Obamacare Bait And Switch

If you like your health insurance you can keep it, period. These were the words of Barack Hussein Obama and those words were repeated time and again as the snake oil salesman pushed the passage of the (UN)Affordable Care Act, aka, Obamacare. Obama assured people that they could not only keep their plans but their doctors as well.

Now, as Obamacare stumbles out of the gate millions of people are losing their health insurance coverage. People, who like their plans, are being told their plans will be cancelled because they do not meet the minimum standards of Obamacare. Those grandfathered in are dropping like flies because the HHS wrote rules to ensure folks grandfathered would eventually lose their plans as well.

Barack Obama and his regime all knew years ago that millions of people would lose their insurance and be forced to go without or to sign up under the Obamacare exchanges. THEY KNEW IT. Even so, Obama was out telling people they would not lose their plans.

Now there are cracks in the wall of Obamacare as people are being cancelled because they don’t have plans deemed acceptable to Obama. The original you can keep it if you like it mantra contained no caveats about plans not meeting a standard. Obama simply stated that if you like it you can keep it.

Now the regime is throttling back on some of that rhetoric and claiming that MOST people will keep their insurance. Jay Carney, the Obama spokes puppet admitted that some folks will not be able to keep their insurance.

The regime is saying that people will get better insurance or that what they had was inadequate. My question is according to whom? The government is claiming that these plans are not adequate for those who have them but the people chose them and decided that those plans were what they wanted and were adequate for their needs.

It all boils down to; who is better qualified to decide what is adequate, you or the government? How can government decide what is best for individuals? People know their own situations, their own health and their own needs as well as their ability to pay. People should make their own decisions when it comes to what they purchase.

Government no more belongs deciding what is adequate for a family with regard to health insurance than it does deciding how many children a family should have, what size house it should live in or what kind of car it drives.

These are personal choices and should be left up to the individual.

Those choices should also include NOT buying health insurance. My only condition is if one chooses not to have health insurance than that person is responsible for the bills generated for health care received. How they pay for it is their business so long as they pay for it.

Other than that the choice is theirs and theirs alone.

As an aside, that is my position on having children. Have as many as you want as long as YOU pay for them.

We should be as free with our health care decisions as women are with decisions affecting their bodies and government should give our choices as much weight.[/note]

Unfortunately we live in a society where personal freedoms are being eroded each and every day. The government intrudes in our lives more and more and each time there is an intrusion freedom slips further away.

I am capable of running my own budget, deciding what kind of car to drive, whether I need health insurance or not and what kind I need if I choose to have it. I do not need the government to interfere with those things. Neither do most people.

Look at how members of Congress and the rest of the elected government live their lives and then ask yourself if these are really the folks to be deciding what is best in your life.

Barack Obama and his regime knew all along that people would lose their health insurance and yet they kept telling us if we liked it we could keep it.

They lied to us and it is up to us to take them to task for that.

Those who fail to fight for their freedom deserve the weight of the chains that will hold them in bondage.

The Federal Government has shut down 17% of its operations and one would think the end of the world is near. The petulant child in the White House has been giving directives to departments to make the shutdown as painful as possible for the public. The Democrats have expressed that they “are winning” so they do not care how long it lasts. I have addressed that attitude before but suffice it to say they care not a bit about this country or the people in it. Obama has refused to negotiate and Harry Reid is making demands that he will not bend on.

They are out of control.

Certainly some things will shut down when the government is closed (or partly closed) but this government has shut down things that do not need to be shut down and it has done so for the sole reason of hurting people.

The government shut down a road that runs through federal property which caused school buses to stop taking kids to school. Buses are unable to use the alternate road so parents are forced to take their children to school. Government does not man the road but it decided to shut it down to make things tough.

Government has removed people from their own homes because those homes are located on federal property. People were forced by gun toting jack booted thugs of the government to leave their homes. Government does not pay for or maintain the homes but the owners had no choice.

Government shut down open air monuments and memorials that are never manned and cost nothing to visit. They barred veterans of WWII from visiting the open air WWII Memorial just to cause harm.

The government forced a bunch of old people on a bus trip to get back in a bus that was touring Yosemite after they stopped to take pictures. The people were allowed to go to their hotel rooms and were forced to stay in those rooms for a few days (they were NOT allowed out) as armed officers kept them under house arrest. They were then placed back on the bus and allowed to leave They were not permitted to stop at a rest place, usually frequented on those tours, to use the restrooms. Nothing they did cost the government money and they paid for the trip. This was done to hurt people.

People using campgrounds on federal property were forced to leave even though they paid to use the facilities, their presence does not cost the government and their money results in revenue to the Treasury. This was done to hurt people.

