Race Card To The Top

When liberals have no argument or are losing they resort to using the race card. While there are issues regarding race with a small number of people, the majority of people in this country don’t really care about the color of a person’s skin. As MLK said, it is about the content of one’s character.
When liberals are losing they throw the race card around. It is a card from a well worn deck where every card is the race card and it is played all the time. In North Carolina blacks have been targeted by Democrat Kay Hagan with mailers indicating that if the Republican candidate wins Obama will be impeached. The flier has an image of blacks who were lynched.
Maryland is a hugely Democrat state with a plethora of minority voters and limousine liberals who vote for Democrats. The few heavily Democrat counties overwhelm the rest of the state and thus all citizens are at the mercy of those few subdivisions.
Anthony Brown was supposed to waltz in and become the next Governor of the state but his lackluster performance as Lieutenant Governor (including his failure with the healthcare exchange that wasted millions of dollars) coupled with his uninspiring campaign has left him in a close race. In a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2:1, Brown is only up by single digits.
Those are public polling numbers. The internals of the campaign must paint a different picture. My suspicion is that the polling indicates that black voters will likely skip the election or not show up in numbers sufficient enough to give Brown the win.
This must be the case because Brown has resorted to using the race card.
The Democrats in Maryland have targeted black voters with a flier that has pictures from long ago and indicates that if Brown is not elected the advances blacks have made will be lost. There are pictures from the civil rights marches, colored only entrance signs and other racist photos of a long ago era. The front has a picture of Dr. Martin Luther king, Jr with the words “It’s been a long journey…”
Dr. King was a Republican.
The wording is overtly racist in that it indicates “…it’s OUR turn…” Since blacks are the target of the fliers it is safe to conclude that the OUR is the black community. Your turn for what? To have a black governor? Will brown not be the governor of ALL people in the state? Is not indicating that it is OUR turn racist in and of itself?
The icing on the cake is that the images are all of the racism that existed because of Democrats. It was the Democrat party that opposed civil rights. It was the Democrat Party that gave us the Jim Crow laws that harmed blacks. It was the Democrat Party that resisted ending slavery and has enslaved blacks to the modern plantation of dependence on government.
All the images (save one which is Donald Trump and the Obama birth certificate which is not racist) are of things that happened because of Democrats and the Democrat in the election is using them as a weapon against a Republican, a person in the party that was formed to end slavery and that introduced and supported civil rights legislation.
Anthony Brown is desperate. The last desperate act of liberals is to play the race card and the Democrats have just played it in Maryland.
Let us hope that like the boy who cried wolf one too many times the voters in Maryland can see this false claim for what it is and ignore it.
Put a Republican in office to turn the state around.
God knows the decades long stranglehold Democrats have had on the state has not produced anything.
Particularly for the black population that remains enslaved (by Democrat design) to an oppressive government.

