What, no cut and run from Hillary?

A recent poll shows that a majority of Democrats think Hillary Clinton should stay in the race. The candidate herself, despite insurmountable odds, has indicated she will stay in until the end and that she plans to win. Hillary and her supporters want her to stay even though it looks impossible to win and even though she is broke and lending her campaign money.

These are the same people who want us to cut and run from Iraq. They are the folks who tell us that we cannot win in Iraq and that it is costing a lot of money (it is). The successes in Iraq are certainly more evident than in the Clinton campaign but nonetheless, they want us to cut and run from the war.

Why is it that people who advocate cutting and running from a war we are having success in advocate for Hillary to stay the course even though she cannot win without her party screwing Barack Obama over?

If these people applied the same standard to Hillary’s campaign as they do to the war then she would have been gone long ago. Not that I want to see her leave but one would think these people could at least be consistent.

The painful truth is that if the Democrats had a winner take all primary, Hillary would have locked up the nomination long ago. However, the Democrats chose to play games with their system and now they are in a pickle. There will be blood at their convention and a lot of people will have hurt feelings.

Who could ask for anything more?

Democrats on taxes: You won’t miss your money

The Democrats are proposing an income tax surcharge on people making $500,000 or more (and then saying it is on millionaires) in order to pay for education benefits for veterans. The bill for veteran’s education was shot down last week because it did not have a funding source. The Blue Dog Democrats have decided to enforce pay as you go rather than running up the deficit. Things like that happen in an election year especially with Democrats who are in fairly conservative areas of the country.

I do not like the idea of taxing anyone to pay for these programs. The federal government takes in plenty of money and it needs to get its house in order and reduce spending on BS stuff. They waste money and then pilfer more. It is time for them to get their acts together. If it isn’t bad enough they want to confiscate more of people’s money, here is a demonstration of the attitude they have toward you and your money:

“What we’re talking about is a one-half percent income tax surcharge on incomes above $1 million,” said Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., a leader of the Blue Dog group. “So someone who earns $2 million a year would pay $5,000. … They’re not going to miss it.” Yahoo News

They might be Blue Dogs but they still like to tax people. A couple of things here. Unless I am mistaken a half a percent of 2 million is 10 thousand not 5. Additionally, did you notice the cavalier attitude toward other people’s money? They are not going to miss it. That is the height of arrogance and shows the contempt these people have for us. Who is this puke Congressman to decide whether a person will miss his money or not? It is not up to Congress to decide if we will miss it or not.

This is why they continue to screw us left and right. Their attitude is that they can decide how we should run our lives.

I would not miss Congress if they all suddenly disappeared. Will Congressman Ross be so kind as to take them away somewhere as well? What these “millionaires” ought to do is stop donating money to politicians. They should shut them off completely and not give them one cent. When the politicians ask for donations just tell them; “It’s OK, you won’t miss the money.”

I hate politicians and I especially hate politicians who steal our money. Let’s send all of them packing this year.

The real Barack Hussein Obama

This is an interesting video that lists some major issues with Barry Obama. It goes into detail to explain what black liberation theology is, who Cone was and what he wrote and how Barry connects with all this. The video lays out a firm foundation that explains why Barry does not honor our flag and why his wife has not, until recently, been proud of America.

It is 13 minutes long but well worth the time.

Should Hillary have said it?

Barack Obama has started acting less like a candidate in a primary and more like a presumptive nominee for his party. He is looking past Hillary Clinton and directly at John McCain. Obama is in a good position and feels comfortable though I would not count out a Clinton. Hillary is expected to win big in West Virginia today and Kentucky next week and then, according to rumors, she will drop out of the race. No matter how strong Obama is going, 64% of Democrats nationwide want her to stay in the race so we will see what she does after Kentucky.

The article describing the rumor indicated that she hinted she would leave after those contests, presumably so she could leave on a high note. There is one thing she said that I think might have been better kept in her brain:

“A woman is like a tea bag: You never know how strong she is until she is in hot water.” New York Post

Given her husband’s past and what he lied about doing (and considering the hot water he got in), I am not sure I would have used the words Tea Bag to describe a woman.

Quit monkeying around with racism

Pat Buchanan has an interesting piece up at Human Events where he talks about how Bill and Hillary Clinton have been called racists by the very people who viewed him as the first black president. He discusses his view that Obama and his people have shouted racism at anything and everything and therefore have defined the parameters of what is allowed to be talked about. He notes that John Mccain has already said what is off the table for the general election and that by allowing the opponent to dictate the terms the results are usually defeat.

This is evident in Marietta Georgia where a pub owner is selling shirts with a picture of Curious George on them with the words Obama 08 underneath. This has certain groups of people up in arms decrying the racism involved in using a picture of a monkey to depict a black man. Protests are planned outside the establishment where groups opposed to the shirt will gather:

The Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Nation of Islam and the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials were among the organizations expected at Tuesday’s rally.

“Mulligan’s is promoting and selling racially offensive T-shirts, and Marietta and Cobb County residents and taxpayers abhor and cannot condone, any longer, this type of divisive and incendiary behavior in our community,” said Jerry Gonzalez, executive director of GALEO. AJC

The owner said that he is not racist and feels that Obama resembles Curious George. The groups are not buying it and they want to put an end to calling black people chimps. I want to know when it became bad to call a black guy a chimp but OK to call a white guy one. For the last seven plus years the left in this country has referred to George Bush as Chimpy, Chimpy McBush, and Chimpy Bush. His picture has been altered to make him look like a monkey and yet none of these people who protest today said a word. Bush’s face was placed on the body of a handicapped person in an ad for the Special Olympics, not a word.

First of all, I think the owner might be right. Obama does kind of look like Curious George. If he says he is not a racist and that this is the reason he picked the picture then I am OK with that. He should not let others decide the boundaries for him as the Obama backers will want to do. If these people cared about how people were treated they would have protested all the references to George Bush and a chimp. Here are a few, just for fun. Google Bush chimp and see what comes back.

From Hot Air, a short on Saturday Night Live
Time Magazine search for chimp (it is in the comments)
And this site called The Smirking Chimp (look at the picture in the title)

There are 142,000 results in Google for the search phrase “chimpy bush” so it is safe to say that the phrase has been used quite a bit. Add the nice Hitler phrases to it and you have people equating our president with a maniacal killer who happens to be one of the most despised people of all time. And yet, people are upset about Obama being compared to a cartoon character (sounds like the Mohammad cartoon issue).

Like I stated, I take the guy at his word but even if he meant it to be offensive I don’t care. I don’t care about the protesters (which curiously includes the Nation of Islam, hmmmm) because they are not interested in fairness. They kept quiet while this was being done to Bush and now want to complain because it involves Obama. I would not be surprised if half of them referred to Bush as a chimp or as Hitler. To hell with them. They can all suck wind as far as I am concerned. The only thing I want to know now is how I can get one of those shirts.

The last item to offer is this. Maybe they are right to be upset that Curious George is being used to represent Obama. After all, Obama is not 100% black. He is half white. Perhaps it would have been OK if the picture was of a zebra or an Oreo cookie. I also don’t want to read about context and slavery and all the other crap that is used to justify behavior. If it is bad for one group it is bad for the other, period. Otherwise, what goes around, comes around.

Hats off to the owner, Mike Norman for exercising his right to free speech.
