We Need A Flu To Close The Border?

I have been wondering what the open borders crowd is saying now that swine flu is affecting a few folks and it seems to be heavily concentrated in Mexico. You see, all the ILLEGALS who walk across our border could be sick with about any disease and no one would know. They did not have to prove they were healthy to get here, they just walked in. There were cases of TB being brought in and now there is a good possibility that any ILLEGAL showing up in the US will be carrying the swine flu and that it will be transmitted to Americans.

I am not saying that we should be all worried about the flu, not yet anyway, but this is a clear example of how ILLEGAL immigration can harm us.

We have been calling for the border to be closed for a long time. Ted Kennedy pushed for amnesty two times in the past and each time he promised that ILLEGAL immigration would stop and we would not need another amnesty. He was part of the crowd that tried to pass amnesty last year

Now, a Democrat from New York is calling for the border between Mexico and the US to be closed during the flu outbreak.

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) said the border should be closed until the threat is resolved.

“The public needs to be aware of the serious threat of swine flu, and we need to close our borders to Mexico immediately and completely until this is resolved,” Massa said in a statement.

“I am making this announcement because I see this as a serious threat to the health of the American public and I do not believe this issue is receiving the attention it needs to have in the news,” Massa said. The Hill

He is only half right. We need to close the border but we do not need to reopen it except at designated crossings where border patrol agents are stationed. We need to shut down the border NOW and we need to keep it shut down because swine flu is not the only thing ILLEGALS can bring into this country. They can bring in TB, AIDS, hepatitis, and any number of pathogens that can do us harm.

And yes, I know these diseases exist without the ILLEGALS but ILLEGALS live in the shadows which means they are less likely to be treated. This means more diseases being spread.

It should not take a flu outbreak to get our government to do its job and secure our borders.

What happened to our processes of the past, in which everyone who came to the USA had to be checked for sickness?
Our country is moving further away from morals and common sense, year after year.

For years now, the illegals have been using our hospitals as free clinics, bringing their babies over the border to hospitals and flooding our emergency rooms, for several reasons.
One, their health care consists of throwing the dead body on the pyre, and two, they can get away with getting the care here free, and its great care.
These aliens have come across with drug resistant TB, and leprosy- the two biggies, at least until now. Either one of the aforementioned diseases could morph into a pandemic, and drug resistant anything is not good.
I live in Texas, and while I have worked alongside these illegals for years. and I like them personally, I have advocated for a closed borders policy since the 80s.
I have often felt like the voice in the wilderness, because people want cheap homes, and they will stand for anything to get them. Well, you get what you pay for.
Will it seem like a bargain if the price is the life of your child, or that of your wife and/ or mother?

Case in point, this is even more alarming.
    And our government does nothing!!!

This is just another symptom of the open borders policy, and its potential effects on our population.
The U.S. government has ceased inoculating everybody for smallpox, because they arrogantly believe that we have eradicated it. Or perhaps they are waiting to see what new form it might take, such as weaponized smallpox, with DNA from, say, Ebola. This could feasibly be created and disseminated in this country, simply by getting it across the border at San Diego, and releasing it in the airport, or at a baseball game.
Now, our government used to play wargame sims on the computer- I hope they are taking into account the border, but with the ease that the swine flu got here, they don’t even have to release it in this country anymore.
The government seems to be doing so little you have to wonder- do they WANT this to happen?

The mainstream media wouldn’t do it. So we are trying to get your important messages to the American people. 18 This post is a suggested read at, http://aresay.blogspot.com/

A science fiction author once postulated that the decay in civilization actually began with the demise of clean restrooms in the rest stops along the road sides,
When my family went on vacations, we could pull into a service station for gas, and snacks, and a clean restroom. We would use the restroom, and then leave it as clean as we found it, because that is how we were taught. In addition, the service station personnel took pride in their place of work, and ensured that the rest rooms stayed clean.
Not so anymore- apathy rules, because of either bad manners, no self respect, or cultural differences in personal hygiene- take your pick.
But with more and more people crammed together in a finite space, it would be in our best interests that not only do we teach good hygiene, but insist that anyone who comes into our country be up to date on inoculations, and not be ill.
We can only do this with a secure border. Period. Any other option is ignorant, and should be ignored in favor of the only thing that will work, and that is vigorous border enforcement.
