Who Are You Going To Believe?

Barack Obama has a problem with the truth as does his running mate Joe Biden. This is not to say that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have not had their issues with the truth because they are politicians and often the facts depend what reference is used. There is a distinct difference between using resources that support your position and telling outright lies.

After the last debate we were bombarded by the Obama regime all telling us that Mitt Romney lied. Why, Obama was so stunned that Romney has changed his position (though there is no evidence that he has done so) and just flat out lied that he could not effectively respond.

Changed positions? Is it a changed position for Obama to tell us that if he did not fix things in four years he would be one term? Is it changed for Obama to say racking up debt on the credit card of China was unpatriotic when Bush did it but OK when he does it? Is it a changed position for Obama to say he does not support gay marriage then say that he does (when he needs support from the gay community)? Why are all these items ignored?

Politicians change positions but unfortunately, most of the time they change for political expedience rather than an evolved and well thought progression (or regression as the case might be).

When it comes to lies though it is often difficult to say the politician was lying at the time. A politician probably really believes he will change things or accomplish what he says when he arrives in office only to find it difficult. When a politician says something he absolutely knows he cannot do then he is lying.

Barack Obama said he would cut the deficit in half in his first term. He has not and has in fact doubled it. This was a lie because he knew he could not do this. He had to know that his big time spending plans would not allow him to cut the deficit in half.

Obama just told a whopper of a lie when he said that the we (the American taxpayer) got back every dime of the bailout. Last week Obama claimed that we got back every dime used to bailout the financial system.

The problem is the CBO says that we will lose about $24 BILLION dollars and about $65 BILLION remains outstanding.

So we not only did not get it all back but a lot remains at large and we are expected NOT to get it all back. This is just in the financial part of the bailout. Let us not forget that GM got BILLIONS and we will not get that back.

[note]How much is a BILLION? If you had a BILLION dollars and spent $1000 a day it would take you 2,740 years to spend it all.[/note]

If that is not bad enough it looks like Joe Biden, fresh off his demented old man performance at the debate, has been caught in a lie. We already know that he lied about the Embassy security in Libya. Even though Hillary Clinton fell on her sword for a lying president (not the first time she has ever done that) the reality is the regime lied about what happened and the security issues. Perhaps if Obama attended his daily security briefs he would be better aware of what is going on. Unfortunately it appears as if the only way he would get those briefs is if they were written on a golf scorecard.

Anyway, Biden lied about the issue regarding religious institutions (among many other things) being forced to provide contraception to their employees. Paul Ryan asked a great question about this. If what Biden said was true then why is the Catholic Church suing the regime over the issue? Biden claimed that he was telling the truth (he hardly ever tells the truth) but the Catholic Bishops have weighed in and said Biden is lying.

The duo of Obama and Biden is dangerous for this nation. A second term where Obama is unbridled would result in damage that would be difficult to recover from and would take years, if we were able to recover at all.

It is time to end the Obamanation.

Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Meanwhile, Back At The Ranch…

Or in this case, back to the TARP, which has seemingly been forgotten, dropping off of the radar, which is, what I believe was the administration’s attempt to imitate David Copperfield, misdirecting everyone’s attention with all the flying donkeys that spin around the room. You have the TARP, Stimulus 1. stimulus 2, cash for clunkers, Cap & Tax, the healthcare- it’s enough to make your head spin, and that is what King Hussein wants. Like a con artist at the old shell game, he counts on the public not being able to keep up.

So it is up to us to try and keep score- after all, this is our money, not a bit of it is Hussein’s– and since he is not going to be transparent, we have to slice through the myriad layers of Chicago Bullsh*t that these people erect to disguise their thievery.

Despite a new oversight panel, a new special inspector general, the existing Government Accountability Office and eight other inspectors general, those charged with minding the store say they don’t have all the weapons they need. Ten months into the Troubled Asset Relief Program, some members of Congress say that some oversight of bailout dollars has been so lacking that it’s essentially worthless.

