Crime Will Be Down In Chicago On Christmas Eve

Crime in Chicago will be down on Christmas Eve because the government will be shut down with the exception of essential services.
The City of Chicago will be shutting down early for the Christmas holiday, as part of Mayor Daley’s plan to save the cash-strapped city money.
City Hall, public libraries, health clinics and most other city offices will be closed on Christmas Eve as those city workers are being forced to take the day off without pay. CBS 2 Chicago
Since most of the crime in Chicago is committed by the government then it stands to reason that there will be less crime.
Of course, the Chicago thugs in DC will still be committing crimes against humanity.

Democrat Thuggery; Whatever It Takes

The Democrats will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Nancy Pelosi said that they will do whatever they have to in order to get health care reform passed. The Senate is locked in a battle over their, as yet unwritten (but debated in secret) bill and each new change causes a gained vote at the loss of another. So what do the Democrats do in order to get what they want?
Well, when Lieberman was not on board they went after his wife. A blogger/Hollywood type by the name of Jane Hamsher started the attack on Lieberman’s wife Hadassah who is the global ambassador for the Susan G Komen for the Cure breast cancer group. Hamsher is trying to get her fellow Hollywood types to put pressure on the organization to get rid of Mrs. Lieberman.
This is Chicago politics at its best (though Hamsher probably learned her thuggery from SEIU). To be fair it is not the Democrats in Congress doing this but the Democrats in the field. To giver further credit, The Daily Kos thought it was over the top and if they think so, it must be because they are really out there.
Hamsher is a liberal activist who thinks it is perfectly OK to go after the family of politicians with whom she disagrees. This is not unusual for the left. Look at how they went after Palin’s family while leaving Obama’s alone. Imagine how Hamsher would react if people tried to inflict some personal (not physical) harm on Obama’s kids because of his actions. I imagine she would be pretty upset, and rightly so. But she seems to think it is OK to attack Mrs. Lieberman because of her husband’s political acts. The Komen for the Cure group does a lot of great work in the area of breast cancer and it raises a lot of money. Hadassah Lieberman is a cancer survivor as is Hamsher who had breast cancer. One would think that this yenta could leave the politics out of such a worthy pursuit.
The attacks on Hadassah Lieberman are wrong, period! I understand that Komen for the Cure has no intention of releasing her and this is commendable. I will continue to donate to this worthy organization but will have to reconsider if they allow politics to take over and fire Mrs. Lieberman.
There is more to the thuggery. Democrats are apparently so eager to get the health care bill passed in the Senate that Ben Nelson might have been threatened. The Weekly Standard is reporting that Nelson was told if he did not get on board that Offutt Air Force Base would be put on the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) list:
According to a Senate aide, the White House is now threatening to put Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base on the BRAC list if Nelson doesn’t fall into line.
There are varying stories on this and Nelson has denied it (what else could he do to spare his party) and there was initial word that Rahm Emanuel was behind the threat. This would not come as a surprise given the way twinkle toes Emanuel has played politics in the past. He is a hard nosed Chicago thug and threats are a way of life to him.
If this turns out to be true then the Obama administration has placed the passage of an agenda item above the security of the US. It shows that the administration is willing to play politics with our security.
Whoever made the threat though, is unfamiliar with how BRAC works. It is a long drawn out process that takes years. The reality is that by the time this would even be considered many Democrats will be out of a job and Obama might be on a speaking tour discussing why he was a one term leader.
These thugs go after family members and make threats to get what they want. Of course they try bribery first, that is what got Mary Landrieu on board. She sold herself to the highest bidder so it was not necessary to leave a horse’s head in her bed.
But there are plenty of those heads being distributed as Democrats look for a way to jam this through at all costs.
As for Hamsher, Glenn Beck revealed tonight that she dated Andy Stern of SEIU for about two years. Since we know how thuggish SEIU is, some of it must have rubbed off on Hamsher. She went from being a liberal to being a violent activist.
She is so insignificant I can’t think of anything she has done in Hollywood but if I know she is involved in something I will be sure to avoid it.
Maybe she can lose her job…
Or maybe she will die of the disease Mrs. Lieberman is working hard to help eradicate…
I don’t wish her death but that would be rather ironic.

