Ted Kennedy To Write Children’s Book

Senator Ted Kennedy will write a children’s book entitled “My Senator and Me.” The book is designed to show children how government works. I would think they would find someone who actually knows and get that person to write the book.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to create a book for young readers and their families that will deepen their understanding of how our American government works,” Kennedy said in a statement Monday issued by Scholastic.

According to Scholastic, Kennedy’s book “not only takes readers through a full day in the Senator’s life, but also explains how a bill becomes a law.” Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, was inspired to write the book from his work with a Washington-based reading program, “Everybody Wins!”

If Kennedy writes a book about how government actually works the children will have nightmares. Rumor has it the book is supposed to be 55 pages long but when they add the mandatory Democratic filibuster the length will increase geometrically.

There has been no confirmation that Kennedy originally wanted to write a book entitled “The Little Still That Could.”
