2008 Financial Economic Meltdown Had Help
Mar 2, 2011 Political
There is no doubt that the careless spending and wasteful government helped push us into an economic crisis. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were in way over their heads while politicians continued to push policies that allowed people with no money to buy homes. This and our ever expanding government led us into the abyss. I posted in the past that I believed that there were other forces involved in this and that big money entities were manipulating the markets.
I believe that this was done in order to bolster Barack Obama who was in a statistical dead heat with McCain. My suspicion is that it was George Soros who has collapsed the monetary systems of several countries and who has suggested that something similar needs to happen in America. I think Soros did it to hasten the collapse he wants and to help put Obama in the White House.
A recent report or should I say recently released report (because it has been around since 2009) from the Pentagon says that evidence suggests that there was financial subversion that helped cause the economic collapse in 2008.
Evidence outlined in a Pentagon contractor report suggests that financial subversion carried out by unknown parties, such as terrorists or hostile nations, contributed to the 2008 economic crash by covertly using vulnerabilities in the U.S. financial system. Washington Times
The report’s authors speculate that perhaps organized crime groups in China, Russia or or other places were to blame (as if their governments are not organized crime groups). Perhaps this is correct but I think Soros had his hand in the mix.
He wants to collapse the American system and he wanted a person in the White House who holds the same view of America.
He got one and is working on the other…
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

9-11-2001; A Day To Remember
Sep 11, 2009 Political
Eight years ago radical Muslims attacked the US killing nearly 3000 people. The aftermath led to the illness of thousands more as they breathed in hazardous substances while working in the rescue effort. Eight years ago today the world was forever changed and the lives of millions were affected when they learned that loved ones they sent off to work were never coming home. Many of us also lost friends that day. My comrade in arms, Bill Ruth, was killed at the Pentagon.
Today there will be remembrances all across the country as we honor those who were killed in that cowardly attack. As with all significant, and usually tragic, historical events people will think back to what they were doing on that quiet day eight years ago.
It is important to remember and to pay tribute to those who made a difference that day. If it had not been for the brave people aboard Flight 93 the Capitol or White House might have been hit as well.
We came together as a nation that terrible day and we were one voice for some time after but as time moved on we once again became a nation divided. It is a shame that this wake up call was only a brief interruption for some who still want to live with a 9/10 mindset but as a great and free nation, our citizens are afforded that luxury.
As for me, I will never forget where I was, what I was doing, the horrific images and the heroic actions of that day and the days that followed.
As a nation we must work to ensure that something like this will NEVER AGAIN happen.
May God have mercy on those who were killed that day and those whose lives have been shortened because of that day and May God bless the United States of America.

Ban On Photgraphing Returning War Dead Lifted
Feb 26, 2009 Political
Since the early 90s there has been a ban in place to prevent news organizations from photographing the Flag draped caskets of our war dead. While critics claim that the ban was designed to hide the cost of war in human lives the ban was actually designed to allow families time to receive their loved ones and to grieve privately. Admittedly, not every hero’s family goes to Dover (the Air Force Base where remains are received) but the time is a solemn one and should be devoid of photographers who are trying to exploit the pain of others. Today, that ban was lifted.
The new rule allows photographing but only if the families agree. I don’t imagine there will be too many who say yes but some might. I was perfectly happy with the rule that was in place because the war dead should be brought home in peace and with honor and dignity. A hoard of photographers removes the dignity and disturbs the peace. To those who say that the ban hides the war dead I say that is untrue. The MSM routinely reported the number of dead when George Bush was in office. There were nightly body counts on every major network. I know that the graduates of public school need pictures to understand but I think that the numbers being reported gave a good enough report as to the number of dead.
I don’t really see this as an issue. The Commander can restrict access to his Air Base so all he has to do is deny the reporters and photographers entry. They might sit outside the base with telephoto lenses but the last time I was at Dover Air Base (a few months ago) I think I saw signs that said photographing the base was forbidden. The Commander can also say where photos may be taken so he can put the whole area off limits to cameras. Any photographer who is outside snapping shots could then be detained and the photos confiscated.
That would solve the problem. Of course the Obama Administration and Congress can change the rules or take authority away from the Commander but then they would be inviting a mess. They would also be inviting people who would love to target a military base to take surveillance pictures.
If there is all this openness then we should try an experiment. Ted Kennedy’s days are numbered. He has terminal cancer and he will not be with us much longer. When he dies there will be a big ceremony and his body will lie in state. I say we should get a bunch of photographers to go to the place where he dies and start snapping pictures of him and everyone around him. Then they can follow his body to the funeral home and snap photos there as he enters and as he is prepared. Then a large crowd of photographers can invade the Capitol and start snapping pictures of him lying in state.
Then maybe the next time there is a disaster we can have photographers show up and take pictures of all the dead. The bodies would have to be all lined up and together just like the heroes are when they arrive on the plane. Photographers could then go around and snap photos, but only if the families say it is OK.
Let us see how long that would be allowed.
Maybe we can get Congress and Obama to pile up a trillion dollars and let people take pictures of it so the public can get an idea of how much money is being wasted.

