War Protesters Are Violent

UC Santa Cruz students forced military recruiters off the campus with threats of violence. The recruiters, who are allowed to be there by law, left before things could escalate. The same group of protesters damaged recruiter vehicles last year and one person was injured. It is amazing that these people are against war and yet they use violence, or the threat of it, to get their way. The military was not worried about their own safety. They indicated they were worried that the police or some students might get hurt. That is probably because the soldiers would have kicked the snot out of those weenie liberals.

“The situation had degraded to the point where there was a possibility of injury to either a student or law enforcement officer. We certainly didn’t want that to happen,” said Capt. Will Griffin, one of the Army recruiters.

I bet if there was a recruiter there looking for illegal immigrants or NAMBLA was there recruiting they would have been welcomed with open arms. NAMBLA probably would have found some recruits there. Colleges that receive federal money from the TAXPAYER, something many of these kids are not, are required to allow recruiters on the campus. I would assume that means they have to ensure they are safe and allowed to complete their mission.

I think it is time to teach these punks that actions have consequences, like the illegals workers who skipped work to protest are finding out. The government needs to withdraw all federal funding. In addition, they need to seek out the protesters and if they have government grants or loans, they need to be immediately discontinued.

There are rules to get the money other people work hard for and they did not follow the rules. Those punks do not have to agree with the recruiters, the war, or military service. No one is forcing them to speak with a recruiter. They prevented people who might have wanted to discuss military service from doing so.

There will be some who say they need to protect the student’s right to free speech. They have that right and they have the right to peacefully assemble. When the protest escalated and there was a threat of violence the students lost their rights.
