moron who infringes on the rights of the people. He is a violator of his oath and instead of a term in office as president he should get a term in a federal penitentiary.
Twenty-five years to life sounds reasonable.