Democrats Cut Defense But Want Billions In Pork
Jan 31, 2009 Political
The Democrats led by Barack Obama are pushing a so called stimulus package in order to help the ailing economy. The stated purpose of the package is to create jobs and get the economy moving but nearly half of the money being spent will not create jobs and it will not stimulate the economy. It amounts to nothing more than a 314 BILLION dollar payoff to constituencies.
While the Democrats are paying back their friends and supporters with money that we must borrow and that will not fix the problem, they are telling the Pentagon to cut its budget by 11%. The Pentagon is being directed to cut its budget by 55 BILLION dollars while Congress is trying to spend nearly six times that amount on social welfare and other non stimulating items. Democrats are cutting the defense budget while the country is at war and at the same time spending money to combat sexually transmitted diseases all in the name of the economy and job creation. Here is what the Democrats will spend money on while cutting defense:
- $83 billion in welfare payments (the earned income credit for people who don’t pay income tax)
- $81 billion for Medicaid
- $66 billion on “education”, more than the entire Department of Education required just ten years ago
- $36 billion for expanded unemployment benefits
- $20 billion for food stamps
- $8 billion on “renewable energy” projects, which have a low or negative return
- $7 billion for “modernizing federal buildings and facilities”
- $6 billion on urban transit systems, dominated by unions and which, almost universally, lose money
- $2.4 billion for “carbon-capture demonstration projects”
- $2 billion for child-care subsidies
- $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that’s run in the red for 40 years
- $650 million for “digital TV conversion coupons” (on top of billions already spent)
- $600 million on new cars for government (added to the $3 billion already spent each year)
- $400 million for “global-warming research”
- $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
Notice that many of these items will not create jobs and they will certainly not stimulate the economy. These items are getting money at a time when the Pentagon is being told to cut its budget.
We have seen what happens when the Pentagon is forced to make drastic cuts. We had Carter and Clinton who wrecked the military and decreased spending. Now we have Obama who is hell bent on destroying the military and our country right along with it.
We also have word that they will be cutting new weapon systems. Carl Levin had this to say about the situation:
“We don’t want to reduce personnel; we don’t want to shortchange personnel” amid a war, he said. “So we’ve got to look to the future and make savings there. There’s the fact of life.”
Levin declined to name specific weapons that are likely to be on the chopping block. Prairie Pundit
They don’t want to cut the people, just the new equipment that the people use to win wars and stay alive. They don’t want to shortchange personnel they just want to shortchange what the personnel have to do their jobs.
I don’t know why anyone would stay in the service in this environment.
I do know that there will be losses of personnel and there will be more deaths and future attacks on our country because the slobbering idiots in the Democratic party would rather cut defense than any precious welfare program. They want to spend 83 BILLION dollars on welfare while cutting 55 BILLION from defense.
Here is an idea. Take the people on welfare and put them in the military and ship them off to war. Then take the money you save and put it in the defense budget.
Isn’t it amazing that Obama will cut the military and weaken the defense of this country in order to save money and to keep from having to cut welfare? He will also cut the new weapon systems our troops need to protect themselves.
He did not spare any expense in having that nice new Caddy built with all the gee whiz protection.
Barack Obama has also sent 20 MILLION dollars to Hamas as so called “emergency relief.” Anyone with a brain knows that the money will never make it to the people. Hamas will keep it to buy weapons and to ensure the leadership is taken care of. This dimwit we have as a president will send 20 million dollars to a terror group while cutting the defense budget.
Who would be a friend to the terrorists and an enemy to his troops?
First Carter and then Clinton.
Et tu Barack?

Hillary Does not Understand the Military
Apr 13, 2008 Political
Once again the Socialist part of Hillary Clinton has reared its ugly head. Clinton was speaking at a transmission plant in Indianapolis when she started discussing Pentagon contracts. Ms. Clinton told the workers that the Pentagon would have to look at how a contract affected jobs in America during the award process. Hillary must have missed my article about the Pentagon NOT being a social welfare department.
Speaking at a plant here that builds transmissions for military vehicles, Clinton said she would limit the Defense Department’s ability to buy foreign-made products, in part by making the agency consider the impact on U.S. jobs when it awards contracts. WBAL
Clinton is obviously pandering to people working on a defense project. She is trying to portray problems as a failure of the Bush administration (she used those words) and that she would ensure Americans had work because she would make the Pentagon look at the impact on American workers. This is typical of liberals because they never expect people to have to produce quality in order to be rewarded. I am sure these workers do the best job they can and are proud to be working on items for our troops and I am sure they would not want troops saddled with substandard items just to appease politicians or to ensure jobs.
The Pentagon should not have to look at how jobs are affected. The goal of the Pentagon is to procure the best equipment for our troops regardless of who makes it (short of enemy or potential enemy countries). If American companies want to win contracts then they need to put forth a proposal that shows why they are the best for the job. They need to make superior products for a reasonable cost in order to win. The Pentagon certainly does not select companies because they are the cheapest or the worst so if American companies are not winning it is because their product does not match up, plain and simple.
Once again we have a Clinton using the military as a social program. In this case it is to provide jobs and in her husband’s case it was to make homosexuality socially acceptable by allowing gays to openly serve. The Pentagon is not the social welfare department and exists to make sure we have the best equipment and best troops to defend this nation. Besides, the Pentagon provides a great number of jobs already. People can enlist in any of the branches of the service and they will have a great job.
The Pentagon does not need Clinton or anyone else playing politics with the procurement process. This in and of itself shows why she is not fit to be the President.
Clinton also addressed the issue of security and ensuring our technologies are not sold off to other countries. I wonder why nothing like this was in place when her husband sold missile technology to the Chinese in exchange for donations. Somehow I don’t think the Pentagon is what we need to worry about with regard to security. Seems to me that the Clintons are a security risk in and of themselves.
Hillary has run an abysmal campaign. She has tried to be everything to everyone. She might have had a better chance if she actually took stands and stuck with them (and did not lie) but now she is toast and she is only hanging on because she is delusional (not that I mind them continuing to ruin the party). These recent remarks clearly demonstrate another reason Hillary Clinton should never run this country.
