Let me first apologize to our readers. Unfortunately, I must clean some house with this post. For those of you who read Big Dog’s “If You Can’t Take The Heat” post, I need your cooperation. It seems the blogger upon which the post centers simply will not leave us alone. Although she has not returned to this site to comment, she continues to send us nasty and threatening emails after being repeatedly asked to cease and desist.
Her latest missive threatens us/the blog regarding Big Dog’s suggestion that you may want to visit her site — and, if you do, to tell her he says “hi.” She claims it is harassment and demands that we remove from the post the link to her site. Since Big Dog is currently on a business trip and unavailable for immediate editorial action, I am posting this request in response. Although she referenced legal code in her e-mail, I believe it’s irrelevant as it cites code concerning sexual and other harassment in the workplace. For clarification, Melissa has never, nor will ever be employed by Big Dog’s Weblog. And, it seems irrelevant to her that both here and at Adam’s site, where the original exchange took place, she provided her blog’s link (URI). As far as I’m concerned, that’s an implied invitation to visit her site . . . but, I’m not a lawyer.
So, please do not go to the above post and link over to Melissa’s site because anyone at Big Dog’s asked you to do it. If you go on your own, please do not tell her we said “hi.” It simply isn’t worth it. If she had just been patient and not forced us to take this action, the offending post would have been bumped from the page with the next piece — which is now this post. Be careful of what you ask for . . . .
