Why Not Release The Photos?

There are photos that show Osama bin Laden dead with his brains all over the place and people want to see them. Some folks don’t but most do whether it is to gain closure or to satisfy some need to see the gruesome pictures. No matter the reason, people will not be able to see the pictures, or will they? More on that later.

Barack Obama has given a number of reasons for deciding not to release the pictures of Bin Laden. He said that it would incite more violence against us and offend some Muslims. He said that people who believe in conspiracy theories would not believe it anyway. And he also said that America does not “spike the football.”

Let us look at these items.

The pictures might incite violence but no more than has already been vowed by the terrorists who followed Bin Laden. They have already confirmed OBL was killed and have vowed to kill Americans in retaliation. Releasing the photos would make no difference whatsoever. It is a lame excuse but he needs the excuse nonetheless. More on that later.

The pictures could offend Muslims? Maybe but isn’t this the same guy who has to be persuaded NOT to release photos of American soldiers allegedly abusing Muslim terrorist prisoners? Obama had to be convinced NOT to release such photos. He was set on doing so even though he knew that it could lead to more violence against our troops and that it could upset Muslims. He was not concerned with all this when our troops were the issue but is now somehow concerned that it might offend Muslims if we release these photos?

People who believe in conspiracy theories have been of no concern to Obama in the past. Van Jones is a 9/11 Truther and Obama had him on board. Since conspiracy theory folks make up a small portion of the population this is a lame reason not to release photos (that it would not convince some anyway).

Obama said that we do not spike the football. Really? Perhaps he does not want to spike it in front of the Muslim world but he and his people are spiking it politically. Why else would he have a very public celebration at Fort Campbell? He could have had a quiet ceremony but he is, shall we say, spiking the football. His mouthpieces have made it clear that this was all Obama who did something Bush failed to do. That is spiking the ball (as is saying “I won” as he did in the past). So the excuse is lame but he needs one for a reason.

And now to that.

Obama is delaying the release of the photos for a reason. Notice I said delaying. Because he will release them when it is politically advantageous for him to do so. None of the excuses that have been given will mean anything when Obama feels he needs political points and my thought is that sometime around October 2012 Obama will release the photos. He will make a big deal of how he was able to get OBL (as if he actually did anything more than say “go”). He will release the photos with some excuse about the time being right or some other blather but they will be released for one thing only:

To provide Obama a political bump prior to the 2012 election.

Keep this in mind when those photos are released. I also ask that you liberals who are either against releasing the photos or who agree with Obama to remember your position and not change it when your messiah does.

Because he will. Obama cares about one thing and one thing only, and that is power. He cares about being in charge and about ramming the Socialist agenda through so he can get his way and make America into what he wants.

And if he has to delay releasing the photos until the 2012 election then he will.

Remember, his birth certificate** was released only after he was taking a beating by Donald Trump.

And those photos will be released but only when they will help Obama.
