The Obama Radical Brigade

Team Obama is working on ways to indoctrinate our children. Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs has a story about a paper sent home with school children in a town in Ohio. The paper describes the experience of a reader of the site and it is explained this way:

Her government class passed out this propaganda recruiting paper so students could sign up as interns for Obama’s Organizing for America (OFA is the former mybarackobama.com site.)

The papers are reproduced at the site and there is no doubt that this is designed to indoctrinate our youth into some kind of Obama SS brigade.

Look at the suggested reading list and you will see the book Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinksy.

If this kind of stuff comes home with my grandson the school is going to find out what it means to have radicalism stomped out.

The Obama folks want to make our children little brown shirted Obama followers, little radicals, little community organizers.

This must be stopped.

Obama said he was not a Bolshevik.

    I was watching a show on public television this evening and it was all about how this guy was hired to write a propoganda song about Putin and it became the number one song in Russia with all the young people while he was still president and still is today and is sung at all his activities. The young people are enraptured with this man because all the previous rulers were fat old grey despots so they have given him rock star status because he is younger and in shape. It is so similar to what has happened in this country and sad really to watch.

    I’m a liberal of course but even I’m starting to have problems with this program now that I’ve read more of their website. Check this out:

    The Organizing for America Internship provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to

    * Try new things.
    * Provide service to others.
    * Build self-confidence.
    * Reinforce ethical standards.

    While various activities and youth groups teach basic skills and promote teamwork, Organizing for America goes beyond that and encourages youth to achieve a deeper appreciation for service to others in their community.

    Right. I’m all for community involvement but who decides what that service is? Is it parents or is it a bunch of leaders without the parents knowing?

    The Organizing for America Internship provides youth with a sense that they are important as individuals. It is communicated to them that those in the Organizing for America family care about what happens to them, regardless of whether a game is won or lost.

    Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the Organizing for America Internship promotes activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem. As a result, when hard decisions have to be made, peer pressure can be resisted and the right choices can be made.

    What kind of “hard decisions” and “right choices” need to be made? Kicking in doors? Snitching on your friends?

    From the Organizing for America FAQ on what will be needed by an Intern:

    At minimum, each Organizing for America intern will need a uniform and a handbook. Additional supplies and equipment may be needed for certain activities.

    They’ll get their brown shirts and their indoctrination materials early on, I guess. The “additional supplies” stuff is a bit scarier and the “certain activities.” Notice they don’t go into detail about what those might be…

    Also to keep the parents away from the indoctrination process:

    Organizing for America Internship meetings are intended to be an activity for the individuals. They are not a family activity, and the presence of parents can be a distraction. However, parental involvement is not forbidden and all meetings should be open to your participation.

    I don’t really want my kids going into a room with some leaders and getting taught and worked with without knowing what’s going on in there.

    I see the program even has badges and “religious emblems” you can wear to show how far you’ve progressed in the program. This is very creepy. As someone who wants to have kids in the next few years I can’t help but think twice about this stuff. I think Obama needs to end this program and distance himself from this kind of stuff…

        This is a part of the mindset that has Owe-bama’s minions so tonedeaf to the Constitution and the individualistic sense of truly what it means to be an American.
        They do not want individuals who are independent thinkers, no, much as Ignacious Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order once said, “Give me children for three years, and they will be the Church’s forever.”
        This is the same kind of propaganda and mind control that has been tried through the years with Nazi youth, and Communist youth, and Catholic youth- this is an experiment that ALWAYS ends badly- but so many progressives ignore history that you sometimes wonder how they even have a clue as to how the world works- wait- they DON’T.
        They are by Einstein’s definition insane, because they keep trying the same failed things, hoping for a different result.
