Update for We Fail to Protect . . .

For the second time in as many days, I must update my post. Breaking news really keeps one hopping.

Apparently, the woman who “rescued” the Florida baby reportedly thrown from a car today was really the baby’s mother. She concocted the story as she did not want to keep the newborn. While her actions might seem extreme and probably indicate a disturbed mind, her desire to forfeit the infant to authorities was a noble one. So, I retract my “I don’t care what the mother’s sad story is.” It’s important to occasionally be humbled. It reminds us of our true place in the universe.

Having said that, I still stand by the premise of my post. It would be interesting to hear some feedback.
