Riots At Berkekey Over Cuts and Tuition Increases

The latte lapping liberals at Berkeley have their pink panties in a knot over cuts to the school that will cause a rise in tuition that the future anti war liberals will have to pay for their indoctrination. Berkeley is the place that is anti military and has hosted the code pinko crowd as it harassed military recruiters. The town had code pinko friendly rules and military unfriendly rules as recruiters were harassed and their station vandalized.
A late-night demonstration over budget cuts turned violent in Berkeley when protesters broke into a campus building, torched trash cans, smashed windows and threw rocks and bottles at police, authorities said Friday. Riehl World View
The Berkeley students are a bit upset that money from taxpayers will be cut and that their tuition will go up so they had a not so peaceful demonstration. These morons rioted, broke windows and set garbage cans on fire.
These are the people who want us to give peace a chance and stop fighting wars.
These are people who are cut from the molds of liberals who mock Tea Party members as radicals just because they want smaller government and lower taxes.
Yes, in liberal land (and to the DHS) those who peacefully protest to pay less in taxes are radical extremists and violent racist teabaggers who cannot live up to the level of civility exhibited by those on the elite left.
Yeah, and those in Berkeley lead the way.
Guess it is OK to be violent when your taxpayer assistance will be cut but not OK to peacefully protest when you want to pay less in taxes.
Only in America.
Keep in mind, the violence we have seen at protests is from those on the left. Usually lefties (and violent union thugs) attacking peaceful protesters on the right. That violence went way down when Tea Party protesters started (legally) bringing guns to the events.

Jesse Jackson Rides Bus To Spotlight Violence

In the wake of the beating death of a black student (by other black students) in Illinois, the Revuum Jesse Jackson has taken to riding on one of the school buses there to highlight the violence that he calls a state of emergency.
“This is a state of emergency given patterns of violence and patterns of killing,” Jackson said in a news conference.

“This is ground zero of the urban policy,” Jackson said of Altgeld Gardens. “We need jobs, intervention for jobs, education, the safe passage of these children, and a sense of hope.” CBS2 Chicago
For those unfamiliar, the student who was recently murdered was Derrion Albert. Albert was caught in gang related violence outside a community center and was struck in the head with a board and then kicked while he lay dying.
Violence is a big problem in Illinois, particularly in Chicago. There are plenty of murders there, many with illegal firearms but some, like this one, with other weapons. The problem is societal and all the laws in the world (gun control or otherwise) will not stop the violence. The child who died was black and he was murdered by other black students. Black on black crime is a serious problem in many cities.
But blacks are not the only victims. Recently, a white kid was beaten by a group of black kids on a school bus. This too, took place in Illinois.
Interestingly, the beating was not labeled a racially motivated crime and Jesse Jackson did not ride that bus to ensure the white child’s safety.
Given that this is Jesse Jackson, I’m sure he rode the short bus.

Patrick Kennedy Warns Of Violence

Representative Patrick Kennedy, the last Kennedy in political office and son of the late Ted Kennedy, is warning about violence because of the anger over the out of control government. He actually said it was about the health care debate and the example he gave dealt with that issue, but like all politicians he misses the bigger point. The debate is about out of control government.
Kennedy warned of the potential violence and used a sign he saw at a protest. Ten thousand signs bearing the words “Bury ObamaCare with Kennedy” were distributed at a protest by a group that opposes abortion. Patrick is of the opinion that this is disgusting and could lead to violence. After all, as he reminds us, his family has seen its share of violence. His uncles were assassinated and his father killed a woman. Of course, the 9-12 protest had nearly a million people in attendance and none of them were arrested. None of them committed crime and they cleaned up their trash when they left. The law breaking typically takes place when the left is involved in a protest.
I have no problem with the slogan. Ted Kennedy was the champion of government run health care and he claims to have made it his life’s work. The slogan indicates that we should bury his dream with him because the concept is a bad one.
I know that Patrick and others from the left will likely disagree and that is their right. I would find it hypocritical for those who used Ted Kennedy’s death to try and pass this health care takeover plan to oppose those who mention his death in wishing its defeat. Remember, Kennedy was not even cold when the Democrats were discussing doing it for him and fulfilling a dream he did not live to see.
To be upset with a slogan after that shameless display is beyond the pale.
The good news in it all is that Ted Kennedy has now been sober for 4 weeks.
Of course, that is assuming they do not serve scotch in Hell.

