Democrats and Corruption; a Game of Hide not Seek

During the last couple of years the Democrats have focused on the Republican Culture of Corruption and have highlighted every instance where some Republican has done something unethical or illegal. I welcome these so that we can weed out the bad people and replace them with folks who have higher standards. The problem is, Democrats routinely ignore or dismiss their own corruption. Nancy Pelosi has vowed to clean up the Congress.
The Democrats have largely ignored the troubles of William Jefferson of Louisiana and were reluctant to remove him from his committee. Pelosi backed Jack Murtha who is corrupt and has a long history of back room deals. The fact that he was caught on a 57 minute tape trying to figure out how to take a bribe did not stop Pelosi from endorsing him as the Majority Leader, which he thankfully did not get. Now there is news that John Conyers has admitted to some wrong doing.
Conyers, who openly stated that he would seek the impeachment of the President, has admitted to using his staff illegally during the last campaign.
Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) has “accepted responsibility” for possibly violating House rules by requiring his official staff to perform campaign-related work, according to a statement quietly released by the House ethics committee late Friday evening. [emphasis mine] The Hill
Notice how the statement was released quietly, in order to avoid much press? Additionally, the release of the information will surely be overshadowed by news of Ford’s Funeral and Hussein’s Execution. This is how the Democrats clean up corruption; they ignore it or they release it quietly on a Friday and when it can be overshadowed by other events. Conyers, rather than being punished or indicted, has agreed to take additional steps to ensure this does not happen again. I do not know if the “it” is committing the crime or getting caught.
I have stated a number of times that there is corruption on both sides of the aisle and that whoever commits these crimes should be punished, regardless of political party. It would appear though, that the way Democrats will end corruption is to ensure they hide the corruption of the left rather than prosecuting it as they have called for in the case of Republicans.
If we want to put an end to this we need to call for term limits for members of Congress. They get into power and all have good intentions but after while the power and money go to their heads and we end up with corruption. Term limits will get them out before they can succumb to the lure of money and power.
Until we get term limits, it will be fun exposing the corruption of the left, at least, for the next two years.

Milblogger Injured

Little Green Footballs and Blackfive are reporting that Milblogger J. R. Salzman has been injured by an IED. He lost his right arm and his left arm and hand are injured. He is at Walter Reed and is reported to be in good spirits. He will receive a laptop from Soldier’s Angels from Project Valour-IT. Thanks to all who have contributed to that cause.

The Mighty One Has Fallen

Hillary Clinton has been the anointed one of the Democratic party for the past few years with speculation running wild over whether or not she would run for the presidency. People with a brain knew all along that she was going to run despite her protestations about not thinking past her reelection to the Senate. Days after she won handily, she was already making plans to become the next president. Not too bad for a person who was not thinking about it. Her staffers indicated she was following the timetable she had long ago worked out so that pretty much dispelled the idea of “not thinking about it.”
Hillary was doing well until an upstart named Obama showed up and garnered a lot of attention. Then, ambulance chaser John Edwards joined the fray from New Orleans where he decided that after such a long time of government inaction, he needed to get there and shovel some dirt. Edwards played his two Americas theme using the backdrop of the battered city of New Orleans, a city he did not lift a finger to help prior to his announcement. Edwards could not pick any or the places in Florida that have been waiting for years to rebuild because that would not fit his theme. Seems that even well off white people can be devastated by a natural disaster and end up waiting to rebuild. Edwards instead, chose a place where the inhabitants are mostly poor to push home his idea of two Americas.
Hillary can not like all the attention her rivals are getting and the latest polls from Iowa can not be too comforting either. Hillary has slipped to fourth place in a poll of likely Democratic voters and her 23 point lead in New Hampshire has dwindled down to a mere 1 point over Obama and Clinton is baffled as to how she should handle it:

Hillary Clinton is nothing like her husband who, if nothing else, is a charismatic man and a good speaker. Hillary is shrill and robotic and comes off as a calculating manipulative drone. Asking Hillary to be charismatic is like asking a Great White not to eat meat. It just can not happen and if a candidate has to force charm on people then it says little for that candidate’s ability to persuade people effectively.
Like them or not Obama and Edwards have more charm and appeal than Hillary can ever muster and she is going to have to go dirty in order to beat these two out for the top billing. That is more likely what her team is working on in the dark, dank bowels of the Queens dungeon. Look for some low shots to come out in the near future. Hillary should make it interesting because her opponents will have plenty of ammunition to shoot back should the cold one decide to go dirty.

Daily Kos and the Rest of the Anti-American Idiots

Have any of you ever seen the guy who runs the Daily Kos website? He is this nerdy, pansy looking guy that looks like he is afraid of his own shadow. Now, he wields a lot of power in the Liberal blogosphere to be sure and any Lib who crosses the “Kos” will certainly experience his wrath. Kos has the resources to muster a lot of moonbats and have them donate to his half baked causes. Kos hates Conservatives and he hates Bush (who is not a Conservative). Kos allows his moonbat buddies to foam at the mouth while writing with one hand and pleasuring themselves with the other all in the name of Liberalism.
Kos and his idiot following hate America, they disagree with the war, and they would love nothing more than to succumb to Sharia Law and follow the teachings of Satan’s brother, Mohammad the false Prophet. The people at his site and those they link to are really pathetic and think they know what is best for this country when the truth is most of them could not pour piss out of a boot if the directions were written on the bottom. That does not stop them from their stupidity.
Interestingly, these same folks who say they desire peace (you know everyone holding each other’s hands and singing) have no problem either wishing violence on others or making threats. When Wild Bill exposed the Page who outed Mark Foley and showed this person was not a child he had tens of thousands of hits to his website and a large number were from the Kos yahoos who made threats against Bill and his family. Of course, that is the great thing about the Internet, a coward can make threats from the safety of his house (or in the Kos kids case, mommy’s basement). These same tough guys who made the threats would wet themselves if they actually met someone face-to-face and had to communicate a threat. They would realize that they are likely to get an ass whipping for running off at the mouth. They would cower and slither away, back to their keyboards to make more threats, ooh real men.
The Kos kids and the other idiots that Pee Wee Kos links to are like Saddam Hussein. A lot of bravado when it does not matter or there is no opposition but full of fear when made to face the music. I will link to one item that Kos printed. It comes from this site and is written by an anti-American, anti-Christian jackass who calls himself General somebody. His rank is more appropriately Major as in Major Screw-up. With idiots like this and Steve “Sambo**” Gilliard (with Jen his trusty sidekick in stupidity who cry about Hussein getting what he deserved) it is no wonder people think Senator Tim Johnson has better brain function than most Liberals.
