I am certainly well aware of all this but I am also well aware of the hype this is getting. We have closed schools for one case of the flu and some places are killing pigs and you can't get H1N1 from eating properly cooked pork (if you live near pigs that is something else all together). There are far fewer sick people than well and the well cannot avoid traveling in confined spaces or the commerce of the country will come to a halt. Seems like a lot for fewer than 500 cases WORLD WIDE and fewer than 200 (as of yesterday) in the country. Keep in mind nearly all involved contact with someone who went to or came from Mexico. If Biden had said that he recommends that SICK people avoid traveling in confined spaces it would have made more sense. As a public health nurse you should know that H1N1 is no where near as problematic as the NORMAL flu we see in flu season. It is near pandemic in definition but it is not affecting the numbers that the flu did in the last season. No one wants to get it or any other flu but we cannot stop living our lives.