“TARP has become a program in which taxpayers are not being told what most of the TARP recipients are doing with their money, have still not been told how much their substantial investments are worth, and will not be told the full details of how their money is being invested,” a special inspector general over the program reported last month. The “very credibility” of the program is at stake, it said.

news.yahoo.com

That’s right- we the people, in the form of the special inspector general who is appointed specifically to keep track of where the money goes, will not be told by Treasury just who has what money, and how effective this program has been. This is not just an unforgivable lack of oversight, but a criminal offense, when Treasury stonewalls like this.

Henry Paulson , the Treasury secretary under former President George W. Bush , repeatedly stiff-armed the panel. Timothy Geithner , the current secretary, has been more open, but so far has testified just once before Warren’s group. Geithner is scheduled to appear again in September, and has agreed to do so quarterly, and two other senior Treasury officials also have appeared.

The relative lack of testimony from top officials, however, is one reason why critics of Warren’s panel think it hasn’t delivered on its promise.

In June, in an otherwise mundane congressional hearing, Republican Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas surprised Warren with an aggressive critique of the panel, saying it’s failed to help taxpayers understand what Treasury is doing with the billions at its disposal.

“There’s been very little value that the panel has brought to this issue or even insight on how these bailout dollars have been used,” he said. “I frankly believe at this point, given the reports that we’ve seen again with little value, I think the panel needs to be abolished.”

news.yahoo.com

Yes- to say that this panel hasn’t delivered on it’s “promise” is an understatement indeed- but what do you expect from people appointed by the one person who wants this to stay opaque- King Barama. He is relying on his minions to keep the transparency out of the equation, no matter what he said. For him, words are indeed cheap. But the value of keeping the public’s head spinning? Priceless.

Such a juggler- but then he has a supporting cast that only a Nazi could love- all those “Czars”- I have counted 28 of them so far, but the day is young. Most of these are either avowed Communists, Socialists, or environmental whackjobs. A few, the ones that will be overseas, are more mainstream- I guess the more mainstream you are, the farther from the halls of power you end up- the more radical you are, the more access you get with the Resident.

Together, they are assisting the Resident in fooling the American People- TARP is just one program that is not living up to it’s promise. There are others, and I will get into them soon, as well as these unsupervised, unaccountable “Czars” who want to rule us as the Czars did in Russia in the past.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Hunkerin’ Down

Well, the day is coming that Barama will have a stranglehold on the capitalist system- the only way this could be averted would be if politicians found some testicular fortitude and opposed him and his posse in their quest to re- make America into the Socialist paradise they envision. Yeah, like that’s going to happen.

I have spoken to several liberals who just think this is not going to be the scenario I envision, even after I tell them the steps that must be taken to become socialist, and they AGREE that these things are happening.
Things such as converting the U.S. Federal loans for banking institutions from preferred, or non- voting stock, into common stock, effectively nationalizing the U.S. banking industry.

Dictating the salaries of executives, even those not directly attached to the TARP funds.

Nationalizing the auto industry to the benefit of the unions, and detriment of the investors, including the U.S. taxpayers, who will not get ANY of the 20- 30 billion dollars we will have put into the auto companies.

Even using the TARP funds was an unconscionable abuse of both taxpayer monies, and governmental power.

Not to mention giving billions to alleged “Community Groups” engaged in organized fraud and strong arm tactics benefitting Barama and his cronies.

Along the lines of do as we say, and not as we do, otherwise known as rank hypocrisy and/ or blatant lies, despite claiming that he loves the environment ( I doubt that he has ever been in a national park- nature abhors a vacuum)- his Inaugural emitted over 500 million pounds of Co2, and cost, in a lousy economic climate, 170 million, more than Bush’s Inaugural. What a hypocrite.

The truly disturbing thing is that Congress, which has traditionally held onto it’s power and legislative turf jealously, surrendering no ground to the Executive branch, has rolled over like a cur dog showing its belly in abject cowardice. The houses of Congress should act as a brake on the dictatorial demands of this megalomaniac, but instead, they seem to be mesmerized into tiny little yes- men (oh- and women too).

