I’m having my coffee, looking out my window at the freest, most peaceful country on Earth, wondering how someone, anyone could think about changing our form of government in such a wholesale fashion. I find it hard to believe that people would have the hate for what has, regardless of who you are, been the best country ever. Oh, not that there are not things that can be done better, but at least we try- which is more than can be said for others.
Listen, if you seriously believe another country is a better fit for you, I strongly encourage you to go- just go, and don’t let the doorknob hit you in the ass on the way out. Our forefathers thought long and hard about the best form of representative government they could think of, and came up with our Republic.
That is right, this is a Republic, not exactly a democracy in the truest sense of the word- we elect representatives to do the will of the people, and be our voice in Congress. Well, they are going off of the reservation, and in some cases, they are openly saying they will oppose the will of the people because they believe they know best. What ignorant arrogance.
Our form of government has lasted 233 years, more than any other.
Communism lasted 75 years.
Fascism lasts an average of 15 years.
Socialism has never worked- even as a “government within a government”, as is the case in The United Kingdom, or Canada.
People who want to change our form of government are traitors, plain and simple. They know they are traitors, but they were elected or appointed under a deceptive agenda, wonderfully vague and simplistic. “Change and Hope”- ooooh- that almost makes a thrill go up my leg, except I have a BS meter, and the needle has pegged out in the red.
You see, this brouhaha is not really about the Healthcare, or the Cap and Tax, or the TARP, or even the financial bailouts. This is about “engendering a sense of urgency”, so that these incremental little changes, like a snare, can be drawn gradually around the populace, encircling and ensnaring them until the populace is trapped into this socialist existence, forever to be doomed to a life of reduced expectations, and a third- world existence.
And all while the political elites live high on the hog- because make no mistake about this- they will refuse to live as you or I are forced to do. They will say that they must live better, so that they can make the decisions for you and me. It will be their “duty” to live better, you see.
Just as Al Gore justifies using his private jet, and his fleet of SUVs, all in the name of promoting “Global Warming”, ( I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around that hypocrisy), so these “leaders” will seek to justify their excesses, even as they deny you your rightful earnings.
The lies are profound, and yet the left denies the reality- just don’t look directly at it or the deception will blind you.
Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the Weather Underground, a radical organization from the 70s is a friend of Nobama- but the co- founder of the Weather Underground, Jeffery Jones, now heads up the Apollo Alliance, along with Van Jones, an avowed Communist and self- described radical. The Apollo Alliance helped write the Healthcare bill, along with the SEIU, the union that stands to benefit the most if this passes. I would love to know where the FBI was during the vetting process for Van Jones- in the normal order of things, this twice- arrested thug would not be let into the rotunda, much less be an advisor, or “Czar”.
Cass Sunstein, along with Mark Lloyd, the “Diversity” Czar, are seeking ways to control and shut down, (if they wish) the Internet- which has far too much truth to suit them. They feel that unregulated “truth” might be harmful, so in addition to silencing dissent on talk radio, and TV networks (except for the ‘Igor” networks that already do Nobama’s bidding), they also seek to control the Internet.
Sounds like Venezuela, or Russia, or China- any one of those three we should not emulate. At least, so you would think- but Mark Lloyd seems to admire that pig of a dictator, Hugo Chavez, so Mr. Lloyd thinks whatever Chavez did is just awesome, dude.
These people have been laying the groundwork for years, as I have said, slowly and quietly installing the base for their programs, like the “Community Reinvestment Act” under that well known socialist Jiminy Carter. He will forever be a traitor to me, and he is the single most prevalent reason I became a conservative.
Then there is the resistance to regulating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and others- and make no mistake, it is their fault more than anyone else’s. They kept President Bush and his cadre from installing regulations that might have reined in the worst of the excesses.
Now it’s Cash for Clunkers- the same thing, just get people in more debt- soon to come to a neighborhood near you, Cash for clunkin’ refrigerators- I couldn’t make this up.
So where’s the emergency? Oh, I know it’s coming, the situation they will use to clamp down on society and attempt to consolidate their control. It’s coming, of that you can be sure. Henry Kissinger once said, “Just because you are paranoid, does not mean people are not after you.”
I do not think I am wrong. I think there are going to be a bunch of my liberal friends going, “What happened? This is not what I voted for.” No kidding- that is the exact reason that Nobama was so vague and refused to be specific- “Hope and Change”- yeah, right.
The more things change, the more hope we will lose.
2010 is up to us.
