Obama Is No Ronald Reagan

Lately it seems that Obama and his handlers are working on an image that paints ole’ Barry as Ronald Reagan incarnate. Obama was reading a book about Reagan (after getting his rear handed to him in the midterm elections) and there have been several references equating the two men.

Obama himself made a vague reference that compared him to Ronald Reagan. During a ceremony for Robert “Gagdad Bob” Gibbs in which Obama recounts a story about how he ended up wearing Gibbs’ tie, Obama described Gibbs’ action as taking one for the Gipper.

“…And, frankly, Robert didn’t want to give it up because he thought he looked really good in the tie. But eventually he was willing to take one for the gipper, and so he took off his tie, and I put it on. And that’s the tie that I wore at the national convention.” Real Clear Politics

The Gipper is the nickname that was used to refer to Reagan. The name comes from a part he played in a movie about the real life Gipper, George Gipp, a football player at Notre Dame.

Obama has been feigning toward the center since the last election and he must somehow believe that if he keeps saying he is like Reagan then people will vote for him.

To paraphrase a Democrat, I served under Ronald Reagan, I voted for Ronald Reagan, and you sir, are no Ronald Reagan.

This is more proof that Democrats know they can’t get elected by being themselves so they must act like something they are not. However, once they are in office the revert back to their roots and continue their destruction of the country.

**To be fair, Democrats are not the only ones who equate themselves to Reagan in order to garner support. Watch any Republican presidential primary and there are plenty of people trying to out-Reagan each other…

Rewriting History, Good Thing Palin Is Around

Barack Obama and his handlers are having a few issues because the surge he and Joe Biden opposed is responsible for the victory we achieved (and a victory Obama has not acknowledged). The so called smartest guys in the country got it wrong and if they had gotten their way we would be discussing a defeat (and Obama would be blaming it on Bush).

Here is an interesting point of view on the surge given to us by Robert Gibbs:

”What is certainly not up for question is that President Obama, then-candidate Obama, said that adding those 20,000 troops into Iraq would, indeed, improve the security situation, and it did.”

This is interesting indeed. First of all, when anyone in this regime says that something is not up for question it means that it is and that they are likely lying. This is a variation of Obama saying “let me be clear” or “I have always said” which are preludes to a lie that follows. It is Obama trying to play Jedi mind tricks on people. It works on the Kool Aid drinkers who lap it up and ask for more. The rest of us can see the lie a mile away.

Or as I like to put it, Stevie Wonder could see it.

While Gibbs thinks it is certainly not up for question the record is different:

“I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq are going to solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse.”

Obama was clearly not in favor of the surge and he clearly indicated that he was not persuaded that the additional troops would make things better (like improve security) and he clearly stated that he believes it will do the opposite, and create more sectarian violance (and therefore, less security).

Gibbs is playing the game because he has to tell the lies for the Socialist in the White House but the rest of us, those not under the influence of the Force, can see it.

Thanks to Sarah Palin we can all see it in writing. She jumped all over it because she knows Obama is a liar and that he will say or do anything to advance his agenda and to keep from admitting that he backed the wrong horse.

Maybe a trip to Iowa is in order.

With A Spokesperson Like This…

Robert Gibbs is the mouthpiece of the Obama regime. He is supposed to be savvy when it comes to talking with the media and is supposed to be able to spin the information to benefit the regime and garner support from the base. Gibbs is supposed to do these things but he continually steps in the bad stuff and is not particularly good at getting the message out.

Not long ago he said that the Democrats would probably lose the House. This is common thought among the pundits but the WH Spokesperson is not supposed to say that. He is supposed to tell America that with continued support from Democrats, Independents, and supporters the regime should hold onto control of the House though the fight will be tough and they will lose some seats.

Of course it is hard to say things like that when one is busy ticking off the base. Robert Gibbs said that those on the left who say Obama is continuing the policies of Bush need to be drug tested. Set aside that that group is most likely to come back positive and think about what Gibbs did. He insulted the hard core supporters of the regime and of Democrats in general. He basically called them crazy and accused them of being under the influence of mind altering substances (which anyone who voted for Obama had to be anyway). Gibbs was not gentle with his remarks and in my opinion lacked the finesse one would expect from a spokesperson. Hell, Baghdad Bob did a better job than Gibbs. We knew he was lying but he made sure he toed the party line.

The problem with Gibbs is the same that we see with many in the regime, he is thin skinned. The people in this regime have their feelings hurt each time someone breaks wind, they hold grudges (Rangel and Waters supported Hillary…) and they whine and attack over the smallest things. George Bush was a hell of a lot more man than any of this bunch.