Total Indoctrination

Progressives have been slowly changing the paradigm of how the nation works and they use propaganda to influence people. Simply stated, they indoctrinate people. While this has been a slow process that took baby steps over the decades we are now in full bore overload. Society is bombarded with propaganda and the educational system has jumped in with both feet to rapidly accelerate the process of indoctrinating our children.
For decades government programs have been introduced and they have been given great names and described as great causes to help people (or, the granddaddy of them all, to help the children). Social Security was passed off as a safety net to help people save for their retirement. It only cost a little and the amount taken would stay small. Your money would be there for you when you retire so you can enjoy life after work.
Ditto with Medicare.
How could people object to such a program? A little each paycheck gets set aside and when they retire, bam, they have money. The money paid into Medicaid will ensure they have health care in their Golden Years.
The reality is these programs were designed to enslave people by making them dependent on government. People did not save as much because they would get a Social Security check. People always figured that money would be there for them. Now the money is gone because government confiscated it and spent it on pet projects. The only way to get it back is to borrow money or raise taxes (or some combination of both). No matter the choice, we have to eventually pay for it. What this means is we pay for this program at least twice.
The people who are (or will soon be) on Social Security are enslaved and held hostage. The parade of horrors is presented and people do not like it. They are afraid that their money, the money they rely on, will not be there so they pressure politicians to raise taxes on producers to cover their current needs. They really don’t care how those working will be affected because they are only concerned about getting their check now. They are held hostage by government and used as pawns to advance an agenda.
The tax system originally did not include taxes on income the way it is done now. The government took care of that by getting an Amendment passed that allowed them to tax all sources without apportionment. Then government devised a scheme that takes a little of your money each pay for taxes. That way you will not see how much of your money they get. The system is further set up to redistribute wealth by sending tax refunds to those who paid little or no taxes. Couple that with people who get refunds and think they are getting money from the government and the indoctrination is successful. The evil rich are continually attacked and the people who pay no taxes are in line to get hand outs or get returns they do not deserve. Just keep my money coming.
If EVERY wage earner paid income taxes and if we were all required to write one big check each year things would change fast. But folks have been slowly trained to accept the current scheme so that they think it is no big deal. If you are not paying any taxes you think the world is grand.
The indoctrination continues with the erosion of the Constitution. The 14th Amendment was never supposed to give citizenship to babies born of people who are here illegally. But the practice has been too use that Amendment as if it did and then give citizenship to babies born of illegals and then pay the families all the wonderful government hand outs. People have learned to accept that scheme because government indoctrinated them with lies and laws that circumvent or ignore our Constitution.
The Second Amendment is under attack. It has been for decades and the attacks of the past have been slow and incremental. Push one law here, one requirement there and people will not object too much. Use tragedies to introduce some new infringing law and get support of the uneducated who are slaves to government.
The process has progressed rapidly here of late. The progressives have invented a term to describe a rifle and that term is “Assault Weapon.” Assault is an action and people take actions. A firearm cannot be an assault weapon any more than a fork can be an assault fork. Both items can be used by a person to assault someone but neither can assault anyone. But that term is used freely by the left so as to instill fear in people and make them want to ban such firearms.
The people are indoctrinated into the progressive belief that these firearms are bad and no one really needs them. The progressives lie about the Second Amendment to further indoctrinate the uneducated and low information people so that they will oppose these firearms. The goal of progressives is to disarm people so they can be controlled. The progressives use indoctrinated people to help in this goal.
It has been accelerated now under Common Core. Our children are being taught that the Second Amendment allows people to own firearms ONLY if they have government permission, are part of a militia and register them.
The Second Amendment says no such thing and any historical analysis of that Amendment will not show these to be true. In fact, the exact opposite is true. BUT, if the progressives in education can make our children believe these lies they will grow up believing that they do not have the right to keep and bear arms unless they meet criteria determined by government. In a few generations adults will come from the indoctrinated youth who were lied to in order to push an agenda of control.
[note]Teach children that homosexual behavior is normal and that marriage does not mean between one man and one woman and they grow up believing that it is perfectly normal for there to be two daddies or mommies and that the traditional family is obsolete. Indoctrination is then successful and society crumbles a little more.
Religion is another area where progressives are indoctrinating our children. The progressives continue to fight to get all aspects of religion, particularly Christian religion, stricken from society. Teachers attack children who pray or express their beliefs. Tell people often enough that religion is not allowed in government and they will believe it. The phrase Separation of Church and State is a prime example of indoctrination. People believe that phrase is part of the Constitution because they have been told that it was over and over again.[/note]
The State of Maryland had a situation yesterday at a university. An Active Shooter alert was sent out telling students and faculty to shelter in place (cower in place). This was done because someone reported seeing a person with a gun. How can a person with a gun be an ACTIVE SHOOTER if that person is not, ACTIVELY SHOOTING? No one reported shots. It was only reported that someone thought they saw a person with a gun.
Turns out there were two youngsters with BB guns (which are not firearms). They were not active shooters.
But by calling it this the university creates the impression that someone with a gun is an active shooter even if that person is not shooting. We get to a point where people are no longer allowed to display any kind of firearm because they will then be an active shooter. The indoctrination is successful in changing a definition and pushing toward getting rid of active shooters by getting rid of guns because any ownership of the gun makes one an active shooter.
There are plenty of other examples each day from unemployment numbers to Obamacare numbers. The lies about the numbers in each case are designed to indoctrinate people into the belief that what government is doing is working. The fact that the economy remains in the toilet and that the real unemployment numbers demonstrate complete failure are hidden under the rug to push that agenda. Get enough people to believe you are doing a good job and they will keep putting you and others like you in office.
We hear how 7 million people have allegedly signed up for Obamacare. The progressives tout this as a major accomplishment and say it proves Obamacare is working great and that people want it. The real story is not told. No one knows how many of those who signed up actually paid their premiums. No one knows how many of them were placed into Medicaid (welfare taxpayers foot the bill for) and no one ever discusses the reality that even if all 7 million paid in to real plans it is still failure.
You see, Obamacare caused 6 million people to lose their health insurance so at best there is a 1 million net gain. No one is discussing how many healthy young people are part of this group because they are not flocking to sign up. The entire mess is a failure but progressives hide the facts to fool the uneducated and to enslave people to government. Once the plan is in full force it will never be repealed and the progressives know that.
Obamacare will eventually get to where Social Security is. It will cost too much and be unsustainable but it will have enslaved so many people they, like the elderly, will be enslaved and held hostage by a government program.
Do not allow yourself and your children to be indoctrinated. Do not believe what government tells you. Government is not there to make your life easier or to provide for you. All governments eventually enslave their people and abuse them.
We have a whole lot of people who are already on the plantation and will have many more if we do not stay vigilant. Teach your children to reject the lies. teach them the truth.
Better yet, send them to private schools or home school them.
Our country’s future depends on free thinking people who are not mind numbed drones indoctrinated by the elitists.
Push back. The most powerful weapon in the world is knowledge. They can never take that away and they fear well informed people. Yes, firearms and the Second Amendment are important but the firearm is the tool. The person is the weapon and a knowledgeable person is the most dangerous weapon of all.

