DAR
Well Blake, you miss a lot of things. My link to polling report just gives a list of all major polls on this question (job approval), about 80 in total for this year. FOX is in there 7 times and has the same numbers as everyone else.

Palin, the dingbat queen of the earmark, was the biggest hypocrite smear machine of all time so no big surprise to see her going down in her own flames. She couldn't even hack the job of governor of her tiny state, population 600k. She asked them to let her lead them, and she cut and she ran.

Now the truth will out. Looks like she was about to get busted on: "conspiring with an Alaska contractor to inflate the price of a Wasilla sports complex she championed there as mayor in trade for the supplies and building labor on her nearby home."

<a href="http://www.stinque.com/2009/07/04/talibunny-facing-indictment-for-boosting-lumber-labor-for-home-from-hockey-rink-she-championed-as-mayor/" rel="nofollow">LINK</a>.

Course, you would still defend her if she ate babies in public. Your love of your ideology is not bounded by reason or honor.

The media was far too easy on her. I will miss her if she goes to jail. I was hoping she could be your Nader.

D.
-----------------
Charles Krauthammer:
"Now, as to Palin,... she is not a serious candidate for the presidency.

She had to go home and study and spend a lot of the time on issues with which she was not adept last year. And she hasn't.

She has to stop speaking in cliches and platitudes. It won't work. It could work for eight weeks if you're the No. 2 candidate, as she was last year. But even so, she got singed a lot in that campaign. You cannot sustain a campaign of platitudes and clichés over a year and a half if you’re running for the presidency."

I must have missed fox in your little polling fest there- I still do not see it except where you added it to your addendum explanation.
As to Palin, after the vicious smear attacks from the morally bankrupt left, I can't blame her. It is no wonder we cannot attract good people from either party to run- why should they subject themselves from the diarrhea of the mouth that the other side dishes out on a regular basis?
Both sides can be vicious, but your side takes the cake in slanderous comments regarding Palin.
Was she such a threat to you that your kneejerk comments were necessary? They sure weren't classy, or justified, that's for sure. I do not blame her a bit. Hell, if I were her, I would have blown off someone's kneecaps already if they had talked about my children that way.

BLK: "the people behind everyone of your polls?">>

DAR
Well FOX does kiss bum, but they don't exactly "lean left."

<a href="http://pollingreport.com/obama_job.htm" rel="nofollow">Polling report just gives bunches of polls, all mainstream</a>.

Two lines down from the three I quoted above:

FOX/OD 62% (6/9-10/09)

Embrace reality, don't deny it. That's just cowardice.

D.
----------------
Anyone got a fork to check Palin? I think she's done.

If you do not understand the reason behind the checks and balances of the branches of our government, than your high school teachers have, as usual, not done their job with the usual inefficiency. Go to the nearest textbook and look it up.
If, however, you do know and comprehend the workings, and you STILL aren't a little alarmed by Hussein's "czars" (of which at last count numbered 21), you are either far more trusting, or far more ignorant than I gave you credit for.
Randy- we have had several conversations where, while I might not have agreed with all you said, I listened, or rather, read carefully, because I felt you might be able, better than Darrel, to judge just how fragile our Republic is at this moment in time.
Perhaps I was wrong in my assessment.

And have you looked at the people behind everyone of your polls? It is SO strange--- they all lean left and kiss the butt of the messiah.

Yes- the drug czar- but never have so many been so unaccountable to the people and to the laws of checks and balances.
As to the children passage of my post, surely you must know that it was common even in this country to have at least one child enter the family business- now that has become rarer and rarer still, thanks to the plethora of opportunities we have here. Less opportunities exist in other countries. Surely even you must know this.

So Obama is gonna have legislation passed so that children must pursue the careers of their parents? I must have missed that part of his legislative agenda. Also, Obama is far from the first POTUS to appoint "czars". In fact, I believe the first "czar" was appointed by a Republican.

BLK: "This is one of the few nations where you do not have to feel confined or defined by what your father or mother has done in their lives.>>

DAR
What? Really? In most nations they make the children do the same job as the parents? I didn't know that. I am learning so much.

Perhaps someone needs to get a passport and do a little traveling?

BLK: "...if your father was, say, a piano tuner, you are not obligated by necessity to follow in his footsteps.>>

DAR
But in other countries, you are? Where do you come up with this stuff!?

BLK: This country is under siege- the very foundations of this country are being stolen...>>

DAR
You know the trouble with constantly using such ridiculous hyperbole, as you do, is that you quickly make words meaningless. It's kind of dishonest and leads to confused thinking. It's lying with language. Better to be accurate with language.

Now what if this country really was under siege? What would you say then? People would just dismiss you and say, "Aw, that's just Blake. You can't trust him about such things." And they would be right.

Apparently the populace hasn't discovered this problem with the siege. Obama job approval, the latest three polls:

CNN/ORC 61% (6/26-28/09)

ABC/Washington Post: 65% (6/18-21/09)

CBS/New York Times: 63% (6/12-16/09)

Hey, I am a piano technician, my son likes to skateboard, and he's following in my footsteps. What are the odds?!
