No Confidence Vote for Congress

The Congress, particularly the Democrats, have been bullying around members of the administration in what is clearly a partisan witch hunt. It does not matter how honorable people are or if their intentions are good, Congress will demonize them, especially if they are Republicans. Clinton fired all 93 US attorneys and not a word was uttered. Bush fires eight and all hell breaks loose. Rove advised Bush to fire them all, how right he was.

In any event, this political atmosphere is violent and the quips from Democrats regarding the Resignation of Alberto Gonzales has prompted me to start a new poll. You see, these people who are decrying the rule of law often break the laws themselves. With that in mind, I am asking for a “No Confidence Vote” on the US Congress. The poll is located in the right side bar and reads:

Do You Have Confidence in Congress?

Let us see how well Congress fares with regard to the confidence of the American people.

Hey, can you add another choice to the poll? I want to vote for Ron Paul…

I have no confidence in either side of aisle! They all suck.

So, the one US Attorney that really needs to be fired is johnny sutton of texas. HE OPENLY PROSECUTES DEFENDERS OF THE BORDER! He needs to be canned and then tried for treason, sedition, conduct unbecoming and anything else. OK, I vote republican most of the time. I used to be a liberal. But watching my country being invaded and nothing being done, something needs to be done. I am in favour of the fence( 12 feet high concrete with razor wire and towers every 1/4 mile with searchlights and Browning M-2’s(Ma Duece’s).

I agree with Glenn. Now the dimwits need to clean their house. Remember the Glass House thing. I did post a whole thing on the Glass House people but with the dim’s they have a lot of cleaning there to do. They also don’t realize they live in a Glass House. But being that they are all brain dead might have something to do with it. Let’s see Murtha, Kerry, Reid —-treason. Feinstein, Pelosi, Boxer—fraud, theft of government money for their husbands companies, Kennedy—breathing, Clinton & Schumer—-all of the above. The rest of them just fall into place also. Spector—inane comment, The AG didn’t really do anything but didn’t do well with public showing??? So now when your being questioned be real sharp, look good for the camera’s???

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales answered the questions put to him, in the manner he did, deliberately — that’s right, he purposely did not offer any information, give any details, expound on anything regarding the firing of the 8 US Federal Attorneys. Why? Because the questions were bogus, the whole issue was bogus designed to entrap him, Karl Rove, the Vice President and ultimately drum up something to IMPEACH President Bush.

The Attorney General knew exactly what the dis-honorable non-gentleman from Vermont, Chairman Patrick Leaky Leahy, was up to, a Presidential Impeachment witch hunt. That asshole acutally expected one of President Bush’s oldest and dearest friends, staunchest supporters, a former Texas Supreme Court Justice to help him do that? Leahy is an idiot.

Alberto Gonzales was laughing his ass off inside at these imbecilic liberals on the Senate Judiciary Committee! Go back and look at the man while he was testifying, he could barely keep a straight face. He looked like he was about to bust out laughing at any moment. Liberals aren’t running him out of his job.

If he’s going, it’s his decision and I promise you, it’s financial. Who wants to work for starvation wages and eat crap for another 18 months?

    Bd,
I have absolutly no confidence in congress. None, Nada, Nit and any other way that can be thought of. Everytime Feinstein said that she wanted a “No Confidence” vote on Gonzales I thought I would choke. With her corruption and fraud and the billions she has diverted in to her husbands companies she has a big set to ask for a no confidence vote on someone else. Everytime I see all of these relics on tv it makes me sick to my stomach.

If we didn’t have to pay them all of the millions in protection,ie:personnal pocket lining money every bill that goes through so maybe they will please do their jobs such as they are or as lame as they are I bet there would be a lot of money to fix roads and bridges and anything else. I find it hard to believe that all of the state lotto’s whose money is for schools can’t fix the schools. They never have enough. Where’s the money? It isn’t bad enough that we have to pay for our own kids school supplies it is demanded that we have to buy enough for 10 more kids who’s parents can’t afford it is off the charts. If the school called and asked me would I help some one that didn’t have the money to get the supplies for their kids I would gladly go and get for as many as I could. But then to the parents of these kids who can’t afford school supplies with the professional nails done and the hair and jewerly that I don’t have is not a good feeling.

Where I used to work we all put in a kitty for school supplies at the begining and at midterm and donated it to the schools. At Christmas we did the same thing and bought gifts and took them to the Marines to give out. We never did it for the recognition we did it because we could.

But back to the congress do you think they would ever do anything on their own with out being paid to? I don’t think they would only if they are confronted in public and didn’t want to be embarrassed. All in all I think they are useless.

To the dimwits keep up your hearings. By all means. It just keeps showing the senility of the hill. Your at 600+ and going on.

Sorry BD didn’t mean to rant on.

  9. Billy Joe says:

Did you think Gonzales was competent?

Watching his testimony, I’m amazed he remembered anything. Given his well documented (and videoed) forgetfulness, what do you suppose the chances are that he ‘didn’t remember’, say, a warning about a terrorist attack on the US? Who would entrust such a forgetful man with such an important job? A normal person might reasonably wonder if the President ever even bothered to watch Gonzales ‘testify’ before Congress.

He never should have been approved in the first place. He was in over his head and his primary loyalty was always with the President, not with the law.

  10. Big Dog says:

I think you might be on to something. Gonzales seemed to have forgotten quite a bit and in your eyes that means he should not be trusted with an important job. I will grant that point.

Since Bill Clinton said that he could not recall hundreds of times when questioned by Ken Starr it is equally true that he should never have been entrusted with our country.

Given that Hillary could not recall a significant number of times when she was questioned, she should not be entrusted with the country.

Thanks for pointing that out. Both of the transcripts and video (at least video of Bill) shows the forgetfulness to be true.

What I find amazing is that two people who said that they could not remember hundreds of times were able to remember enough to each write a book with nearly a thousand pages of things they remembered. Bill, of course, had to have three lawyers scour his book to make sure he did not perjure himself.

  11. Patsy says:

You have the audacity to ask that after Janet Reno?????? Oh, puh – lease! Alberto Gonzales played dumb, on purpose, BJ. He wasn’t about to take those bogus hearings seriously. Get real! You democrats think you’re so smart and we’re so stupid. Attorney General Gonzales decided he wasn’t playing your stupid ass “pin the tail on President Bush” game! And yes he did it brilliantly on tape, even you bought it, didn’t you?

    Billy Joe,

You need to go back to your doctor too. Your lobotomy is not working either. You have obviously lost most of the 90’s starting in ’92.
