Whether you are conservative or liberal, you EXPECT that the people you elect to REPRESENT you will make you proud, not show someone their backside in full retreat. These REPRESENTATIVES (do you even know the definition of this word?) are paid to be our voices in the chambers of Congress or the state legislatures, not screams in the night as they blindly flee from their duties. You have to be REAL proud of the way they have been representing the voters here.

It's not being silly to state that they should have stayed and hammered out a deal inthe legislature instead of running like cowards to , first New Mexico, then when the Governor called a special session, to Oklahoma the second time. It was cowardly, and not worthy of the electorate they were supposed to represent.
If you think this is good behavior, I hope you never enter politics. That you can say this means that your IQ is on a par with other invertebrates. When you grow a spine, write back- then perhaps your opinion may have some merit.

"This statement was defeated in the Texas Legislature, by the same Democrats who thought that running off to Oklahoma was a good idea, instead of doing the job their constituents had elected them for. As far as I am concerned, they are traitors- turncoats who refuse to truly represent their electorate."

I don't know why right wingers keep saying "instead of doing the job their constituents elected them for." The Democrats were doing exactly the job they were elected for. Every time a right winger makes that stateement I just see them admitting that their IQ is getting lower and lower by the day.

When you can clearly elucidate why it was the right thing for a Democratic legislator to do at the time, then I will begin to think more of your posts and consider that your conservative argument may have some validity, but you won't gain any respect by being silly.

This is exactly how the War Between the States began- incrementally- until the Southern states felt they had no choice other than to do what they did.
In today's world, it couldn't happen except with Texas, or Alaska, but in those cases, both states would be viciously attacked not only by the US herself, but Mexico, in the case of Texas, and Russia in the case of Alaska.

Maybe, just maybe, if the southern states back in 1861 had done what a few have done now, there may not have been a civil war. Anyone have a time machine? That last was NOT a joke.

Considering that Texas is the number one exporting state in the nation, Hussein should just leave us the hell alone.
I would like that.
