Dangerous Words

Did you know that a private individual speaking the word “Amen” can cause “irreparable harm,” and can literally be jailed for speaking that word? Well, that’s how it is in America, according to a federal judge. No, I’m not making this up. No, this isn’t a restriction on a government agent. This is a restriction on any person who dares to utter that word at the “wrong” time.

Go ahead, keep trying to convince me the Constitution is the law of the land.

Debt Ceiling? We have cash!

While the Congress pretends to argue these days with Obama and everyone whines that we’re out of money, you have to wonder why a single person in Congress actually expects us to believe anything they say. After all, just in today’s news:

But hey, this is the federal government. If they want more money, they don’t care about laws or the Constitution — They’ll just print more. I guess they want Congress to sign on so they can pass the blame for this fiscal disaster on to someone else.

US Senator: GIVE ME CASH!

United States Senator Roy Blunt is demanding that every person who works in America give him cash — lots and lots and lots of cash. And he is completely prepared to send men with guns after you to get him more cash.

And yes, he wants millions of dollars, if not billions. No, he doesn’t give a damn that you worked hard to earn that money. He’s claiming it, he’s demanding it, and he’s willing to use force to get it.

Why? Because he feels better (and gets votes) when he spends other people’s money. No, there’s no work on if he will spend even one dollar of his own money to help anyone in need. Why should he, when he has access to literally limitless funds that you work to earn?

TSA: We Will Fondle You!

…and if you don’t like it, we WILL DESTROY YOU.

So says the TSA to the state of Texas. And sadly, Texas backs down.

It’s so sad that this happens in a country founded on liberty.

The details: The state of Texas wanted to make it a crime for someone to fondle a person’s breasts, butt, or other sexual organs against their will. That seems like a reasonable law, doesn’t it? It’s got a victim, and there’s a clear crime. But no, says the federal government. The federal government says that they ARE going to finger people and touch sexual organs all they want. And if Texas makes groping people a crime, then the state of Texas will be shut down. The federal government will send troops and use violence to be sure they are allowed to touch people any damn way they want to.

The Texas House had already passed the law. But the feds openly threatened the Senate (you know, threatening people used to be a crime, too), and sadly the Senate backed down.

I really wish the Senate would have had the balls to call the feds on this one. But well, another blow for liberty and freedom. I can’t say I’m surprised.

USDA: Another Worthless Pile of Crap

The USDA claims that it’s mission is:

We provide leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, and related issues based on sound public policy, the best available science, and efficient management.

I think they should update their web site to be more accurate:

We are petty bureaucrats with the police powers. We can and will do whatever the hell we want, and we have lots of men with guns to back us up. We will give lip service to agriculture, because that’s in our name. And we will take money from people we dislike and give money to people we like. You cannot stop us because we’re unaccountable to anyone at any time and we have lots and lots of men with guns to force you to do what we want.

Hell, that would be a LOT more accurate, especially when considering the recent news about the $4 million dollar fine for raising and selling a few hundred rabbits.