The stories go on and on and they all involve the government deliberately doing something that harms people. They claim it is because of the shutdown but the actions they are taking involve things that are not affected by the shutdown. This is all out of Rules for Radicals and it is all on the orders of Obama.

He told people to make it as unpleasant as possible.

Hell, Obama had the military commissaries shutdown even though 98% of their funds come from user fees. His regime did not pay death benefits to the families of warriors who died after 1 October just to use these grieving families as pawns.

[note]Polls say that Republicans are getting hammered the most on this. In the short term that will hold but in the long term they will come out on top. Funny thing these people. They put Republicans in office to stop Obamacare and then blame them when they work to do it. I also find the politicians attacking Cruz and Lee detestable. These people ran promising to do what Cruz and Lee are doing and when they had the chance balked. They will pay in 2014.[/note]

What does any of this have to do with Obamacare?

Let us suppose that Obamacare was fully implemented and money was flowing all over paying for procedures and people were getting health care. Now this is fantasy because it will not run well but that does not matter. Just suppose it is up and running.

Do you for one second think that the petulant child in the White House would not use Obamacare to hurt people and make the shutdown even more painful?

He could simply say that all health care facilities are closed because the government is shut down and these facilities fall under a federal law and are getting federal money. Medicare is on autopilot so they really would have a hard time doing it with that but with Obamacare they could easily inflame the country and point fingers at the mean old GOP by shutting down facilities.

If anyone reading this thinks that Obama would not do just that then you would be a moron. He would do it in a New York City second.

Look at how many things he closed down that were never closed in other shutdowns. Look at how many things he closed that government has nothing to do with. The stated goal was to make it hurt and he could do that by shutting health facilities.

So those of you screaming that Obamacare is wonderful and should be left alone keep that in mind when it is used against you someday.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if a Republican president had a shutdown someday because Democrats would not agree to a budget and that president took a page from the Alinsky playbook that Obama uses and shut down the health clinics? None of you liberal morons would have grounds to say a thing because you are allowing Obama to do the very same thing right now.

The Democrats shut down the government. They refused to negotiate and they are holding America hostage. They are holding a gun to our heads.

[note]If you are in the minority of Americans not already unalterably opposed to Obamacare, keep in mind that the only reason the government is shut down right now is that Democrats refuse to fund the government if they are required to live under Obamacare.

Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and all the others are radical terrorists who are out to destroy this country. They all belong in Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists.

As an aside, those of you who hate George Bush keep this in mind. There was not one day of government shutdown when he was in office.

One last thing. Why do liberals always scream that Social Security checks won’t go out and the military won’t get paid. We know SS is on autopilot and that the military will eventually get paid but the liberals like to use fear to make seniors, those who have been enslaved under Social Security, fearful of not getting a check.

If you are worried about your money and have no other means then perhaps you should learn to vote better. And buy lots of cat food.

One thing I never hear is that welfare checks might not go out. Liberals place a higher value on crack whores and welfare queens getting their checks than they do the seniors who paid in and the military who protect this nation.

Really not bright to threaten not to pay the people with all the tanks, jets, helicopters comprised of the finest fighting forces in the world. They can point their weapons in any direction and are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, not politicians.

And that would be against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC.

Obama and his henchmen are domestic enemies.

Obamacare Fails To launch

Today is the day all socialists have longed for. Their signature legislation is open for public consumption and they could not be happier because they will dig their nails deeper into the skin of the American people and further enslave them to government. Once government is able to put millions of people on the Obamacare plantation they should be able to count of Democrat votes for years to come as the takers vote to take even more.

But like Obama, his roll out is a failure. Obamacare exchange websites are failing all over the place. People are unable to log on and create their accounts. The thing does not work even though they have had three years to get it up and running and yet it does not.

This is par for the course when government is involved. Billions of dollars have been spent and it is not ready for prime time.

Barack Obama said to expect glitches for a few months. Really? Is that the best we can do?

Republicans pushed for a delay and Democrats said no. The left wanted to shut down the government all along as they feel it will strengthen their chances in the 2014 election.

They do not care about anyone and it shows. A delay would have helped get things in order. Then again, if they could not get it right in three years what makes anyone think another year would have made it better?

Keep in mind that Democrats refused to be a part of this. They have been given an exemption from the part of the law that applies to Congress and they are happy.

Harry Reid said being involved was punishment.

The failure of the exchanges is proof he was right.

And folks, if you think that the roll out is full of problems and delays wait until you need to see a doctor.

