It was only a matter of time before someone at the federal level tried to impose upon us the health care that Mitt Romney gave to Massachusetts. The plan requires everyone to have health insurance and it is going to cost a lot more money than any estimate indicated. Of course, that money will come from taxpayers who already pay for their own health insurance.

Looking for the Apology from Jackass Murtha

When a group of United States Marines were accused of murder Jackass Murtha had them all tried and convicted long before charges were filed, long before any facts were entered and long before the Marines had their right to a fair trial. Murtha took it upon himself to call these brave warriors murderers. Not only did he prejudice the case he also tarnished their good names. Jackass Murtha exhibited absolutely no leadership traits when he decided to convict our war fighters in the court of public opinion. Many of us already knew that something was wrong with the case and hard work was done on behalf of these brave men.

Was Soldier A-Kos-ted?

I am at conference so I get my information a little later in the day. It appears that a soldier was dressed down by a man who thinks he is an officer in the Army. He dressed down a soldier who discussed the surge but I do not know all that was asked or said by the soldier because I could not hear him. I only heard Jon Soltz threatening the soldier and telling him that he was not allowed to ask a political question while in uniform. The reports are that after this Soltz twit stood down people who were answering the original question. Then retired General Wesley Clark explained that soldiers were not allowed to participate in politics while in uniform. Both of these officers are probably incorrect based upon what it appears happened.

9/11 Truthers Are Mentally Ill and Should Be Sedated

I have been relatively silent on the phenomenon of the 9/11 truth movement. I did take some shots at Rosie O’Donnell for her comments on the subject (and the fact that she changed part of her story on it) and I have commented about some of the things that have been said but I have not said much about the specific people who actually believe that the US government (read Bush and his evil Republicans) was responsible for the events on 9/11 and the collapse of the Twin Towers and WTC 7. My opinion was that these folks are entitled to believe what they want and sound as moronic as they want but now I think they are taking the part about being morons to a new level. They are ALL mentally ill.

Good for America Equals Bad for Democrats

Rush Limbaugh is fond of saying that the Democrats are the defeatist party and whatever is good for America is bad for them. They sit around joyously awaiting the body count of American military who gave all in the war on terror because they are happy to see things go badly. Good news, as in low numbers of killed, would be good for America but bad for the Democrats and their quest for power. Democrats will sell their very souls to Satan himself (or herself since Hillary is Satan in the flesh) in order to gain and keep power. They are low life cretins who place their desires above the needs of the country. House Majority Whip James Clyburn confirmed today that what is good for America is bad for Democrats.
