Zimmerman Can’t Mind His Own Business

George Zimmerman is back in the news just a few weeks after he was found not guilty of murder. Zimmerman helped rescue four people from an SUV that had overturned after an accident. Zimmerman and another person helped a couple and their two children out of the vehicle before the police arrived.

It is reported that Zimmerman did not see the accident happen.

I guess this guy does not know how to mind his own business and for that, I am sure the people in the SUV are happy. Imagine how they might have ended up if Zimmerman was in jail instead of free or perhaps had been murdered by the racist thugs out for his head.

How long will it be before the left starts squawking about Zimmerman?

Zimmerman was following that truck through the neighborhood…

Zimmerman is a racist because the truck was a truck of color…

Zimmerman caused that accident because he was profiling that truck…

Zimmerman is a wanna-be-cop who was in a high speed pursuit…

How long will it be before Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson demand Zimmerman be arrested for the incident?

We all know that SUV was a good SUV that had never been in any trouble and was only out for Skittles and Iced Tea when George Zimmerman showed up and caused it to wreck.

It would be priceless if the people in that truck were black.

Just sayin’

GM To Taxpayers; Thanks, Now Bend Over

General Motors received a lot of money from the US taxpayer under both George Bush and Barack Obama. Despite Obama’s claims (and his fuzzy math) about car companies paying back the money, they still owe the taxpayer billions of dollars that we will likely never see. GM CEO Dan Akerson said he was grateful that the government rescued GM but wants the government out of the company in the next 6 to 12 months. Newsflash for Mr. Akerson, the government did not rescue your company, the taxpayer did through coercive tax policies that allow the government, under threat of force, to extract money from people who earn it and spend it on companies like yours. Companies that are poorly managed and spend unwisely. The taxpayer was forced to rescue your company because it was mismanaged and we had no say in the matter.

How does Mr. Akerson want to repay the taxpayer who rescued his company? He is in favor of raising the federal gas tax by as much as a dollar a gallon in order to compel people to buy more fuel efficient cars. GM just happens to make a few models of fuel efficient cars so his company will benefit from the tax increase (at least that is what he wants). What we have here is a company that was bailed out by people who are having trouble making ends meet wanting to screw those very people.

No good deed (if anyone would call bailing out a company a good deed) goes unpunished.

How are people who are having trouble making ends meet supposed to buy a new car? How will forcing them to pay more for fuel make their lives any easier when they can’t afford a new, fuel efficient car but will be forced to pay the higher fuel tax for the fuel consumed by their older cars? This takes into consideration that people still have cars in the first place. Most who still have them are probably still paying for them so they will be severely underwater if they trade in for a fuel efficient car. Those cars can run about 40,000 dollars. Those who have paid off their cars will likely pay the fuel tax rather than go into debt to save at the pump.

And what about people who have no use for the little boxes of fuel efficiency? What about those who must have SUVs and pick-up trucks? Some of us must report to work no matter what so my Jeep is a better option than a car that will not make it in the snow. When that little car can get me to work in the snow and haul 800 pounds of stuff then I will consider it. The people who must have the larger vehicles will end up paying more at the pump.

This is a fine thank you to the American taxpayer for rescuing GM. Mr. Akerson.

How about the next time you need money we just say no?

Better yet, how about we decide not to buy GM vehicles?

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Why All The Fuss Over A Dog?

The world has a billion different problems happening at the same time and the only thing the media can obsess over is the dog the Obamas are getting (or have gotten). Ever since candidate Obama promised his girls they could have a dog after the campaign this seems to be the only thing I hear about.

What kind will they get? When are they getting it? Who will walk it? And on and on as if this dog were the only concern in the world. The media is acting like no one has ever gotten a dog. I know Bush had a dog and the media liked to discuss him but it never seemed to be in a friendly manner.

Regardless, this is a dog. My God I am tired of hearing about it. Now we have the media asking if it is a rescued dog as the Obamas promised during the campaign. No it is not but does it surprise anyone? This guy has not kept many promises and why would he want a mutt when he can get a pure bred to match the pedigree lifestyle of being The Won? Anyway, one of his daughters has allergies so they had to be careful what kind they got. Don’t let them parse words though, it is not a rescue but it was not a good fit with the first owner so they are saying it is a semi rescue. No, it is an expensive, well bred dog. And that’s OK, just say so. Besides, his daughter should come first and if she has allergies they need to see to that before all else.

The animal that has garnered so much attention from the adoring media is a gift from the Kennedys and the girls named him Bo (as in Bo Diddley). Convenient how BO are daddy’s initials… Here is what the article said about the dog, since everyone seems so interested:

Bo’s breeders happen to have bred Sen. Edward Kennedy’s Portuguese water dogs. The Massachusetts Democrat, an Obama friend and political ally, also acquired a pup from Bo’s litter. Bo’s breeders are fans of Obama and named Bo’s litter the Hope and Change litter.

—Bo’s first owner lives in Washington.

—Bo was returned to the breeder in early March, fitting the spring timeline the Obamas had given for their dog adoption.

—Kennedy and his wife Victoria helped line Bo up with the Obamas. Before moving into the White House, the pup spent nearly a month with the Kennedys’ dog trainer in Virginia.

In fact, Bo is a gift to the Obamas’ daughters, Malia and Sasha, from the Kennedys, said Katie McCormick Lelyveld, a spokeswoman for Michelle Obama.

I hope these girls enjoy the dog and it gives them much happiness. I think it was nice of the Kennedys to give it as a gift and I am sure the girls will appreciate it. I only hope that the dog lives a life of obscurity so we won’t have to hear about it all the time. Here is a little help for the media:

  • Pirates
  • Economy
  • Record Deficit
  • Inflation
  • War on Terror (I don’t care what he calls it)
  • Corruption in the Justice Department
  • Obamas broken campaign promises
  • iPods for the Queen
  • Official gifts of DVDs
  • Bowing to a King

MSM, there are plenty of things to report on so please spare us any more of the mind numbing, eye glazing dog stories.

I have to admit though, it is interesting the dog is a Portuguese water dog. I mean, how ironic is it that Kennedy would give a dog that is known for its ability to swim and retrieve things from the water?

If only he had one of these dogs with him on the night of July 18, 1969…