Obamacare Is The Law

This is the mantra we have heard from the left, a left that is employing all the Rules for Radicals in an effort to demonize people opposed to government intrusion into our lives. Liberals have called Tea Party members tea baggers, terrorists, radicals and anarchists in an effort to paint them as a fringe that must be ignored.

The true terrorists are the members of the government who impose things on us designed to take away or freedoms.

We have heard the left tell us that Obamacare is the law as if this means that it cannot be stopped or overturned. We have heard the brain damaged Harry Reid tell us that the opposition comes from people who can’t come to terms with the fact that Obamacare is the law and that the Supreme Court upheld it.

It is the law is NOT a valid reason to oppose an item or to work to have it changed. The left would have you believe that because this is the law that is the end of the story and nothing can or should be done to change it, period. We made a law and you have to follow it and since it is a law you have to follow it and it cannot be changed or revoked.

Really?

Slavery was once the law of the land. Separate but equal (Jim Crow laws) was once the law of the land.

These were all changed. The funny thing is that when people were working to change them Democrats acted as if they could not be changed because they were the law.

If we applied the same logic then that liberals like Reid are employing now then Obama would be a slave someplace or he would be required to eat at a different lunch counter.

These laws were all changed so for Reid to indicate that Obamacare is the law and that is that is disingenuous at best.

But let us look at something in the here and now.

Along with the Continuing Resolution the Congress must address the debt ceiling. The US has hit the statutory limit of how much it is allowed to spend. The claim is we will hit it in October but we already hit it and they are using gimmicks to keep us afloat.

BUT, the debt ceiling is a law. So, we can now tell Harry Reid and his sock puppets that the debt ceiling is the law and can’t be changed. We will be using their words against them and that will be a valid reason NOT to raise the limit.

If they want to claim that we can’t change something because it is the law then we need to hold firm on the debt ceiling because it is the law.

Ball is in your court Harry. I expect you will fetch it and take it to Obama while you sit at his feet but it is your ball nonetheless.

This week will be full of back and forth fighting over Obamacare and the budget. Conservatives are trying to defund Obamacare while providing funds for all the rest of the government but Barack Obama and his henchmen in the Senate are holding the country hostage over the failed legislation. Those of us affected by it are in the dark…

A huge majority of Americans does not want Obamacare and they want to be left out of it. Obama and the Democrats (as well as obedient establishment Republicans) are ignoring the will of the people and threatening to shut down the federal government if they do not get their way.

These people want to ignore the majority of Americans on this issue and impose this on them against their will.

Interestingly, Democrats think we should follow the majority opinion when it involves something they want. They falsely claim that a majority of Americans want the gun control they are pushing (this is untrue) and use that alleged support as a reason to impose unconstitutional restrictions upon us.

When the majority actually does favor something (like getting rid of Obamacare) they ignore the will of the people.

Obamacare is a failure, period. More than half of the lawful deadlines have been missed and Barack Obama has illegally changed the law to benefit businesses and his buddies (the Executive cannot change a law unless there are provisions for the changes in the law, otherwise, only the Legislative can change the law).

Obamacare is so great that Obama has exempted a great number of organizations who do not like it (most of whom supported it). The law has even been changed in order to keep Congress and Congressional staffers from participating.

The law they passed is good enough for YOU but not for them. Democrats are fighting attempts to ensure the law is followed and that Congress is not exempted and they are receiving help from Republicans who do not want it either. I do not blame Republicans for not wanting it because none of them voted for it. However, the law is the law and if it passed and must be followed by the rest of us then they should not be exempt.

I feel sorry for the millionaires in Congress who can’t afford health insurance on over $170,000 per year but they are just going to have, to quote Obama, to eat their peas.

Efforts to ensure Congress must follow the law are also aimed at Chief Justice John Roberts. People want him to have to be in Obamacare since he ruled it Constitutional (actually he changed the law by rewriting it which is not the job of the Legislative Branch).

It appears as if the people who work for us are having trouble doing the jobs they are authorized to by the Constitution and are too busy involving themselves in things they do not belong in.

The Republicans can defund this. If the Senate will not get on board then the House should send single bills to fund other parts of government. The first one should be for Defense to ensure the soldiers get paid (Social Security is on autopilot so people will get their checks). Let the Senate vote that up or down.

Then the House can do that with each other part of government covered in the entire budget. They can make it so nothing can be added to it because it will be a single budget item.

Let Democrats vote each item of the government up or down and hold them accountable.

If Obama vetoes any item then hold him accountable.

These folks are playing games and we are the collateral damage of their petulance.

I know that the brain dead witch Pelosi said there was nothing else to cut from the budget but if they hire me, give me the budget and two months I will have cuts for them.

And since I am not in elected office I can’t be swayed by the desire to get reelected…
