Ironies And Gall Surround Obama

It is interesting to watch the MEssiah as he goes about his business because he is a complete contradiction to what he presented during the campaign. I believe that if he had discussed all this spending and had actually said what he was going to do he would never have won. The guy is hailed as a gifted speaker but as soon as he is away from a teleprompter he stutters and stammers and sounds like the years of drug abuse affected the speech center of his brain.

I think it is like watching a folly and it would be rather amusing if it were not so potentially fatal. His policies and his aggressive, steamrolling tactics are sending us down the path to hell.

Look at the irony of Obama and his cronies coming after those who don’t pay their taxes. Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal report that Obama is putting together a panel to overhaul the tax system so that they can get the 300 billion dollars that is not paid as it should be. Does it strike anyone as ironic that this statement is made?

“There are hundreds of billions of dollars in uncollected taxes each year,” Orszag said in a conference call. The Volcker board “will be examining ways of being even more aggressive on reducing the tax gap.” [Bloomberg]

The irony is that Tim Geithner was not the one who made the statement, Orszag was. Is it because Geithner was one of the tax cheats the overhaul is looking to detect? How ironic is it that Obama wants to go after tax cheats when the guy he picked to run Treasury is a tax cheat? How ironic is it that Charlie Rangel is a major tax cheat and is not being aggressively investigated? Obama wants new rules to crack down on YOU while the Democrats are full of tax cheats. How many of this guy’s picks had to bow out because of some tax problem?

It is amazing. It is like having a doctor who smokes tell you to give up cigarettes because they are bad for you or your pastor telling you to be faithful to your swife while he is having an affair. It is just wrong, it is hypocritical, and it is unmitigated gall.

I believe everyone should pay their fair share of taxes but I think members of government should be beyond reproach and this bunch is anything but.

Look at Obama’s press conference last night. I told you this guy would continue to blame Bush for as long as he could. It is interesting that he continues to blame Bush for the bad stuff but takes credit for the good stuff. If something good happens in Iraq we never hear Obama say that George Bush is responsible.

No, instead Obama will go on national TV and LIE. He said he inherited a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit. That is an absolute lie. Forgetting for a moment that Congress controls the purse strings, let’s look at the deficit numbers. At Gateway Pundit there is a chart that shows the deficit under Bush was slightly over 400 billion dollars at its highest point. The projected deficits for Obama are over a trillion dollars for the first two years and never drop below about 600 billion. The projection out to 2019 is just as bleak.

The numbers are only public debt and don’t include government to government debt or the numbers for everyone are enormous. Obama was lying when he said what he did or he was using a different set of numbers in order to make his case. The information comes from the Heritage Foundation and they report that Obama has quadrupled the debt with his stimulus package.

Obama also defended his reduction of the charitable contribution tax deductions for wealthier Americans saying that it would not lead to less money being donated basing this on some kind of evidence. I don’t really know what plant he hails from but on Earth the opposite has been demonstrated. As pointed out at Just One Minute (from a 2005 analysis):

The authors compile and contrast the results of a vast number of studies looking at the interplay of tax rates and charitable giving. Although people have many motivations for their philanthropy the conclusion of almost all of these studies points in the same direction – on net people give less when it costs them more.

Maybe on Krypton that is not a problem but on Earth people, even those who are very charitable, don’t give as much if it will cost them more. The Obama plan is a disincentive to give but then again, why would a liberal understand charity? It isn’t like they actually give much…

Finally, the lynch mob has taken its toll on one AIG executive. The New York Times published the letter of resignation of Jake DeSantis. Be sure to read his entire letter. The guy worked for a $1 a year based on the bonus that AIG was legally obligated to pay. Now Congress wants to take 90% of it as a punishment for a guy who had nothing to do with the problems and who stayed on to help.

I see more of these coming. In the end AIG will fail and we will be on the hook for billions of dollars. If we had let them fail in September we could have saved that money.

I love how you’ve jumped on the bandwagon of attacking Obama for relying on a teleprompter. But at least you haven’t mentioned the made up Irish teleprompter gaffe story that Drudge and Limbaugh and that idiot Sean Hannity have been talking about.

Yes, because Obama can’t speak eloquently 100% of the time without his teleprompter you fine folks in the opposition are treating him he’s not a gifted speaker. Get real.

I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that you folks have stored up every attack liberals made on Bush over the last 8 years and you’re making them against Obama one by one except without facts or evidence to back any of it up.

