The Blog

People who read this site (and I know 2 of the 3) know that I have used information from the American Legion Magazine. This month the magazine has an article about blogs and bloggers. The question is posed “Should bloggers be taken seriously?”
The answer is that there is no other choice. Blogging has emerged as a major influence on world events. In addition, the bloggers give people a choice in where they get their information. The article poins out that blogging started as a logical extension to the home web page. It hit the big time when a blogger named Matt Drudge introduced the world to an intern named Monica Lewinsky.
The report also tells of another incident in which bloggers played a big part.
…blogs are credited with fueling the mainstream media scrutiny of CBS anchor Dan Rather after he broadcast a news report involving falsified documents.
I recommend that you get a copy of this magazine. It has other excellent articles in it as well. You can order it at the Legion web site or, if you are a veteran meeting the criteria or the relative of a veteran you might be eligible to join as a legionairre or one of the auxillary components.

Not to mention that bloggers are not (not yet anyway) bought and sold like the corporate media. We’ll always tell it the way we see it and not dumb things down to keep our readers happy. And there are just so damn many of us…
You are right. There are so many of us that they have to listen. You would enjoy the article. I am sure you can get it at the College Library.
You know originally I wasn’t planning to do political vlogs but it’s just too much fun to rip apart the left and thier illogical theories.
Here is my video on the left’s reaction to the Iraqi elections:
