Our “Beloved” Leaders

It would be funny if this was a film, with all the clumsy attempts at propaganda that the government tries to use, all to little effect. Indeed, one might say that they are hurting their cause by all of this manipulation, but still they persevere. Never before in our history have we had people as nakedly promoting their radical agenda  through their propaganda as these Marxists.

With Senate bill 773, which gives the Resident the power to shut down the Internet at his discretion, (whatever constitutes, in his mind, an emergency), this administration is trying its best to control and influence all information.

This includes scrubbing the Internet of all negative information that could be construed to be negative. The blog, Stop the ACLU has found an Organizing For America,(Nobama’s personal propaganda corps) E-mail (that has now been “scrubbed” from their site) that calls for “action” on (and this is soooooooo cute, they have selected, 9/11, or “Patriot Day”) Sept. 11, where each minion calls their Senators and “Swamp the switchboards” about the “Right- wing terrorists” who are apparently hogging all the healthcare, and denying poor people the healthcare they need. How ridiculous is that?

This is something I couldn’t make up- you have to view it yourself:

Stop The ACLU

The point of this post is not so much that they are lying blatantly- I have come to expect that. Or that they use their little OFA website to promote hate- I expect that also.

But what galls me is that they attempted to “scrub” their website of this offensive hate missive- and some liberals maintain that they simply wouldn’t , or couldn’t delete these things, like they maintain that Wikipedia and other sites can’t be scrubbed of information the government deems detrimental to their cause.

These people will soon have the ability to shut off our free speech- right now, they are busy remolding their “reality” to fit their propaganda, their “class warfare”, because with Liberals, it seems to be the only way they know how to make their  disgusting ideas palatable to the public- pick a group- in this case, conservatives, and demonize them with baseless rumors and innuendo that is then deleted from their websites.

These are the people that apparently, a slim majority of people elected- actually, only one was elected- he has brought all his marxist, racist, radical people with him. What galls me, is that he has been friends with Bill Ayers for about 20 years- he sat in Rev. Wright’s pews for 20 years, listening to that race- baiter, he has formed friendships with the most radical people in this country, and he has the gall to call conservatives terrorists?

This man’s value system is so screwed up that a lifetime of sessions with Freud himself couldn’t even begin to peel the socialist onion that is our Resident.

As I have said, he would be laughable if only he didn’t attract so many radical flies.

We need to stop this man’s hateful agenda now.

The Unusual Suspects

Yesterday, I talked a bit about Peter Singer- an advisor to Cass Sunstein, the Resident’s Regulatory Czar, and John Holdren, the Science Czar, two of the people who have been advising the Resident during this Healthcare debacle. Just since yesterday, I have been attacked by left wing loons who say that what I have written was trash- but they cannot say that what I have written about was untrue, because those are their own words.

Today, we will speak somewhat of Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who reminds me some of Dr. Josef Mengele, the “Angel of Death” in Auschwitz concentration camp. Dr, Emanuel, (that’s right- the brother of the  SAME Emanuel that is the Resident’s Chief of Staff- nepotism is a wonderful thing if you can do it), has a theory that in a crisis, ( what constitutes a crisis here?), the lives of the very young and the very old are worth less than those in the 15- 40 year range. This is presumably because these people would be able to do more work for the state, and bring in more taxes.

Start with Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. He has already been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research.

Emanuel bluntly admits that the cuts will not be pain-free. “Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely ‘lipstick’ cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change,” he wrote last year (Health Affairs Feb. 27, 2008).

Savings, he writes, will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, “as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others” (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).

Yes, that’s what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

Many doctors are horrified by this notion; they’ll tell you that a doctor’s job is to achieve social justice one patient at a time.
Emanuel, however, believes that “communitarianism” should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia” (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. ’96).

Translation: Don’t give much care to a grandmother with Parkinson’s or a child with cerebral palsy.

He explicitly defends discrimination against older patients: “Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different life stages rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years” (Lancet, Jan. 31).     (Emphasis mine)

nypost.com

Yeah, but now that they are 65, having been 25 does not help them, in his mind. There seems to be too little compassion here for someone who is supposed to be formulating policy for Healthcare for all the people ( not just 25 year olds). Does that send a thrill up Chris Mathews’ leg, or is it a blood clot- we may never know if Zeke gets his way- Mathews is too old to save.

Now we get to Cass Sunstein, the Resident’s Regulatory Czar, who has some ideas of his own- many of these views are stifling and radical- for example, he wants to radically amend the boundaries of free speech:

He thinks that the current formulation, based on Justice Holmes’ conception of free speech as a marketplace “disserves the aspirations of those who wrote America’s founding document.”[9] The purpose of this reformulation would be to “reinvigorate processes of democratic deliberation, by ensuring greater attention to public issues and greater diversity of views.”[10] He is concerned by the present “situation in which like-minded people speak or listen mostly to one another,”[11] and thinks that in “light of astonishing economic and technological changes, we must doubt whether, as interpreted, the constitutional guarantee of free speech is adequately serving democratic goals.”[12] He proposes a “New Deal for speech [that] would draw on Justice Brandeis’ insistence on the role of free speech in promoting political deliberation and citizenship.”[10]

en.wikipedia.org

That is just one view that is out of the mainstream, and meant to silence, or at least mute critics of this administration, as well as promote the “Fairness Doctrine”, in the name of “diversity”. But there are other aspects of his views that, while out of the mainstream, would not be foreign to organizations such as PETA, but bothersome in that he is helping shape policy for this administration. His views on animal rights are right in line with those of John Holdren, and bring a troubling aspect to his task of “regulating” in this government.

Sunstein has also written often in favor of animal rights. “Every reasonable person believes in animal rights,” he says.[13] He also says that human “willingness to subject animals to unjustified suffering will be seen … as a form of unconscionable barbarity… morally akin to slavery and the mass extermination of human beings,”[14] and that we might “conclude that certain practices cannot be defended and should not be allowed to continue, if, in practice, mere regulation will inevitably be insufficient—and if, in practice, mere regulation will ensure that the level of animal suffering will remain very high.”[13] Specifically he thinks that, “we ought to ban hunting.”[15] He also thinks that “we could even grant animals a right to bring suit”[16] and that it is possible that “that before long, Congress will grant standing to animals to protect their own rights and interests.”[17] This all stems from his claim that “animals, species as such, and perhaps even natural objects warrant respect for their own sake, and quite apart from their interactions with human beings.”[18]

en.wikipedia.org

What does this have to do with Healthcare? Simple,really- there would be less testing of drugs on animals, therefore fewer drugs able to help us in our time of sickness. I admit, there are some people I value less than some animals, but not in general, and not in policy, that is for sure.

When you combine these people with the other two people I wrote about yesterday, and add into the mix several others, like Van Jones, a convicted felon, and the “Green Jobs” Czar, and Carol Browner, an avowed socialist, and the Energy Czar, both of whom have radical agendas that will do nothing but impoverish us as we go forward, you have to be very concerned for our Republic and its future.

Our liberties are being stolen from us in the dark of the night, and they are grading Grandma to decide whether she is worth the care it will take to keep her alive. Meanwhile, as they decide that, they want to give animals more rights than they give Granny. The world is upside down, and we have truly gone down the rabbithole into Wonderland- although it is beginning to look a bit Satanic in its “answers” to the problems we face.

And I will reiterate the Resident’s own words yet again, because they bear repeating; ” If you want to see where I want to go, you need only look at who I surround myself with.”

Well, he didn’t lie about that, at least.

A Tale Of Two Media

[note]It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair… Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities[/note]

The discourse in America is being attacked by the liberal media because the people are attacking the plans of their chosen messiah. Obama has been spending like crazy, breaking campaign promises right and left and he has been pushing a Socialist agenda on the people. He and his Democratic minions as well as his Chicago thugs and SEIU goons are trying to stifle dissent by attacking the people who are expressing themselves. But what are we coming to? The signs that are displayed and the actions of the people are out of this world:

…protesters stalked his motorcade, assailed his limousine and stoned a car containing his advisers. Calling the President a terrorist, the demonstrators bullied passers-by, including gay softball players and a wheelchair-bound grandfather with multiple sclerosis.

One protester even brandished a sign that seemed to advocate the President’s assassination. The man held a large photo of the President that had been doctored to show a gun barrel pressed against his temple.

What kind of people would do this sort of thing? These are over the top antics by truly deranged people and the media are right to go after them because this is no way to express dissatisfaction. The media should not, however, say that these fringe elements represent an entire group of people.

Not to worry, the media did not even cover the event very much and none of the people were labeled as terrorists, whack jobs, nuts, or racists. This is because the paraphrased quote above is from a story describing how liberals reacted to President Bush when he attended a fundraiser in 2002.

The media did not cover this, the talking heads did not have any of them on TV discussing how dangerous they are and asking what kind of impression people should have and they were seen as people being patriotic by dissenting.

Now that Obama and his Democrats are catching hell the media are portraying people as nuts. Those who do have a Nazi symbol are pointed out by Nancy Pelosi (she did not point out the Nazi symbol at the Bush protest) and the media as representatives of an entire group of people and the group is stated to be all conservative. Democrats do not need Republican votes to pass anything so there must be more than just Republicans at these meetings.

