We Will Remember In November

Congress got the chance to vote last night and the Democrats went against the will of the people to pass a bill that most do not want. The need for reform exists but people do not want this bill as the reform because it is intrusive and contains at least one unconstitutional provision.
Democrats ignored their constituents and voted with the party to takeover and control our lives. The bill is bad which is why the Democrats are in damage control mode. The bill is bad which is why they had to bribe their own members. The bill is bad which is why most Americans oppose it.
But they voted for it anyway. OK, Democrats in Congress got their chance to vote last night and we will get our chance in November. We will make them pay, and pay dearly, for ignoring our will and imposing theirs. They know they are in trouble and only hope that they have enough time to change people’s minds. They will also push for the rest of their agenda (amnesty, cap and trade, etc.) to keep us occupied and to make us forget what they did.
They will not be successful. When election day gets here they will pay with their jobs. We will not forget what they did. We will not forget the process and the way they ignored our Republican form of government to play dictator. We will not forget.
Those in safe districts likely have little to worry about but they will be in the minority when the election rolls around. Nancy Pelosi will be relegated to the minority. If they are smart they will give her a job cleaning latrines. That is where she belongs.
Meanwhile, people will hold Barack Obama accountable. He said on at least twenty occasions that he will reduce premiums by about $2500. He had better come through on that or he will be bounced on his progressive ass in 2012. He is likely a one term occupant anyway but Bill Clinton was able to wrangle a second term. Obama, with a Republican majority, might be able to do the same. We have had enough of this communist and we need to get rid of him after one term before he does even more damage.
It might be worthwhile for conservatives to sell all stock in companies who supported this mess.
We lost a battle yesterday but we have not lost the war. We need to get into our full battle rattle and take back our country.
We can start in November by making every one of them pay for what they did.

My thanks goes to President Bush and his wonderful GOP cronies in Congress (the 109th to be exact) that made possible the 2006 and 2008 victories and turned decent health care reform from a pipe dream into a reality. I would have voted for Bush myself in 2004 had I known his cluster**** of a presidency would somehow lead to such an important victory for progressives in America just a few years down the road.
The Democrats may or may not lose big in November but politics is a pendulum and it’s certainly not swinging their direction any more. Either way they can go out knowing they accomplished a massive and important piece of their agenda. I just wish Ted Kennedy was still around to see it.
I am glad Kennedy is dead and I only regret that he did not die instead of Mary Jo.
Now if the rest can follow him and Murtha to hell I would be grateful.
This will not stand. Lots of time to end it.
Besides, I do not plan to follow it in any event. I will do what I want and still see whatever doctor I want and get any care I want.
Besides, it might end up being thrown out as unconstitutional and then you can suck your thumb some more.

The real funny thing would be if all the people who voted for Obama to get this health care all died before it took place. It would be as funny as Kennedy not being alive to see it happen.

Not even close. They’re in celebration mode (I just gave a lecture before 75 democrats today so I know a bit about this).
On ABC on Sunday, Karl Rove (“The architect of disaster”) was specifically asked if passing this bill would be good for the Demo’s. He didn’t answer and that wasn’t by accident. He knew the answer and the answer is a profound plus for the Demos regardless of what you think of the bill.
Perhaps you should have David Frum, GW Bush’s speechwriter, explain it to you:

If the Demo’s had failed in their endeavor you might have been right. Since they successfully passed this historic legislation, a tremendous success, you aren’t right. “This is what change looks like.”

For republicans, this isn’t about healthcare. It’s never been about heathcare. It’s about their extreme discomfort with the weak and poor in society not getting crapped on anymore. It’s about empowering the lower class so that they don’t have to live in fear and suffer and die in the wealthiest country in the world while the rich watch.

He’s talking about the Bigd types and the million Glen Beck ditto-head clones out there. And he’s talking about what will continue to happen as long as the republicans continue to be defined by the nuttiest, whacked out, clueless elements of their shrinking party.
When will they learn that their policies are immoral and unworkable for human society? When will they learn that their positions will continue to lead to:
Abject and irreversible defeat.

The politicians are in damage control mode. They know that now they have to sell this to the people in their districts who opposed it.
They will lose badly.

The bill might never be repealed but many sections of it could be removed.
Also, it might be struck down as unconstitutional.
Interesting legal issue. The parliamentarian will have to rule that the fix it bill is not allowed because of Social Security provisions in it. The LAW says reconciliation cannot be used for SS items. If he rules it is not valid then Biden can overrule him.
If he does then the rule of law will have been shattered. Tell me, if this happens will you support it?

I would have trouble supporting anything that seriously broke the law but up to now you’ve only provided wishful thinking and GOP talking points when it comes to the unconstitutionality of said health care reform bill.

Not the reform bill, the reconciliation bill. There are many items that are not budget and will be struck. There is the SS provision and it is illegal.

We will gain a lot of seats because of the radicals who disagree. Must mean that they did not like it. They should represent the people.

Looks like it. I guess the rules do not apply now but he is the guy who gets to make the call. If he decides not to follow the rules or interprets them differently than one expects then it is on him.
There are plenty of other challenges so we will see.
You have the right to your own opinion. But do not ever tell me what I do or do not think. No one speaks for me but myself and no one has ever asked if I was for or against the health care bill.
No one that I know never been asked by any officals either or by any one here. So dont say you speak for the people unless every person gave you permission to speak for them
