The Obamessiah

I have written about this more than once. The left wonders why we refer to Obama as The One. They wonder why we mock him as some spiritual being. The halos around his head, his claim that he will make water recede, the claims he will heal the Earth, the claims that the clouds will open and there will be an epiphany, and the fact that Obama is Jesus is part of the Congressional Record might have something to do with it all.

The way his followers serve him in a cult like fashion leaves us to believe he is the messiah of the left. Obama (PBUH) has bought into all of this himself.

Yes, now you to can get faith merchandise from Barack Obama. This merchandise is designed to show friends and neighbors that you still have faith in The One. The nifty T-shirts will show the world that you are a follower of the Church of Barack. You must have faith, my children.

The One has spoken…

I detect a sense of sarcasm perhaps but it’s really nothing the McCain camp isn’t doing already with their merchandise targeting “Jews for McCain” or “Catholics for McCain.” I even just found a laughable set of “Hispanics for McCain” merchandise. That’s funny. I wonder if there’s one that says “Optionless White Men for Juan McCain” considering how some on your side treated McCain over immigration issues.

You and others would have said the same thing about the way people treated RFK I’m sure. I know, I know. Calling it a cult is just your way of dealing with the fear about Obama having such a strong and energized support base compared to your guy. But as a friend I wish you’d bring that into the open and stop masking your emotions. It’s not healthy…

There is a difference between (insert group name) for McCain and have faith in Obama. They dn’t say have faith in McCain, they say they support him. I guess all the pictures of Obama with a halo have gone to his head (pun intended). But remember, Obama is Jesus, it is in the Congressional record and Pelosi said he was sent to us…

I have no fear of Obama or his withering base. Why would I fear a person when I know I could do a better job leading this country than he could ever hope to? I certainly have more years of leading people than he has.

You mean the same RFK who illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King?

I survived Carter so I know I will survive Obama. If he wins I hope he does will but be assured that there will be many of us to point out the failures that are sure to come.

    I fear no one.

And as I recall, many of you Hillary supporters were not thrilled with this guy. He is your second (and in some cases third) choice. Same with McCain. Some of us supported others but this is who the media picked for our side.

The difference is, your guy picked a VP representative of the past and DC as usual and our guy picked the future…

I readily admit I wasn’t (and still not) thrilled about Obama compared to Hillary. But I stand with the Democrats and I believe that Obama will work more toward the goals that made me support Hillary so he gets my vote.

I figured you had sarcasm in the post because it’s obvious that the faith the merchandise talks about is not for Obama but for people of faith that support Obama. But don’t let facts get in the way of a good story…

Maybe you forget about these pictures, but Obama isn’t the first politician to be given a halo by the press photographers.

One would think that a man who has a messiah complex that he tries to live down would have better sense.

  5. Adam says:

One would also think a man of faith like Obama would like to bring other people of faith together for his campaign…

  6. Big Dog says:

A man of faith? I guess he could if he can get enough people to chant God Damn America and US of KKK. After 20 years of listening to that racist Pastor he must have learned something.

You cannot be a man of faith and advocate the murder of unborn children and leaving those born after an unsuccessful abortion to die.

  7. Adam says:

Remind me again, what is this stuff about unsuccessful abortions?

    The money shot:
On March 30, 2001, Obama was the only senator to speak in opposition to a bill that would have banned the practice of leaving premature abortion survivors to die. The bill, SB 1095, was carefully limited, its language unambiguous. It applied only to premature babies, already born alive. It stated simply that under Illinois law, “the words ‘person,’ ‘human being,’ ‘child,’ and ‘individual’ include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development.”