This is how the media reacts to different parties. When Republicans are in power the protests are seen as dissent and the over the top stuff is ignored because the evil Republican deserves it. When a Democrat is in charge the media rally and start labeling people exercising their First Amendment rights as right wing nut jobs who are a bunch of racists that can’t stand a black man being in charge. This is what the media ignores while labeling you a nut job or dangerous:

Protesters slashed the tires of several state patrol cruisers and leapt onto an occupied police car, slamming the hood and blocking the windshield with placards. A female police officer was knocked to the street by advancing protesters, badly injuring her wrist.

The angry protest grew so violent that the Secret Service was forced to take the highly unusual step of using a backup route for Bush’s motorcade because the primary route had been compromised by protesters, one of whom pounded his fist on the president’s moving limousine.

Obama wants to stifle dissent and debate as evidenced by his statement that he wants those who caused the problem to be quiet and let him clean up the mess. There are plenty of people from both parties who are responsible for this mess so if he wants those who caused it to be quiet DC will sound like a library.

Pelosi and Hoyer called those who were up in arms un-American and Arlen Specter said that they do not represent most of America. As if a guy who can’t figure out what party he wants to be in knows what represents America.

Don’t let these elitists get you down. We have a formidable task in fighting the Socialists because we have to fight the elected as well as their media wing. The media will not report on their own mess but will hype up anything that will bring scorn to bear on the conservatives in this country.

Turn their programs off. Fight against government abuse. Vote every member of the House out of office next year. If you only vote for Democrats then vote for the primary challenger, same goes for Republicans. If there are no challengers in the primary then don’t vote for that particular candidate. If party is a secondary concern then vote for the other person. We can change the political landscape by voting them out of office.

We can also change what they do by voicing our opposition to their Socialist plans.

Now is the time for the next revolution. It needs to be peaceful (as long as the opposition keeps it that way) but effective.

UPDATE: Georgia Democrat David Scott’s office sign had a swastika painted on it. I don’t condone that kind of behavior (but rest assured the liberal media will blame it on a conservative extremist) but found what Scott said kind of interesting:

“We have got to make sure that the symbol of the swastika does not win, that the racial hatred that’s bubbling up does not win this debate,” Scott said in a telephone interview. “There’s so much hatred out there for President (Barack) Obama.” Yahoo News

I don’t remember Scott having this sentiment when the radical left was marching against Bush and proudly displaying that Nazi symbol.

Obama On Wrong Side Of History

When Barack Obama was running for the presidency he made a lot of promises. This is nothing new as all politicians try to be everything to everyone and they all make tons of promises. Most people know that they cannot keep the promises and, more importantly, the voters know it.

That is, of course, except for Obama supporters. Peggy the Moocher actually believes that Obama will buy her gas and pay for her house and countless others, including the doting media, believe that Obama will change the world.

Barack Obama has tried to lower expectations since he was elected and even stated, in an interview, that it was campaign rhetoric. In other words, you didn’t actually believe that, did y’all?

During Obama’s less than stellar inauguration speech he said:

“To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history ….” [emphasis mine]

The sainted one is trying to get this economic stimulus boondoggle passed and he has been courting Republicans, not because he needs them to get it passed but because he needs them to share the blame if it fails to stimulate the economy (and it will be a failure). But along the way this disciple of Saul Alinsky used rule #13 in Rules for Radicals in an attempt to silence dissent (this is listed as rule 12 in some references).

[note]Rule 13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)[/note]

Barack Obama picked a fight with Rush Limbaugh by saying that Republicans could not listen to Limbaugh and get anything done. Why would the president of the United States single out a private citizen for scorn? Why would the president go after anyone unless he felt that person was a threat? Interestingly, Limbaugh came out with his own economic plan in the spirit of bipartisanship and this seems to have stifled the sainted one.

Rush Limbaugh is a voice of dissent. Dissent use to be a good thing when it was Democrats dissenting. They told us constantly that dissent was a patriotic thing and their messiah even reiterated that point. The days of clinging to power by silencing dissent are over.

But then, as he has done since he swore in, Obama did the opposite of what he said. He said no lobbyists and he made an exception. He said no silencing of dissent and he wants to silence Limbaugh and any other voice that does not sing in harmony with his tune. Stop listening to Limbaugh or we can’t get anything done is the same thing as saying that the dissenting voice is getting in the way so we need to quiet it.

I know Obama’s ascent to the top was historic on a number of levels but it would seem that in practice Obama is on the wrong side of history.

