Now all-government-is-good, bigger-government-is-better Schumer wants to limit people who ride trains. Yes, that 19-century mode of travel that Obama wants to be his signature moment. Yes, the same modes of transportation for which the government is about to spend in the range of $400 billion to save 30 minutes of travel time. Yes, the same mode of travel that most people simply do not want, cannot access, and will not use, but will all be forced at gunpoint to pay for.
Schumer wants to make his own personal list of who will be allowed to ride the trains and who will not. Oh, don’t worry, Schumer won’t maintain the list — he’ll hire one of his friends to maintain the list with a $250K taxpayer salary, of course. And if you’re a government employee, of course, you will be free to ride all the government trains without hindrance. But hey, if you’re one of those working stiff PAYING for the train? Get ready for the next level of expansion of the TSA. Remember that 30 minutes you’re going to save when the government spends hundreds of billions of dollars to speed up the trains? Yeah, you just lost it due to the upcoming security theater.
I just can’t wait until they start putting TSA goons at every single public bus stop. I’m sure they will just crow about the idea they’re “putting Americans (and illegal aliens) to work.” Of course, by that time, the only people riding the bus will be the other TSA agents and government employees going to their taxpayer-paid jobs.

Was Biden’s Remark Designed To Stir More Fear?

The Obama administration runs on fear which might sound strange considering Democrats made this charge about President Bush for anything he did after 9/11. Time and again Democrats said Bush used fear to get what he wanted done. Interestingly, the first 100 days of the Obama administration have been marked by one incitement of fear after another.
Rahm Emanuel said that they could not let a good crisis go to waste and the Obamabots are certainly taking advantage of every opportunity during this economic crisis to get what they want. Obama himself gave us all the dire warnings and incited a great deal of fear when he was working to get his outrageous stimulus package approved.
Now a new “crisis” has emerged and it is the H1N1 Swine Flu scare. I will not rehash the way this has been overblown but suffice it to say that they have sounded the dire warnings from the start. As it starts to get more clear that the flu is not as bad as first thought and that the spread is not as bad the fear factor is starting to lose effect. Without the fear “emergency” spending worth billions of dollars will be hard to get passed and drug companies might not be allowed near the trough.
In steps Joe Biden to help with the situation. Biden has never been known to say much that is based in reality though I honestly believe he thinks what he says makes sense. The truth is that his ego is so big and he has such an elevated opinion of himself that he believes what he spews. However, it is possible that his latest words or wisdom were calculated (or given to him). On television, Joe stated:
Biden told NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday that he had urged family members to avoid airplanes and subways for fear of contracting the H1N1 flu virus.
“I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now,” Biden said. My Way News
After saying he would not go in confined spaces Joe took the train home.
Since this is Joe Biden it is hard to figure if he was just talking on the Today Show or if he said it to rile people up.
One would think Biden would not be so dense as to say something like this and then get on a train but this is Joe Biden and he generally says things that make no sense or that he figures people want to hear so it is really hard to tell.
Pretty soon there will be another “crisis” so this one will soon be forgotten.
At least we can still count on Biden to be the gaffe machine. Let’s face it, a blithering moron like Biden makes Obama look good and keeps America praying that nothing happens to the sainted won lest we be cursed with Biden at the helm.

The Obama Express

Earlier today I had to run a few errands. On my way back home I noticed a Maryland State Police car blocking the entrance to a church about a mile from my home. I then saw another MSP car on the side of the road about a half mile from my home. As I approached the road to turn into my development I saw about 6 cars on the side of the road and people standing off to the side looking at the railroad tracks. I then realized that the Obama Express was going to pass by there and that these morons were waiting to see a train with some glimmer of Hope that the sainted one would wave at them.
The tracks are about 200 yards from my home and from my front yard I can see the trains that regularly pass by. All I kept hoping was that nothing happened up here and that he was able to make his way to Baltimore where tens of thousands of people waited all day to hear him speak. I did not want my area to be the place known for something bad happening to the messiah. Not that any of the Conservatives here would do much. They were busy working or taking care of their personal business. Besides, his followers are usually the ones who are arrested for breaking the law. It is obvious that Obama does not have a lot of support here because there were nearly as many police officers as followers. I like it that way.
I got to thinking about the train and the whole dog and pony show Obama is putting on. I call it political bling. Rappers wear expensive jewelery and flash their status with that bling as if to say; “Look at me, I’m something.”
The Obama express and all the self aggrandizing events that have been going on are Obama’s way of saying the same thing, bling, bling.
Thinking about the train ride made me think of song about a train (no not Love Train or Crazy Train). With all due respect to Johnny Cash, I present the Obama Express:
I see the train a comin’
It’s rollin’ ’round the bend,
Don’t wanna see ole hopenchange,
Since I’m not a fan,
I’m stuck in liberal Prison,
And time keeps draggin’ on,
But the liberals keep extollin’,

But he took some coke and MJ,