Well, I have done what I could to weather this sorry period in our nation’s history, transferring all my funds out of the bank I used (It took the TARP), and put it in a bank that was smart. I cashed my stock when it went from 14,000 to 13,000, and diversified into safer, and more lucrative areas. All my property is paid off, and I have a large veggie garden that, while it tears me to pieces to work it, still gives us a good yield. I have the ability to shoot game if I need to, and I am lucky- I can “Hunker Down”, as they say around here.

I feel for the people who are in apartments where they cannot rightly garden- if I was living in an apartment, i would organize people into a communal garden. Grow tomatoes on the back porch, or zucchini on the balconies. Trade veggies to hedge against the cost of food. In subdivisions, find out about backyard gardens- can you? If so, grow what you like, and what you can eat or trade with others.

Read books- I know, it seems anachronistic to even deal with books in the age of the computer, but it’s low on the energy usage scale, and you can use a book to level the legs on a table. Of course you can use one of Barama’s speeches to level the table also- that might just be it’s only useful purpose.

At any rate, there are alternatives to living as we have been, and you need to find them quickly, because we will not have this level of comfort again, possibly in our lifetimes, as long as Barama gets his policies enacted by his lapdog Congress. Third- world status, here we come.

You will need to learn to can vegetables and fruits, and read by candlelight- what the heck- Lincoln did it, I am sure that Barama feels that we can do it too, and we will need to as the “Green” technology doubles our energy bills and we can no longer afford to light our homes. But that’s OK, isn’t it, as long as Barama gets his way.

Gee, wouldn’t you hate to disappoint the great Barama?

This will just be like being trapped outside in a thunderstorm-

Just hunker down.

Chains You Can Believe In

There is no doubt among those of us with brains that Barack Obama is moving us toward Socialism. As part of that effort he is working toward government having a hand in business so that government can tell business what to do, how much to pay, and who needs to be fired. We have seen ALL of this already.

I have made it clear that government has no business getting involved in business but there is a little problem and that is the bailout money. Obama and the Congress are setting conditions that were not in place when bailout funds were distributed. They failed to have restrictions or conditions when the money went out so they added them later. This is a violation of the Constitution and needs to be stopped.

One other problem is that some financial institutions took bailout money because they were forced to by the government. There were plenty that wanted nothing to do with it but they were FORCED by the US government. Now they are stuck with the same rules that those who wanted the money must endure.

Well why don’t they just pay the money back?

That is the problem. Stuart Varney is reporting that the Obama administration is refusing to take back TARP money and Varney asks and answers this question; “So why no cheering as the cash comes back?”

Varney reports that financial institutions that want to pay back the TARP money are not being allowed to do so. That’s right folks, those who took the money (many who were forced) are not being allowed to pay it back. Why would the government not want the money to come back in? The answer is very simple and Varney nails it:

My answer: The government wants to control the banks, just as it now controls GM and Chrysler, and will surely control the health industry in the not-too-distant future. Keeping them TARP-stuffed is the key to control. And for this intensely political president, mere influence is not enough. The White House wants to tell ’em what to do. Control. Direct. Command. Wall Street Journal

The government wants control. It is that simple and it is a necessary element in order to have Socialism. The government wants control. Say it over and over until you understand it. The government wants control.

The government is using the manufactured crisis in order to gain control over larger parts of our society and it is giving up our sovereignty to the rest of the world. Obama bows to Kings and Obama has allowed foreign countries to decide executive pay of US companies to oversee “Corporate Social Responsibility.” According to Dick Morris our Declaration of Independence was repealed on 2 April 2009 by Barack Obama at the G-20.

Corporations have no social responsibility. They have a responsibility to their stockholders. It is not up to companies to ensure people can afford products or that they are available to everyone. Companies are in business to MAKE MONEY, not run welfare clinics. Companies who took TARP money (or had it forced upon them) have obligations so long as they hold the money. The US is refusing to take it back so that it can continue to exercise control over those companies.

