The ACLU Employs Bad People

Jay at Stop the ACLU has a post up about two people who have are now employed by the ACLU. One is CAIR National Board Chairman Parvez Ahmed and the other is Bernardine Dohrn formerly of the radical group know as the Weathermen. Stop the ACLU reports; “CAIR and the ACLU have cooperated on a number of issues at the national level to defile America like defending people with admitted terror ties, destroying National Security, and a number of other anti-American activities.” Part of the history of CAIR is:

Founded in 1994, CAIR is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has thirty-one chapters and regional offices in the United States and Canada. CAIR was founded by Nihad Awad, Omar Ahwad, Rafiq Jaber, and other former members of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP). Jaber is also the current spokesman for the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation in Illinois; a mosque tied to the IAP and to the Quranic Literacy Institute named in the 2004 drive-by murder of David Boim.*

As for Dohrn and her past:

At a “War Council” in Flint, Michigan in 1969, their leader Bernardine Dohrn praised the serial murderer Charles Manson: “Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim’s stomach. Wild.” She then proclaimed that the time had come to launch the war against “Amerikkka” (the Weathermen always spelled America this way) and to form a Weather Underground to carry out terrorist activities.

Stop the ACLU asks; “Is it really suprising[sic] that an organization that is always first in line to defend terrorists would employ one?”

The ACLU hires these kinds of people to instill their version of civil liberties on America. This organization is full of communists and socialists (and now terrorists) and they hire America’s enemies to push their version of liberty on us.

If you wish to read more about these two people go to (both Stop the ACLU posts):

UPDATE:This from Instapundit ties in nicely:

MORE BAD PRESS FOR C.A.I.R., which gets better press than it deserves usually. This, for example, is kind of embarrassing: “Perhaps the most obvious problem with CAIR is the fact that at least five of its employees and board members have been arrested, convicted, deported, or otherwise linked to terrorism-related charges and activities.”

A right-wing group similarly linked to, say, white-supremacist criminals, would never hear the end of it. And it would never, ever, be mentioned in the media without that fact being brought up.