Gibbs allowed his thin skin to crawl with what has been said by the regime’s faithful and he insulted them. If you are losing your base or they are upset and telling you so then it is probably best to listen to them.

Gibbs did not do the regime any favors. While Democrats, under instructions from the White House, are ducking the health care takeover law, the financial reform law and other things people are not happy about and instead talking about the economy (which they have destroyed) just to try and get elected Gibbs is out there hurting their chances.

It is unlikely that he party faithful will change parties or vote Republican (some people cannot be saved) but they could very well stay home on election day. The Democrats have lost Independents and swing voters so they can ill afford to lose their base.

If the base stays home on election day, particularly in red areas, the result is the same as if they voted for the other side.

With a spokesperson like Gibbs, does Obama need any enemies?

Nero Fiddled, Obama Golfs

I will say one thing for Barack Obama, he is dedicated to his golf game. That is about the only thing he works on with any regularity. The country is in bad shape, the economy is in the dumper, the Gulf oil spill is still spewing gallon upon gallon of oil and Obama plays golf.

Here it is July 12th which is 12 days later than the date we were told that BP would be sucking up 90% of the leaking oil. On June 15th, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that there was a strategy that BP was pursuing “at the behest of the government” and that it would contain 90% of the oil by the end of June.

In other words, the White House told us that it had a plan and that it told BP to carry out this plan and that the plan would result in 90% of the oil being removed and that it would be accomplished by the end of June.

So here we are, half way through July, and the oil is not 90% contained. Obama and his regime are unengaged as Obama plays golf while his VP, Joe BiteMe goes on the Leno show.

People in the Gulf are losing their money, their businesses and their hope as well as the place they live and Obama appears unconcerned and unable to mount any effective response.

This should settle once and for all this Obama notion that government is the answer to everything and that government does it best. Our government has, according to Obama, been engaged since day one and it has failed to have any impact. From not having the proper equipment to refusing assistance that was offered by countries that know what they are doing, this regime has blown it.

Instead of fixing things the regime is interested in lawsuits and legal action.

Arizona asks for the US Army on the border (in the form of the National Guard) and instead it gets an army of lawyers filing suit against Arizona. The Gulf needs its livelihood (oil drilling) to continue but Obama has put a moratorium on drilling and is prepared to ignore a judge’s ruling overturning the moratorium.

Meanwhile, oil rigs are leaving the Gulf and won’t be back any time soon.

Things are going to hell in a hand basket and Obama fiddles on the golf course.

And when he is not doing that he is at fundraisers.

Nero had nothing on this guy…

Never surrender, never submit.

The Well Educated First Lady

Sarah Palin spoke at a Tea Party convention this past week and the left went nuts over the fact that she wrote a few notes on her hand. Those who brought us the vulgarity of teabagger started taking about Sara Palin’s hand job.

Classy Bunch, the left.

Palin also attacked the man boy in the White House and took him to task. Naturally, Obama being the metrosexual that he is, was defended by his wife. While discussing how wonderful her hubby is Michelle Obama, the well educated and smartest of the smart, said this:

I think my husband has done a phenomenal job staying on course, looking his critics in the eye, coming up with clear solutions against staying the course. [emphasis mine]

Michelle Obama said her husband has done a phenomenal job of staying on course and then said he had clear solutions against staying the course.

I do not have an Ivy League education but I can certainly see that this makes no sense whatsoever. In an effort to defend her hubby, Michelle told us that he did two completely opposite things.

I know that Barack Obama has taken some heat because he has to use a teleprompter to go to the bathroom and turn about is fair play so it is no big deal that the left mocked Palin for writing notes on her hand. It is worthy to note however, that she did NOT use a teleprompter when she delivered her speech.

[note]Someone wrote a funny bit and described the notes on Palin’s hand as a Redneck teleprompter.[/note]

I know the left likes to portray Palin as stupid and empty headed and the notes on her hand only gave them fodder (even the moron Gibbs who can’t complete a sentence mocked her) so it was not surprising that Michelle Obama, the smart woman in the crowd, had to come out to address Palin’s attack on the man boy.

But given how completely stupid and moronic Michelle Obama’s statement was, perhaps she should have written a few notes on her on hand.

Maybe she learned to speak from John Kerry who was for it before he was against it…

I also wonder if the press “corpse” will point out Michelle’s stupidity.
