They Don’t Pay Attention

I was looking around at a few sites the other day and I noticed someone wrote a comment about the Dog. The comment basically read (paraphrase) I went to Dig Dug’s (a cute game of name calling that a child plays) site and the title had Ted Kennedy in it so I left. Can’t these guys leave a dying politician alone and get on with it?

Of course, this shows that the person was ignorant of the facts with regard to the post. The reason Kennedy was mentioned is because he decided to get in the news by making a lengthy speech about the military POW scandal from last year. He decided that he needed to get in the news and try to relive the disgrace that a few soldiers brought upon their service and our country. I just pointed out that ole’ Teddy did not feel it necessary to make a speech each year commemorating the murder of poor Mary Jo.

Then I heard in the news today that PFC Lynndie England pled guilty tot he crimes of which she is accused. She stepped up and took responsibility for her actions. She did not cover up what she did. She did not lie down in a fetal position on a bridge crying out “How could this happen? What will become of my career?” Now I find what the troops did unprofessional and wrong. I know if I were in charge there it would not have happened. This also brings us to another interesting point. Where are the higher ranking people who were involved in this and why have they not been brought to justice. It would seem those officers curry the same special treatment that uncle boozer did when his license was “fixed” to keep him out of even more trouble after he murdered poor Mary Jo.

One last thing. Take a look around at the liberal sites and every few days you will see one of the less informed bashing Ronald Reagan in one way or another. Now tell me exactly who it is that won’t leave a dead politician alone.

Ronald Reagan still sucks, dead or not.

  2. Big Dog says:

Now that was an intelligent response.
I wonder why you feel that way? Care to expound or is (fill in the blank ) sucks, the best you can do?
I think Reagan was loved by a great number of people and he did a lot of good in this world. Good that you fail to recognize because he was a Republican. If he had stayed in the dDemocratic party you would be hailing him as the second coming for all the great work he did.
I think the ceremonies honoring his life show how much he was appreciated. Of course, it is amazing to me that every time someone mentions Clinton you remark that you were a kid and did not have anything to do with politics then. You can never make a comment about Clinton because you were a small child. Were you even born when Reagan was President? Since he was way before Clinton, how can you have an opinion one way or the other, given your cop outs in regard to Billy boy. Following your logic (oxymoron) you should have no opinion about Reagan because he was before your time and you were not in to politics at that time. Your partisan side is showing again…..

If I feel I don’t have a grasp of something, I’ll say so. In the area of Clinton and common knowledge things, I’ll bow out sometimes. I can argue a lot better for Clinton these days after visiting the library and reading a lot more about him.

As for Reagan, he sucks. Here is why.

Reagan sold weapons to Iraq to fight Iran, which worked well on the Kurds. Oh but wait, we just sold them chemicals and technology that could have been used for WMD, but we didn’t know that’s what they were going to do with them. Forget about this one. Reagan denied they were ever gassed anyway.

Then there was South Africa. Reagan’s support for apartheid just screams “greatest president ever.” However, since the Berlin wall was falling down, the apartheid had to wait.

Let’s not forget about the Contras in Nicaragua. There were literally hundreds of thousands of deaths because of the “Reagan Doctrine” that funneled resources into death squads.

Then there’s the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan, some all around good guys. I think bin Laden was good friends with them. Oh wait, we didn’t support terrorists, no…

The list goes on and on. You hate Clinton because he cheated on his wife. I hate Reagan because he is a major cause of blowback that is at the roots of modern terrorism.

  4. Big Dog says:

The unfortunate part of this is that most of what you say is idle speculation from a book by the same name (Blowback).
There have been many allegations made yet there is not substantative proof. Show me where Reagan said the Kurds were not gassed because I missed that one. We also went through this exercise before. We supported the side that was against the Soviets. The simple fact of life is that sometimes it is the lesser of two evils. However, there is no evidence whatsoever that we worked with or provided money to OBL or the Mujahadeen. This is documented by Reagan and Clinton administration officials. We gave money and support to the Afghani people which is what OBL happened to also be doing.

I do not hate Clinton because he cheated on his wife. That is where all you donks make your mistake. You all say that it is about sex and cheating blah blah. The law Clinton broke is that he lied under oath. This is about the President of the US lying under oath. A lawyer should know better.

Also, this is a CEO having sex with a subordinate. Where was NOW and all the other hag organizations when this took place. Where were all those people who wanted the heads of the Army sergeants at Aberdeen? How about all the people who wanted blood after Tail Hook? Oh, it was just Clinton.

No, it could be idle speculation, but it’s not from just one book. I can name half a dozen on the top of my head that deals with the subject.

I’ll have to look up the gov doc I read the denial in. It was a human rights report on the Kurds. In the meantime, just remember that Reagan vetoed a bill sanctioning Iraq for the murders, Prevention of Genocide Act of 1988.

Deny the CIA and Bin Laden connection all you want. You can find information on it almost anywhere though.

Condi Rice lied under oath and she got secretary of state.