And that is according to his own words.

Media Continues To Cover For Obama

While the media were obsessing over a $150,000 wardrobe the RNC bought for Sarah Palin to use (the clothes will go to charity when the campaign ends) and talking about how this money should not have been spent on her it ignored the lavish expense Barack Obama’s campaign spent on him. Obama used his campaign 757 airplane to fly to Hawaii to visit with his sick grandmother. No one can fault a guy for checking to see how his grandmother is doing after being under the bus for nearly a year but we can fault him for spending between $400,000 and $800,000 of his campaign money to do it.

Barack Obama should have taken a commercial flight or he should have chartered a smaller plane. In any event, the campaign should not have paid for this non campaign related trip. Did the campaign reimburse the government for the Secret Service who were obligated to go along? This was a strictly personal trip. The media ignored it while discussing clothing that was purchased for Palin to use.

But it is not unusual for the media to ignore the Savior. The leftist media have completely ignored Obama’s Socialist ideas. When Barack Obama told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to spread the wealth the media ignored it and attacked Joe. The media and some accomplices in government (using government computers) dug into Joe’s background more deeply than they have dared to venture into Obama’s. In fact, we now know more about a plumber who dared to ask a question than we do about a man who might become the next leader of this nation.

Obama’s spread the wealth comment was a public expression of what everyone with a brain already privately knew and that is, Obama likes Socialism/Marxism/Communism. He has not been extremely secretive about it. The 2001 interview that was recently discovered is very telling. Obama discusses redistributive wealth. In his book, Dreams of My Father, Obama discusses how he was drawn to Marxist professors:

“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father.” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.” Fox News

Obama has had close relationships with people who follow those philosophies. William Ayers, who Obama had more than a passing relationship with, is a Marxist professor and Obama not only served with him in professional capacities but has socialized with him as well. Obama’s political career was launched from Ayers’ house and Obama and Ayers attended a function honoring Rashid Khalidi who was the “mouthpiece” of Yasser Arafat.

That celebration was video taped and in it there are antisemitic remarks made by people attending, remarks which included a poem accusing Israel of terrorism and criticizing the US and its policies toward Israel. Rashid Khalidi is an antisemitic terrorist sympathizer who Obama described as a guy with whom he had engaged in a few conversations. The account of the night in question indicates that Obama was a frequent dinner guest of Khalidi.

We will likely not know much about this unless the LA Times decides to stop running cover for Obama and lives up to its journalistic responsibility by releasing the video. The LAT has claimed to have the video and it has written a story about it in the past but it refuses to allow the public to see the video. The video could be very damaging to Barack Obama because it will contradict some of the things he has said. It might show him with Ayers and it would most definitely show him with Khalidi. It will show him having a good time at an event that is a big Jew bash party.

Another Obama Friend (new ad)

NRO has an article about this and it asks a very interesting question. If there were a video of John McCain at a controversial event (like a party honoring some skinhead) and he was shown having a grand ole time with people in a manner that was unfavorable to him, do you really think the LAT would sit on it? That video would be on the Internet faster than Bill Clinton on an intern. But there is a double standard and Obama is definitely the candidate of the “objective” media.

I’ll go one further. If Sarah Palin had made a comment about John McCain being tested in the first 6 months of his presidency or if Palin had performed like Biden did in his two of his recent interviews, do you think she would be given the pass that the media have given him? Given how she has been treated since she entered this contest there can be no doubt as to what the answer is. She would be skewered for the interviews as she was with Gibson and Couric and the remark about being tested would be reported as a remark from an inexperienced candidate.

But let Biden be the one who interviews badly or says something stupid like the tested remark and the media ignore it. They are giving Biden a pass on everything so that Obama will not be harmed. The media did not spend this much time and effort on The One to have him lose this late in the game.

The media are in the tank for this guy and they will cover for him until the bitter end. They have failed in their responsibility to fully explore this candidate and to report honestly about him. They are, by their acts and words, an extension of his campaign and they will continue to work for him until this election is over.

The unfortunate part is that they have lost credibility and they have gone all in on a guy they know little about. The media have lost what little trust they have and the public will will hold them accountable for any post election discoveries that should have made in the last two years.

Obama’s past associations call his judgment into question and cast doubt on his stated feelings about, as Reverend Wright would say, the US of KKKA.

The people have the right to know but we will not get our information from places like the LAT. Is it any wonder the media are losing customers and firing staff? When a media outlet is guilty of journalistic malfeasance it is unlikely to last forever.

I just have not decided which one I want to see fold first, the LAT or the NYT…