Pelosi Is Worried About Bloodshed

The Democrats are losing the battle on health care take over and their agenda is falling apart. They have resorted to using the race card for every person who opposes any of their plans because any of us who oppose what Obama wants to do must be a racist. What were we when we opposed what Clinton wanted to do? He was, after all, the first black president.
Nancy Pelosi is now kicking into high gear and she is using her emotions and scare tactics (what did Obama say about that) to influence the public. Now she is worried about bloodshed because of the nasty rhetoric:
“I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” Pelosi said, choking up and with tears forming in her eyes. “This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made.” Real Clear Politics
It was reported that she was talking about the incidents leading up to the murder of Harvey Milk.
Look at how Pelosi has portrayed peaceful people. These demonstrations against the government and its plans to take over our lives have been peaceful, for the most part. The violence has been perpetrated by the goons and thugs that Obama enlisted to quash dissent. His buddies in the SEIU beat people up. People on the right were not starting fights, his thugs were. The conservatives started carrying guns to the events and the violence stopped. Of course, the MSM focused on the gun “nuts” and not the reason they had to carry them (though many were just doing what they do every day). I don’t know of any anti government protester who bit off someone’s finger.
I did not hear Pelosi discuss the potential bloodshed when the anti war protesters were using language that was much more intense than that used by the protesters on the right. I never heard her discuss the potential bloodshed when Code Pinko and the others were carrying signs that indicated that George Bush should be hanged, or that they supported the troops when they shot their officers. Those were incitements to violence and Pelosi was quiet.
Pelosi is using dishonesty and emotion to change public opinion. The people protesting could certainly turn violent, as any group of people could, but they have demonstrated, thus far, that they are not interested in physical altercations. However, we fought one revolution over what this government is doing to us so it is not hard to believe that another one would happen. I would prefer a peaceful one where we just vote all the scum out of office. We are a long way from violence and assassinations and for Pelosi to assert that is nothing more than fear mongering.
The whole idea of violence because of the protests against the gays in San Francisco leading to Milk’s death is wrong. Milk and Mayor Moscone were killed by a man who wanted his job back, was initially told he would get it and then was told that they wanted someone else who was more in line with the ethnic diversity of the area. Dan White shot them because he did not get his job back (he had resigned from it) and his violence had nothing to do with the protests that Pelosi is discussing.
This is what we are up against. Pelosi is a moron who needs to be voted out of office in the next election. If the people of her district put her back in office it needs to be as part of the minority party.
Folks, if you want a better government you cannot keep voting the same people back in office. They are a bunch of corrupt, self-serving, leeches who care little about what you, the people they represent, want.

Mr. Obama- Build Up That Wall!

Well, Rahm Emmanuel, the president’s Chief of Staff, has conceded that at this time, there are just not the votes to allow the 12 million illegal immigrants to stay and become citizens. Good. No one should get a free pass, and there are people who have been waiting to legally become citizens for years. This process is, I admit, unwieldy and takes an inordinate amount of time, but then, nothing worth having should come too easy. We, as people, tend to value that which is hard won, rather than that which came too easy.
There is also the little problem with the unemployment here, and the fact that no congressman wants to be seen as giving these few jobs to those many illegal aliens- after all, until ACORN registers them, these illegals can’t vote, but our citizens can.
It astounds me that a nation that can put a man on the moon within ten years of the time President Kennedy announced it, cannot seem to complete a wall between Mexico and the United States- a simple wall- a wall that is needed for several reasons.
First, to stop drug smugglers and their cargo. This is a serious problem on the border. Anyone who thinks otherwise should take a walk on the streets of Juarez, or Tijuana- if you dare. The struggle for control of this trade will spill over the border in a big way, and will force people to take the law in their own hands if our government continues to be impotent on this issue.
Second, and equally important, is the smuggling of human cargo- some of the same smugglers do the same thing with people, and then, often hold them hostage until their “ransom” has been paid. In some cases the smugglers, or “coyotes”, as they are known, simply abandon the illegal aliens in the desert to die.
First we need the wall, if for no other reason than to funnel the potential immigrants into a port of entry where they can be identified, and fingerprints taken, and photos- whatever is needed to ensure that these people are who they say they are. The last four police officers that have been killed on the job in Houston, Texas, were killed by illegal aliens. Three of these criminal aliens had been deported several times from both California, and Arizona, and had returned. These are not people you want in society. These people are not a plus for the United States.
That is, quite frankly, astounding, considering the odds- you would think, if the illegal aliens are that peaceful and law- abiding, that the proportion that committed Capital offenses would not be so high. So, control is needed, and needed badly.
“I’m sure the civil libertarians will object to some kind of biometric card — although . . . there’ll be all kinds of protections — but we’re going to have to do it. It’s the only way,” Schumer said. “The American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration.”
By announcing his plans, Schumer, who chairs the Senate’s main immigration subcommittee, ushered in what Obama has signaled will be his next major legislative campaign, after the economic stimulus plan, health care and energy.
Schumer said legislation should secure control of the nation’s borders within a year and require that an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants register with the government and “submit to a rigorous process to convert to legal status” or face immediate deportation. Rejecting the euphemism “undocumented workers,” he said: “Illegal immigration is wrong — plain and simple.”

We not only need a “biometric card”, but we need more cooperation from Mexico regarding the criminals they know about- they need to keep their trash at home. I can pick up any Texas paper, and the Hispanic crime that is reported is three times that of any other race. Do keep in mind that a lot of the crime goes unreported because of fear of being deported, so it would be fairly safe to assume that the rate of crime is at least double that that is reported, perhaps more.
Understand this- I have absolutely no problem with legal immigrants- they are a plus for our society, but they must become legal, and they must go through the process, no matter how tiresome it seems to be. If and when they are legal, they do not need to fear the authorities, and can assimilate into this society the way other generations and other races have done in the past.
To say that this is impossible is in effect saying that the Hispanics of today’s generation are not as smart as their Irish, Polish, Indian, or Asian predecessors were, and thus need the “special” dispensation of amnesty.
I reject this premise- I feel that Hispanics are every bit as intelligent as anyone else, they just need the chance to prove it. Going through the process is a type of trial by fire, so to speak. The process tests your true desire to see this through.
And with the completion of the wall, and addition of foolproof biometric cards, both employers and employees can rest easy knowing that they are legally here and can proceed with their life without looking over their shoulders.
Then they can pursue the American Dream.