It started with Obama stealing the election. Some on your side states that as fact. Then it was Obama was a failure, just minutes into his presidency. Then it was that Obama’s numbers were plummeting and his support was terrible despite no real strong downward trends anywhere. Then I started hearing suggestions that Obama is a Nazi. He’s apparently a commie and a socialist and a nazi all wrapped into one somehow. Now it’s Obama isn’t a gifted speaker because he relies too much on a teleprompter.

You guys are pathetic. Why don’t you find real things to attack Obama for instead of recycling all the ways Bush was a miserable failure.

Listen to the way he says, “You know” if you can detect it in his speech.

How would you act if W. said that there were 57 states, that he’d been to all but one though his staff prevented him from going to Alaska or Hawaii? If he pronounced “Orion” “ory-on”? If he said Caterpillar would be hiring back thousands of fired workers if the stimulous package passed?

What’s pathetic is you mindless sychophants.

      Cheers,
      Liberty Card

I get sick when people say this piece of crap liar is a gifted speaker. It is nothing of the sort, it is a thing that can read only what it’s puppet master Soros demands of it. It is a pawn, evil and should be gone ASAP for the good of this country. I can not wait for the REVOLUTION. I KNOW WE WILL WIN AGAINST THE SPINELESS WHO ARE SO WEAK………

  2. Big Dog says:

Listen to yourself. Made up. Yeah. I can only go by what reporters who were there said. I don’t know, I have never needed a teleprompter.

I told you that if a Democrat won it was time for payback. You guys leveled one unfounded thing after another against Bush and now, you claim we are doing that.

He is a failure. He has abandoned a number of promises and he is in over his head. He is a rookie making rookie mistakes. He does not know what he is doing and he is dragging DC into Chicago style politics.

Obama is a Socialist and he does follow Alinsky’s rules. You can’t see it because you are a Socialist as well.

    You like that stuff.

  3. Barbara says:

Adam isn’t going to like it when the government takes over and starts telling him what to do without him having a choice. At least we will be ready for it. The news conference was a joke. He planned on whom he was calling on, and he was sarcastic when he didn’t like a question. Also, the polls are not accurate because they pick the people they want to poll. You don’t see them asking a Republican, do you. His on-line questions will be a joke also as they will be screened. Obama must really think we are stupid.

  4. Big Dog says:

Barbara, Adam won’t mind. He believes that government should run our lives. He believes that the wealthy have some obligation to take care of the less fortunate by force of the tax code.

Adam likes the idea of daddy government telling him how much to make, what to do, when to sleep, all of it.

Adam has an iPod with a recording of Barack Obama on it. It constantly says “breathe in, breathe out, breath in, breathe out.”

Good thing too because without the government to do everything for him he might not make it.

    • Victoria says:

Well, HR 1388 passed so the government will be coming for Adam and everyone else eventually. “Brownshirts”–are you ready? Actually they stripped out the wording where mandantory was used but they will get it back in eventually.

  5. cmblake6 says:

You mentioned Alinsky, but I’ve been doing a bit of reading on the Cloward-Piven strategy. Seems a touch closer.

  6. Adam says:

Made up? Yes, the Irish teleprompter gaffe story was made up. Prove me wrong.

I have no problems with people who have legitimate beefs with Obama. He’s a liberal, a Democrat, a black man, etc., all things that frustrate many of you conservatives. I’m OK with that, plenty of room to complain. I’m not OK with you recycling attacks used on Bush but having no real fact or evidence to support the attack. That’s not “paypack” my friend. That’s just you hemorrhaging credibility.

And apparently when I point out all the things you accuse Obama of that have no basis in reality you just start in on how I’m a socialist and I want government to run everything. Right. You forgot too that I can’t wait for the government to make it mandatory to eat a 100% plant diet like I do and like Hitler wanted. That will show you angry gun toting capitalistic red meat eating lunatics a thing or two. Ha ha!

    • Big Dog says:

No Adam, get the media that reported it (you know, those who were there) to retract what they wrote.

Here is where I have my problem with you and your overt racist remarks. You say that Obama is a Democrat and a Liberal and BLACK and that is what bothers many conservatives.

Let’s get this straight, most people don’t give a crap what color he is (but he is half and half to be technical). There are as many liberal Democrats who don’t like a black guy president as conservative Republicans. Let us not forget that the racist remarks and slogans came from Democrats in their primary. Let us not forget that it was the Democratic party that opposed ending slavery, opposed the civil rights act, opposed equal rights for blacks, and on and on. Let us not forget that the Democratic party is the party wit the history of racism. Remember, MLK Jr was a Republican.