Obamacare Is The Law

This is the mantra we have heard from the left, a left that is employing all the Rules for Radicals in an effort to demonize people opposed to government intrusion into our lives. Liberals have called Tea Party members tea baggers, terrorists, radicals and anarchists in an effort to paint them as a fringe that must be ignored.
The true terrorists are the members of the government who impose things on us designed to take away or freedoms.
We have heard the left tell us that Obamacare is the law as if this means that it cannot be stopped or overturned. We have heard the brain damaged Harry Reid tell us that the opposition comes from people who can’t come to terms with the fact that Obamacare is the law and that the Supreme Court upheld it.
It is the law is NOT a valid reason to oppose an item or to work to have it changed. The left would have you believe that because this is the law that is the end of the story and nothing can or should be done to change it, period. We made a law and you have to follow it and since it is a law you have to follow it and it cannot be changed or revoked.
Really?
Slavery was once the law of the land. Separate but equal (Jim Crow laws) was once the law of the land.
These were all changed. The funny thing is that when people were working to change them Democrats acted as if they could not be changed because they were the law.
If we applied the same logic then that liberals like Reid are employing now then Obama would be a slave someplace or he would be required to eat at a different lunch counter.
These laws were all changed so for Reid to indicate that Obamacare is the law and that is that is disingenuous at best.
But let us look at something in the here and now.
Along with the Continuing Resolution the Congress must address the debt ceiling. The US has hit the statutory limit of how much it is allowed to spend. The claim is we will hit it in October but we already hit it and they are using gimmicks to keep us afloat.
BUT, the debt ceiling is a law. So, we can now tell Harry Reid and his sock puppets that the debt ceiling is the law and can’t be changed. We will be using their words against them and that will be a valid reason NOT to raise the limit.
If they want to claim that we can’t change something because it is the law then we need to hold firm on the debt ceiling because it is the law.
Ball is in your court Harry. I expect you will fetch it and take it to Obama while you sit at his feet but it is your ball nonetheless.

Chris Dumb As A Rock

There is this comedian named Chris Rock. Perhaps you have heard of him. He is a black fellow who rants about white people and some think that is funny. I don’t think he is very funny though some of the things he says are humorous. The bottom line is that 90% of his schtick is a rant about how white people have it great and the poor black guy blah blah.
Only in America, where we have elected the first half black president, could a black comedian who makes millions of dollars cry about how bad the brothers have it. I mean, if it is that bad why doesn’t Rock part with some of his money and help a brother out?
In any event, Dumb as a Rock joined in with a bunch of America haters to ridicule the Fourth of July. There are various tweets about how America sucks and how it is a bad nation and how this and that, you know typical liberal blame America stuff. The kind of stuff you would hear Obama say when he apologizes for this nation.
Many of the tweets were about the nation celebrating independence when blacks were slaves and not independent at the time the Declaration was signed (not all blacks were slaves so some were free but the tweeters failed to make that distinction).
Rock joined the chorus with this tweet:
Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren’t free but I’m sure they enjoyed fireworks
I am going to help Dumb as a Rock out here. White people were free before Independence Day. White people were free and some blacks were free while others were brought here by other blacks and sold as slaves.
The American Independence had nothing to do with any individual being free, it had to do with our NATION leaving British rule. Yes Chris, the country was unhappy with how King George was doing things so we told him that our country wished to sever our ties and become a separate and distinct nation with our own rule. The whole thing had absolutely nothing to do with one class of people or another being free because white people were already free.
I am sick and tired of people whining about slavery. It was a bad thing and I can’t understand why any person would own another human being but that was the custom of the time and no matter how we feel about it now there is nothing we can do to change the past. Every person who was held as a slave in this country has long ago died and every slave owner has died as well.
There are no more slaves or slave owners except, of course, the minorities owned by the Democrats. Those folks are kept on the liberal plantation and told how to live their lives. But in that case they entered slavery willingly.
This is the year 2012. We have black members of Congress, a black man on the Supreme Court and a half black guy in the White House. There are black entertainers, sports figures and businessmen and they make good money and contribute to society. There are plenty more hard working blue collar black folks who are free to live life as they wish. This is all good and it is high time we stopped with all the howling over slavery. It happened, it ended and it was a long time ago. Let’s move on or as Obama might say, move forward [comrades].
Interestingly enough, the very people who bemoan slavery and white America are the same people who are the most evil racists. Look at how people of all colors on the left treated Herman Cain. Look how they treated Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas.
Celebrate Independence that we got as a nation and celebrate the freedom that comes from those brave white guys who Rock and the other morons so easily dismiss. Or, don’t celebrate if you don’t want to. The evil white guys ensured you were free to do that as well.
I know that the things that happened when we achieved Independence gave us a recognition that we have a right to free speech. Those very white guys Rock hates so much left a gift that he uses to bash the very people who provided it. In other nations Rock would be put to death for his words. Here in America he can say them and some folks can agree with him and others can disagree. I am exercising the same right to tell you what a moron Chris Rock is.
Yes Chris, slavery was a bad thing and it was a horrible way to treat human beings. But look on the bright side Chris. You never had to go through it but because some black folks in Africa captured other black folks and sold them to America your ancestors arrived here and you were created long after slavery ended.
If they had never been brought here you might have been born in Africa.
Then maybe you could have lived in a shack next to Obama’s brother.

