The Bourne Insanity

Jason Bourne is a fictional character in novels written by Robert Ludlum. During a mission Bourne, a CIA agent, is shot in the head and suffers amnesia. Matt Damon portrayed Bourne in the movie version of the novels and did a remarkable job with the character.

Unfortunately, it would seem that Matt Damon has trouble with his brain in real life. He was interviewed and gave his impression of Sarah Palin. Damon stated that the selection of Palin worried him. He stated that he wanted to know if she wanted to ban books and why. That Democratic rumor has been disproved but there are still those who are unable to see the truth. Damon also wanted to know if Palin thought dinosaurs roamed the Earth 4000 years ago. I guess he thinks her name is PALINtologist.

The interesting thing is that Damon questions Palin’s experience by saying she was the Mayor of a very, very, small town and has only been a Governor for a year and a half. This gives him pause because she is, according to Damon, likely to become president. Damon bases this on actuary tables.

In the interview, which was more an Obama endorsement, Damon never once expressed the same reservations about Barack Obama who has never been the mayor of a town of any size. Obama’s sole claim to experience is his service as a community organizer (running his campaign not withstanding /snark), which I think means he was not the leader of the entire population, very small or otherwise. Obama has only been a Senator for 4 years and he has been campaigning for 2 of them which means he began his run with a whopping 2 years of legislative, not executive experience. Obama has spent more time running for office than he has serving in the Senate where he has worked for fewer than 200 days. Palin’s year and a half as Governor is a year and a half of executive experience and that does not count her executive time as mayor. Regardless of the amount of time, it is more than Obama has.

In a surreal comedy where life imitates art, it appears that Damon took a shot of liberal Obama Kool-aid to the head and has lost the ability to engage in rational thought.

Damon said that Palin reminded him of a really bad Disney movie. If they made a movie about Damon’s support of Obama it would have to be called The Bourne Insanity.

I want to know if Matt really thinks I care waht the hell he says. he is a actor and has as much sense of the world as my cat.

And what about Obama’s lack of doiong anything. he has not written or publisjed anything other than his biography twice. Does Matt even know what Oboma did in Illinois???? Does he know that he has not done anything in political life other than miss voted and say present for 130 times or so.

Sorry, Matt you can’t even act. You did do a half way decent job with the Bourne series, but the rest of your acting career is crap.

Is there any other job that you can think of which allows you to travel all over the world “interviewing” and trying to get another job while still keeping your position for you and paying you the whole time? Perhaps it would be better if those wishing to change their status in the government would have to give up their current position to campaign and run for another position. That would make a big difference. Someone would actually be A Senator rather than trying to become President and being paid for being a Senator when you have been doing nothing but campaigning for two years of your tenure.

Unbelieveable. And Matt Damon is typical of the Hollywood libs. If they are so concerned about helping the poor and all that, how about instead of campaiging for a socialist agenda they just give their vast salaries over and leave my pittance alone. Hey, I like that one!

    Well written once again BD.

Matt Damon?? F*ck him and all of his elitist, disingenuous friends in Hollywood. They’re all so compassionate and caring about people in need, but they’d freak if you asked them to give up one of their mansions to someone in need. He’s an actor, an entertainer, so all I have to say to him is shut the hell up and go make another movie for me to watch. Just not another Bourne movie, that crap has been done to death. I do like Dog’s idea though, except it should be called The Bourne Idiocy.

    Hi Nichole,
I could go with that title. Either would work, maybe a series is at hand…

Hey ya Dog, hoping all is good for you.
A new Bourne series might be fun, couldn’t be any worse than the first. That pretty boy Damon scares me, no man should have skin that smooth.

WAY off topic: I just watched the Presidential Forum, and Barak Obama talks too damn much. Something is very wrong about a guy who talks more than I do.

I also saw Sarah Palin’s interview, and I’m starting to like her. (gasp!)

Hi Nichole, all is well but low key on this solemn day. My Flag flew proudly as always. I hope you are well.

I saw part of the interview and she did well. You think the MSM is not in the tank for Obama? When Gibson read the quote of her’s about God and she said she did not believe they were her exact words and he said EXACT. He was wrong. Here is what she said:

” Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God,” she exhorted the congregants. “That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”

That is how it equates to what Lincoln said. She was telling the truth and Gibson was being dishonest.

Today is a rough one for me too, I saw you’re tribute to your friend, and it was really sweet. My Uncle Kerry was in New York that day on business, and never came home. Then last year my Uncle Doug died. So not only am I heartbroken over the loss of my Uncles, who were more like older brothers than anything else, I am also heartbroken about the loss of everyone else that died that day.

I’m sure that I’ll see them again someday though, and that keeps me sort of smiling.

I got my weekly letter from my penpal in Afghanistan today though, so that was a good thing, he keeps trying to get to send him beer, lol.

Other than that things are so so. I think sleep will be a good thing soon. I don’t think so much when I’m sleeping.

While I don’t go to church, nor am I Christian, I do believe very much in God, and I think she’s right, the military protects those of us who can’t protect ourselves, and that’s definitely a God thing.

As for Gibson, isn’t nice how people twists the words of others for their own agenda?

I apologize for the length of my post, I can be pretty chatty, lol.

Hava a great night…off to bed for me.
