Woolsey Gets A Slap In The Face

Democratic Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey gave Cindy Sheehan a ticket to the State of the union Address last night. In statements yesterday, Sheehan said she would sit there quietly because she was the invited guest of a member of Congress. I guess you can say she kept her word because she was quiet. Unfortunately, she unveiled an anti-war T-shirt when she got to her seat. Sheehan evidently kept it covered until she was well inside and then unveiled the masterpiece. She was informed by the police that such displays were not allowed. Evidently she did not respond to the warning (by say, covering it up like when she entered) so she was removed.

Sheehan was arrested and charged. She got to spend the entire speech being processed at the police station. Two questions come to mind. What was Woolsey thinking and how does she feel about it today? She gave Sheehan a once in a lifetime opportunity and Sheehan basically disgraced her host. One would think that Woolsey could have seen this coming. Is this woman so dense that she could not figure Sheehan was going to try and be disruptive? Did Woolsey inform Sheehan of the proper protocol and did she get any assurances from Sheehan that there would be no disruptive behavior?

Woolsey should be ashamed this morning and I imagine that sometime today there will be a statement from her office telling us how terrible it all was. She will either apologize for her stupidity or praise Sheehan for being such a strong anti-war protester. I am banking on the latter.

Michelle Malkin wrote about liberals coming Unhinged. Sheehan is another shining example. How else could you explain a person who would blow a once in a lifetime chance so that she could spend the evening in jail?

    Being a resident of the United Soviet Socialist Republic of California I am not suprised that one of our representatives took that opportunistic bitch to the speech, it just makes me mad that someone can’t take her out of office for supporting someone like that. It’s a shame, it really is.

    Yes, it is a shame we have to have these moonbats in office. We can not get rid of them. They are like ahtelete’s foot, they don’t go away and they irritate the hell out of you.