How Much Of The Constitution Should They Have Read?

The US Constitution is a contract between the government and those governed. It delineates the powers that We the People allow our government to have. It is the law of the land and it is unique in the history of the world.
The House of Representatives opened with a reading of the US Constitution. The Republicans chose to have read the current document leaving out the items that had been changed. This upset liberals and among them was Jesse Jackson, Jr. who believes that reading the current, amended Constitution, glossed over history, particularly the part that dealt with slavery.
While the Constitution does not mention slavery (in the original document) there is no doubt it was addressed. Article 1, Section 2 discusses representation and how people are counted. In it, there is the three-fifths clause. The document says that the number of people will be determined by adding to the whole number of free persons, including those bound to service for a term of years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three-fifths of all other persons.
Notice that it does not say slaves but there is no doubt, and history supports the fact, that the three-fifths applied to them. This part was changed by Section 2 of the Fourteenth Amendment.
According to Jackson, not reading this clause shows that the Republicans glossed over the racist part of the document where slaves were only considered to be three-fifths of a human.
Of course the clause does not make slaves three-fifths of a person. It was a method to count the census and determine how Representatives would be apportioned. It was made this way as a method to end slavery and not to mark slaves as less than a full human.
Slave owners wanted all slaves counted so that they would have greater representation in Congress. If all the slaves were counted, the southern slave owners would have many more members in the House and any efforts to end slavery would have been defeated based on the numbers. By reducing the population, the Founders were able to reduce the number of Representatives from the slave states. This was a balance between those who wanted no slaves counted (because they could not vote) and those who wanted all of them counted so they would have greater numbers of Representatives.
It is important to note that the three-fifths number is from an earlier attempt to organize when the Articles of Confederation were being revised. The slave owners did not want any of their slaves counted when it came to taxing because they would have had to pay more taxes. At that time the three-fifths rule was a compromise agreed upon though the measure eventually failed.
When it came time to compromise on the population used to determine representation, the three-fifths rule was a method that had previously been agreed to so it was inserted to gain passage of the Constitution and to limit the number of Representatives from slave owning states.
Glenn Beck has mentioned that our Constitution is a great document because the Founders gave us a way to change or add to it. This allows us to correct injustices and to add things necessary to run our country. The beauty is that we leave the changed parts in the document so that anyone reading it at anytime can see what we did and how we changed. The three-fifths clause changed because of the Fourteenth Amendment just like the Twenty-First Amendment changed the Eighteenth. The beauty is that both of the changed parts remain but are superseded by newer parts.
Beck thinks that the entire document should have been read to show our scars and how we advanced. Jackson thinks we should have read it in its entirety as well though his reason is to show the racist part of the Constitution. The reality though, is that Jackson is incorrect because Article 1, Section 2 was not racist. It was merely a method to count people or representation and to limit the power of slave owners. If he took the time to learn he would see that this was a brilliant move to eventually end slavery.
I do not disagree with Beck or Jackson about reading the entire thing if the purpose of the exercise was an educational one. Then each section could be read and people could see why we did what we did and how it was changed.
But the reading in the House was designed to present the document in its current form, the form in which we must apply it. The Republicans were simply reading the rules as they now apply.
The Founders wanted to end slavery and they worked on that. Yes, it is true some of them were slave owners but about 70% of those who signed the Declaration of Independence were not slave owners and most of our Founders released their slaves.
George Washington’s will freed his slaves upon the death of his wife, Martha, and provided for the care and education of their children until the age of 25 out of funds from his estate.
As an educational tool the Constitution should be read in its entirety so that people can understand our history.
But for the exercise that took place in the House the only parts that needed to be read are those that currently apply because it is those to which we will hold our members of Congress accountable.
UPDATE: The usual suspects are upset. Seems they want to take the country back to slavery.
