You look at it all wrong. It is not a matter of me spending pennies per program, it is the aggregate of all those pennies I spend on all the programs. I don’t really care if I spend a few cents on each program if the number of programs make my few cents add up to tens of thousands of dollars in taxes. This is a dodge by the left to make the less intelligent think that we are only talking a few cents. We are talking an aggregate amount. It matters not how the money is divided, what matters is how much is taken in total. A guy who pays a million dollars in taxes still pays a million no matter how the feds divide it up.

But, if you could be so good as to make the bottom 50% of wage earners kick in a “few pennies” then maybe they will be patriotic and will have some skin in the game.

Tell me, do you think everyone should be treated equally and that laws should be applied equally? Should a rich guy and a poor guy get the same punishment for committing the exact same crime?

If you say that the laws should apply equally then why do you apply them unequally with regard to taxes? You want the rich guy to pay more than the poor guy and you want this all done in the name of equity. If we are supposed to have the laws apply equally then we should all pay the same percent of income to taxes. That would mean the bottom 50% could stop being unpatriotic and the top 50% would not have to carry the full load.

I am tired of progressives saying the rich can do a little more or pay their fair share when the really rich are paying almost all of the burden and the rest of us are paying for others. Man up and get some skin in the game.

Maybe we should start taxing people who fail to get a job or fail to pay an income tax. You know, a “penalty” for not doing something…

Orion 2 was to be the first manned launch in 2014 but this was pushed to 2015 after budget problems in 2007. Orion 1 was an unmanned mission.

Trillions over many years, yes. You complain about certain parts of the budget but with tax dollars going to so many different things your yearly cost for any particular program is almost always pennies.

While I think NASA can be more efficient it provides a benefit to society. It is certainly a better expense than trillions in welfare and taxes.

Those pennies of taxes you claim are trillions of dollars. It affects people quite a bit BUT if you look at it as mere pennies then tell the bottom 50% of wage earners to start kicking in some of those pennies.

You mad ethe claim that taxes hurt the lower end more (a fair tax at that) but you surely can’t argue that mere pennies will hur tthem. Hell, they might have to goive up a pack of smokes or get a cheaper model iphone but they can pay the pennies…

That is the problem with liberals. They think they know how your money affects you rather than minding their own business…

I have said before they are in the tank for him on a lot of things, just not this one. I base my thoughts on the fact checkers on the things I see.

I have seen their analysis of things that are absolutely contrary to what is presented and I have seen them absolutely correct based on what I know.

But, I don’t use them as my source one way or the other (not the sole source anyway). I merely pointed out here that Obama was all for them when they agreed with him. I did not say that they are correct or use them as my sole source. I can see what is going on and I can see that the Obama contributers at Bain have debunked the claim.

The year 2014 was just a test flight in the last timeline they had. It would be 2015 before the first manned flight.

I’m sad that we don’t have a manned space program right now but even if Obama had not cancelled the program we’d still not have one now. We’ll have manned space flight again in 2019 under the current plans. The irony here is had Obama not cancelled the project the right would have just blasted him for spending even more of our hard earned fractions of tax pennies.

Manned space flight is hardly what has made NASA great the last few decades anyway though. We’ve sent probes all over the solar system at this point and learned countless things about life in this part of the universe.

What happens is a group of people assemble a series of “facts” that support the idea that perhaps Obama was a foreign student, or perhaps Obama’s birth story is a lie. What groups like Fact Check do is check those facts and they fail. So I’ll agree that Obama might have been born on Mars or somewhere out of Hawaii. He might have gone to school as a foreign student. There is just no credible evidence to suggest that and it’s pure speculation by anyone who repeats such an idea.

Perhaps most folks do not understand the issue BUT his base is not only ignorant as to how it all works but will also take what Obama says as the truth rather than look at the other documents and the fact that Romney has never been looked at as commiting a crime by the government. If Romney had done something wrong it would have been pursued and this would not be some “new” revelation. They are not bright enough to see what is going on.

Those on the right who don’t understand are bright enough to see what is actually taking place.

You first. Project Constellation would not have been ready for human flight until at least 2015 anyway. Your attempt to blame Obama for us having to hitch a ride to ISS for now falls flat pretty fast.