Let us not forget that it was the Republican party that ENDED slavery and gave many white lives doing it. It was the Republican president that introduced civil rights and the Republicans suppoerted it by higher majorities than Democrats.

So when you come here and say that it bothers Republicans that he is black you are misrepresenting facts and you are fanning flames fo racism that does not exist. I don’t care what color he is. I care what he is doing to our country.

You claim these things have no basis in reality because you want to believe the opposite. How do you stand on the slavery legislation that was just passed?

If they pass a law requiring 100% vegetables I will still shoot and eat meat and I will shoot any vegetarian that tries to stop me. That will show you Nazi vegetarians a thing or two, Ha Ha.

Next time we go out to dinner I am eating a steak.

      • Adam says:

On the teleprompter thing you mean like this? You folks are so itchy to make fun of Obama for something, anything, that you’ll ignore context simply run with your misunderstanding.

I like that I’m racist for pointing out conservative racism though. You wish. No amount of past history makes up for the current racial divides in America due to the Republican Party. The party that ended slavery became the party of the Southern Strategy. That’s an about face that you seem to ignore. Blacks ask: So what have you done for me lately?

There is no strong evidence to suggest MLK was a Republican but we do know MLK voted for Kennedy and LBJ so what kind of Republican are you bragging about? What does that matter anyway? I do know that I read in MLK’s biography in his own words that he didn’t consider himself belonging to one party or another and that he would vote for a president not just for who the person was but who their friends were as well.

On the slavery legislation? The public service stuff? If that’s what you mean let’s see what kind of bill comes out of committee before we talk about slavery.

I’d much rather you shoot and kill your meat than buy it at Burger King and not just because you could get caught in crossfire there.

But I’ve been able to surmise you eat a lot of meat simply by seeing how full of poo you are on a daily basis in our conversations here. After all there’s poo in the meat.

      • Adam says:

Or you can also read this article if you’re really that sure of yourself that Obama is so much like Ron Burgandy that he’ll read anything on the teleprompter in front of him:

As Mr Cowen lamented aloud that autocues were not “idiot proof”, the president took the microphone again and pretended to carry on the confusion, saying: “First of all I’d like to thank President Obama”.

You know, just more quotes from those who were there…

        • Big Dog says:

I don’t believe I said anything aboot Obama thanking Obama (I heard he was joking to lightne the moment). I said there was a gaffe and your articles show they were.

MLK’s daughter said he was a Republican.

He voted for Kennedy for one reason. He wrote a letter to Nixon and Kennedy asking for their help in the investigations into him that might land him in jail. Nixon did not respond and Kennedy did. King promised a lot of black votes for the help and he did just that.

You tell me what kind of peace maker he was. He voted for LBJ who continued the war in Vietnam that Kennedy started.

That Southern strategy involved blacks registering as Democrats and causing whites in the south to move to the Republican party. It is attributed to Nixon but it actually originated in a NYT article.

        • Adam says:

I think it’s good to go back and note you didn’t really bring up the so-called gaffe, just something I was thinking about. I’d been seeing where Drudge, Limbaugh and Hannity were falsely accusing Obama of mistakenly thanking himself because of a teleprompter error. There was a sort of ambiguity there over what we were actually arguing about since you never brought it up directly yourself.

I’m not going to go out and say MLK was a Democrat or was not a Republican because I simply haven’t seen any real evidence. I just find it kind of funny that the GOP ties to say that lately despite the fact that King voted Democrat. You should cite some sources. I haven’t seen any good one or found where his daughter spoke on the subject. What kind of peace maker was King? I guess I don’t know what you mean. But to go back to what I mentioned briefly before I know King voted for LBJ because he didn’t like the alternative. If King was a Republican you’d probably just call him a RINO anyway so I don’t know why you’d bring it up.

It doesn’t matter the origins of the Southern Strategy but there is no doubt it was used by the Republican party to win in the Southern states through the use of race issues.

  7. cdosrun says:

I believe Reagan had the right idea.
He was in favor of shrinking government and strengthening the military. Obama seems to think otherwise. I feel that Reagan was one of the best presidents we have ever had, and we really need him now. We don’t need Obama and his socialist agenda.
I really hope that Obama and Geithner don’t receive control over anything more, as they have already done enough damage.

  8. Big Dog says:

I don’t think the Southern Strategy was a Republican thing. I just think it was noted that as more blacks registered Democrat, more whites changed party.

In reality, it was not necessarily a racist issue as it was a strategic move. If they were not going to get more than 10 or 20% of the black vote why not get the white vote? I don’t feel it is any more racist than voting for Obama because he is half black. I think that is as good a reason as any.