Stacked And Packed; Chicago Women Arming For Defense

Chicago Illinois is a city where the gun laws are very strict and yet it is at or near the top in gun related crimes. The reality about laws is that criminals do not obey them. This is no different for gun laws. Make it illegal to own a gun and the only people who are harmed are those who actually have a Constitutionally protected right to own them. The guy who robs stores or is involved in street corner drug deals does not really care if he is breaking a gun law by possessing a gun.
Women in Chicago are not happy with the crime there and they have decided to do something about it. Women are purchasing handguns and are taking classes to learn how to use them. This has even more impact when one considers all the hoops, the cost and the nuisances that the government in Chicago requires those who want to legally own guns to accomplish before they may actually own one. These women are going through a lot to exercise a right that is not supposed to be infringed so that they can provide the protection that the police and their elected officials cannot.

I believe that when a liberal city, and Chicago is very liberal, has citizens starting to buy guns for protection it sends a clear message that the liberals running the place have failed the population. Liberals generally oppose private gun ownership. The increase in women buying guns must necessarily include liberal women because of the heavily Democratic population.
This might seem like a contradiction but it is not. I believe that all citizens who are not criminals should be allowed to buy and carry firearms. I have no problems with an armed population (unless the only ones armed are the criminals) because an armed population is a civil population. In conservative areas where they allow people to carry they do so as a matter of protection and to exercise their rights. In liberal areas people are generally opposed to gun ownership. The liberals believe that people can all sit around, hold hands, and sing songs. They believe that government can and will protect them. If those liberals abandon that belief then they are waking to the fact that the liberal pap they have been fed is untrue and that the philosophy is a failed one.
Major cities run by liberals are the ones failing (economy aside) and they are the ones that are always raising taxes and increasing spending on social programs. Liberals like to point to red states and say that they consume more of the tax money in welfare while overlooking the reality that in many of those red states there are densely populated, major cities that are overwhelmingly liberal. That is where the money goes.
Women in Chicago are awakening to the reality that liberalism is a failed experiment. Perhaps they are even seeing that liberalism is evolving into Socialism and Communism. Perhaps they are realizing that they have been sold a bill of goods and are looking for a way out.
Then again, Obama is from Chicago. Perhaps these women see that while he opposes gun ownership he has thousands of armed people who protect him every minute of his life and they have decided that if a gun is good enough to protect Obama, it is good enough to protect them.
Whatever the reason, it is good to see them exercising their right. With any luck, Chicago’s Draconian gun laws will be struck down and they will not have to navigate so many obstacles to get and keep their weapons.
There is nothing hotter than a woman with a firearm…

It’s Past Time To Be “Presidential”

Well, now that the combined “star power” of Oprah, Michelle, and Barak Obama couldn’t (as usual) persuade a European anything (nation, president, leader, or Queen) to accede to his personality, and grant Chicago (and his cronies) the 2016 Olympics, perhaps he could decrease his Sasquatch- like carbon footprint and fly his A$$ home to attempt, for the first time ANYWHERE, to be “Presidential”.
I know it is a hard ask, considering he has so little experience doing anything other than campaigning- he has spent more time doing that than anything else. Now, there’s nothing else to do.
Chicago was eliminated in the first ballot of voting for the 2016 Olympics on Friday, a stunning defeat for the city that was expected to be one of the two finalists. Not even the presence of President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama — nor a long list of celebrities — was enough to help the United States’ third-largest city.
The race for the 2016 Olympics has come down to just Rio de Janeiro and Madrid; Tokyo was knocked out in the second round.
That left just Rio and Madrid still in the mix. The IOC voted again to separate the two and elect a winner, which will be announced by IOC president Jacques Rogge later Friday.

The smell of defeat, the smell of failure, the smell of impotence- of course you recognize that- it wafted from you during every meeting you have had with other world leaders, leaders who would barely give you the time of day, Mr. Resident- this is because they do not respect you- when the President of France scolds you, you cannot sink much lower, can you? Even someone as clueless as you must know this.

