They Should Abort The Commercial

In a classic move that the left has perfected, a commercial will air on CNN that is full of lies. The commercial, will show the aftermath of a bombed out abortion clinic. The whole idea is that Judge Roberts supposedly sided with the criminals who bombed the clinic. The commercial gives the impression that Roberts agrees with this tactic and the hope of NARAL is to show Roberts is so anti-abortion he agrees with clinic bombings.

The commercial is reported to be a bloody mess from the crime. The unfortunate thing is that the left is so hell bent on stopping Roberts from being confirmed they are resorting to outright lies. Fact Check has debunked the content of the commercial but CNN has, so far, not decided to keep it from airing.

Here is a portion of the analysis from Fact Check:

And the ad misleads when it says Roberts supported a clinic bomber. It is true that Roberts sided with the bomber and many other defendants in a civil case, but the case didn’t deal with bombing at all. Roberts argued that abortion clinics who brought the suit had no right use an 1871 federal anti-discrimination statute against anti-abortion protesters who tried to blockade clinics. Eventually a 6-3 majority of the Supreme Court agreed, too. Roberts argued that blockades were already illegal under state law.

As you can see, Roberts argued a civil case that did not deal with the bombing and his opinion was supported by a 6-3 ruling of the SCOTUS. I know it is true that the left never lets facts get in the way of its agenda but I am always amazed at how openly they lie and mislead. The sad part is there are toadies out there who will believe this stuff.

Now we know where Dan Rather must be working these days.