It is time for the companies to contact the government and tell Obama that the money is ready to be repaid and if it is not accepted by the government the debt will be considered forgiven and the company no longer accountable for it. Then the companies should do what they want and tell the federal government to piss off.

The idea that there is some social responsibility is what drives Obama and his Socialist buddies. They believe that the producers are responsible for providing to the looters. There is no doubt that this mentality was ingrained long ago when he was a dope smoking teen in whatever nation his parents decided he belonged. Obama was the beneficiary of affirmative action, of handouts, of his hatred of whites and the exploitation by them (read his book). It is only natural that he would think that he is the one to make the achievers give to the looters. Who is John Galt?

Obama wants everyone under the thumb of oppression. He wants everyone to be sunject to the whims of the federal government at all times. He wants people unable to do anything without the government mandating it and he wants those who achieve to pay for it.

What will happen if all the companies just stop? The ILLEGALS get together once a year and riot, uh, protest their conditions and they do it on May Day, which is a Communist holiday. They think they can shut down the country by not working for a day.

The true achievers could. If we all decided not to work or shop for one day the revenues would stop. If businesses decide to stop dealing in the US then it will get worse. At some point we will have more looters than providers. As Margaret Thatcher once said; “Socialism is great until the other guy’s money runs out.”

Then what happens?

In any event, Obama and the US government are not taking back the TARP funds because they want to keep their hooks in the financial institutions. They want to make more rules that are burdensome and require some sort of social responsibility, the same kind that started this mess (regardless what the lefties say).

Rahm Emanuel said not to let a crisis go to waste (even a manufactured one). It would appear that this is the case in their financial dealings as well. It is well known that Democrats got rich driving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the ground. It is well known that Democrats benefit from Wall Street political donations and it is well known that some of those hedge funds were run by Democrats (Chelsea Clinton got a job at one as a favor). They all became rich driving companies into the ground.

Now there is word that some of the Obama minions have become wealthy as a result of dealings with TARP recipients. Never let a good crisis go to waste especially when you manufactured it or caused it, take you pick.

The Democrats, with King Hussein at the helm, are looking to take over and rule the country under Socialism. They are following Alinsky’s rules to take over and people are sitting back and letting them. Pretty soon we will all be completely under the thumb of oppression.

Chains you can believe in. (Thanks Angel for that title)

Certainly chains that will be hard to unshackle.

Dow Tanks On Obama Plan

On Monday night Barack Obama preempted regular programming in order to get on the air and scare people into supporting the future generation bankruptcy plan. After he told us of the dire consequences of inaction he took some questions. Some of those questions dealt with the second half of the TARP money and what was going to be done to ensure that it worked and there was accountability. Obama said that his Treasury Secretary Tim [Geithner] would be speaking at a press conference tomorrow [Tuesday] and would explain it all. Obama did not want to steal Geithner’s thunder.

Well, Geithner spoke and all I can say is if this is the brightest guy and the only one who could handle the problem then we are in real trouble. This specific plan that Obama said would be revealed was a very general plan with NO specifics. There was no meat to the thing. He did manage to say that access to government resources is a privilege and not a right. I want to point out that they are not government’s assets because government has none. The assets belong to the taxpayers who have them confiscated.

In any event, Geithner and the rest of the government would do well to remember his words. Access to our money is not a right. It might be legal but that does not make it right.

This plan had no substance but we were assured that they would tell it to us once they got it straight. If it takes as long for him to come up with a plan as it did for him to pay his taxes we will all be dead of old age before it is published. This is the guy who was told he had to pay taxes and was given money to do so but decided not to anyway. If he was told to and said he would (signed a paper indicating) and then did not then it must have been intentional.

Obama promised a plan and he promised Geithner would deliver it. The guy comes out today and he has no plan. He is lacking substance and the genius who was going to fix it all because he had the answers brought so little out today that he wasted our time.

Wall Street reacted unkindly. The Dow dropped around 400 points today after he “detailed” the plan.

This is the plan Obama made us wait for?