Even Michelle’s dragging her poor dead father into the mix didn’t sway the judges, who evidently thought little of this blatant attempt to play on their “compassion”.
His wife tugged at IOC members’ heart strings by discussing her late father, who had multiple sclerosis. She recounted sitting on his lap, watching Olympians such as Carl Lewis and Nadia Comaneci compete, and how her father “taught me how to throw a ball and a mean right hook.”
“My dad would have been so proud to witness these games in Chicago,” she said.

I didn’t think that it would- you can’t make a childish argument and expect to win, and since everyone with a rudimentary brainstem perceives the Resident as a very weak and naive person, they had no trouble ignoring his pleas, and indeed probably took a sly delight in telling an American President no, so sorry, you and your nation don’t qualify.
So, back to the grind, you know, the job you were elected to do- I know it is not as glamorous as the job of Messiah, but you , face it, do not have the chops for that position-
That position is way above your intellectual “grade”.

Pelosi Might Derail Health Care Bill

I have no love for Nancy Pelosi. She is a dim witted moron who comes from a nasty criminal political family from Baltimore. However, she might be the saving grace when it comes to the health care takeover because she might end up derailing the bill.
The health care debate is contentious and this is evident by the fact that it has not passed despite the Democrat’s control of the government. They need absolutely no Republican support and can pass it (well, that was the case before Ted Kennedy took up sobriety and Robert Byrd changed his residence to a hospital) but they cannot pass it.
This is because there are about 49 Democrats who were elected to the House in Districts that John McCain won. These Democrats realize that they are in the hot seat and that they could easily lose their jobs if they follow their liberal leaders. The so called Blue Dog Democrats in the House oppose any bill that increases taxes, adds to the deficit or contains a public option (which will lead to single payer). The liberals in the House are in safe seats (or at least they think they are) and they do not want anything less than a very loaded bill with the public option. They want massive government involvement. The Blue Dogs will not vote for a bill with the things they do not like and the liberals will not vote for one without them.
[note]The entire process has been nothing more than Chicago thug politics from the start. Obama has been making deals to get support. He sold out seniors to the AARP so they could make money off the elderly when they lose their Medicare Advantage. AARP stands to make a lot of money at the expense of its members. It is time for seniors to leave that group. Big Pharma and the doctors have had a few shady deals as well. If this was such a good idea Obama would not need to be making drug deals to get support.[/note]
Supposedly, a compromise bill has been introduced that placates the Blue Dogs and is designed to get their support. This would seem to do the trick except that Pelosi, is Speaker (or weeper) of the House and she is one of the liberals who wants vast government control. Pelosi intends to add the things that the Blue Dogs oppose.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is planning to include in the bill a tax on wealthy Americans, as well as a more robust government-run health insurance plan (or “public option”), abandoning the compromises leaders in a key committee worked out with the moderate Blue Dog Democrats, according to Roll Call. If Pelosi adds these things to the bill she will lose the votes of the Blue Dogs (assuming they know what has been added). Pelosi is bound and determined to have a bill that has what she and her liberals want in it and if she does this the bill could end up being rejected.
This would be sweet. The bill would go down in flames and there would be little time to do anything before they go home for the year. Pelosi could become a one woman wrecking crew and derail Obama’s signature promise. If that is the case, she would be owed a debt of gratitude from the people of America.
The thing is, we need to remain vigilant because they have ways of sneaking things into bills without anyone knowing. They have also shown they do not read the bills before the vote on them so it is possible she could back door her additions.
All members of Congress need to be aware of this and the story from CBS is the clarion call. Pelosi is trying to thwart what you are working on. She wants it her way or no way so it is up to you to make it no way. The American voters will hold you accountable for this bill if you vote for it to begin with but if you vote for the bill that Pelosi wants you will have targets on your backs when it comes to the next election.
Saying you did not know it was in the bill will NOT excuse you, Ignorance will not be tolerated so you better wise up.
There are enough Democratic House seats held by people whose Districts voted for McCain to change the balance of power. Pelosi might win reelection but find she is no longer in the majority and thus, no longer Speaker.
She would have only herself to blame and that is fine with me.
Wake up America and say no to this health care takeover. There are things that need to be fixed but this is not the solution.
