Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste

Today, Barack Obama declared the H1N1 flu outbreak a national emergency.

The White House on Saturday said Obama signed a proclamation that would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements. Officials described the move as similar to a declaration ahead of a hurricane making landfall. Yahoo News

When a hurricane is about to make landfall we know what can happen and we can mobilize resources like FEMA, the Red Cross and other organizations that can help. What, specifically, can we mobilize with a flu outbreak. How does declaring this a national emergency equate to a hurricane?

The declaration allows medical OFFICIALS to bypass certain federal regulations. Notice it does not say doctors or health care providers, but officials. What officials? What federal regulations will they be allowed to bypass? Will they now be allowed to get lists of people who refused the vaccine? Will they be allowed to circumvent HIPAA and other privacy regulations in order to get information? Will they be able to FORCE people to get the vaccine?

What, specifically, will this declaration allow these unspecified officials to do?

Rahm Emanuel said that they should not allow a crisis to go to waste. Obviously, a crisis needs to exist before they can run roughshod over the country so is this declaration the manufactured crisis that allows government to enact rules and ignore our rights in order for the Obama Reich to do what it wants?

Yes, there have been deaths from the Swine flu and the numbers given include those who died in the Spring. What is the death rate, the infection rate and the recovery time of those who are getting it now and how does it compare with the normal seasonal flu which kills about 36,000 people per year?

If ObaMao has a good reason for declaring this emergency then he needs to elaborate and tell us exactly why it is an emergency and what federal regulations may be bypassed.

He also needs to tell us exactly who these officials are and what they will be doing.

Be very weary of these kinds of declared emergencies. This is not like a hurricane. The only thing FEMA could possibly do if activated at this point in time is to send health care professionals with vaccine to administer it. FEMA could possibly provide other services in the event of widespread death (set up morgues) but they could do little to curb the outbreak or make it less severe.

Seems to me that we have plenty of health care professionals who can give the vaccine. The issue right now is the shortage and problems with distribution which rest on the shoulders of the government.

What is behind this and what does he plan to do?

If these medical officials start making decisions that affect us then it is further proof that government, and not you and your doctor, will make decisions that affect you with regard to your health.

They Will Try To Take Your Guns

The Obama administration and the Democrats following him do not like the Second Amendment. They refuse to follow it and it takes lawsuits before they pay attention and even then they disagree with the rulings. The state of Maryland infringes on the rights of gun owners by putting a number of barriers in place to prevent people (who are not well connected) from carrying a firearm. At the federal level, it will not be long before the Obamatrons use the crisis to confiscate guns.

The Socialists at the Brady Campaign for Gun Control want guns taken from law abiding citizens. They think guns are the problem when thinking people know that criminals do not obey laws. Criminals have guns now and they are not allowed but the morons at Brady do not understand. They want to impose Socialism on the citizens of the US and the way to do that is to disarm people.

That is the task of Obama and the rest of the radical left. They can’t do it outright so they will do an end around. They can claim that George Bush shredded the Constitution but they are the ones who are working around it. Case in point, Rahm the Ballerina Emanuel thinks that people on the No Fly list should be denied the right to buy a gun. According to Emanuel, if you are on that list of terrorists then you are equal to them and do not have the right to buy a gun. How many people have been added to that list by mistake? It seems to me that Ted Kennedy was on it at one time. Does that mean Kennedy cannot drive a car (his weapon of choice)?

The end run involves the no fly list. What would stop the anti gunners in the Obama government from adding people to that list to keep them from obtaining guns? They would be within the law and “not” violating anyone’s rights even though that would be the intent. I would not put this past them because they will do whatever it takes to ban guns in this country. It will be a much safer America if all guns are banned. Look at how safe Obama’s and Emanuel’s Chicago is with their stringent gun laws. Yep, no murders there….

Here is what Rahm had to say about the No Fly list and guns:

All the signs are there. They want Socialism and in order to do that they must disarm us. The reason we have a Second Amendment is because our Founders knew about the tyranny of government. As long as we have guns we cannot be enslaved. But they will try. HR 45 that Bobby Rush introduced, an Attorney General who does not believe in individual rights to own firearms, and Emanuel and his No Fly List end around.

Buy guns and ammo.

If Dr. Joan is right about evolution (no science to support it but…) then the fittest need to survive.

Now That He’s Elected They Will Cover Scandals

All during the campaign, from the primaries to the general election, Barack Obama was plagued with one scandal after another. The issues were legitimate and they were worthy of mention but they were dismissed by the left and its media wing as nothing. The idiots at the Daily Kos and assorted other Democratic mouthpieces, the very same groups who see scandal every time George Bush passes gas, remained silent or attributed the revelations to a right wing smear job. Of course, most of the “smear” came from Democrats during their primary.

Now that the media have ensured that Obama was elected they are now free to investigate scandals and they are, to their own amazement, finding that Obama had questionable associations. Imagine that? The governor of Illinois has been arrested in a scandal that might have long reaching arms and involve Jesse Jackson Jr as well as various members of Obama’s dream team and the media are suddenly interested in particulars (but not too many).

Rahm Emanuel is one such member and things are looking bleak for him. The so called heavy weight with the foul mouth and the mean temper has been reduced to hiding in his home and sneaking out to work because he is likely smack dab in the middle of the corruption.

When the story about Governor Blagojevich broke Barack Obama expressed his surprise and disappointment and indicated that this was the first that he had heard of the pay for play scheme. He assured us that none of his people were involved in the “sale” of his Senate seat. Looks like Obama might have been a bit premature in his assessment because it is now reported that Emanuel was recorded discussing the Senate seat.

As of now there is no indication that he was involved in any of the illegal activities. The recording of him has not been released so we don’t know what was discussed but we do know that the fact he was discussing the matter is contrary to what Obama said about the issue. Obama’s statement that he had not spoken or met with the governor has also been shown to be false because there are pictures of the two together.

Obama and his team are in the middle of a scandal and they have circled the wagons. They are not discussing much, if anything at all, with the media. The man who would bring transparency to government has closed ranks and is anything but transparent. Obama has also shown that he is not above politics as usual and that his rhetoric about reforming DC was nothing more than campaign promises he never intended to keep. How could he bring a new brand of politics when he is a Chicago politician and, as seen in the Blagojevich scandal, there is nothing new or clean bout that?

Perhaps Obama should have made Hillary Clinton his Chief of Staff. She has many years experience covering up scandals. Obama is a babe in the woods when compared to the Clintons.

Then again, it was the Clinton kind of politics that Obama promised to get rid of.

What a difference an election makes

Prior to the election Obama could murder babies in Times Square and the media would ignore it. They would rationalize his acts and the Daily Kos would attribute it to a Right Wing Conspiracy and blame it on Bush.

Well moonbats, Bush had nothing to do with this. All the scandal, all the attention, and all the dirt is on your guy. George Bush had nothing to do with it though I bet he is getting a bit of a chuckle out of seeing the anointed One get the third degree.

Bush probably finds some humor in the fact that when the Plame issue was being investigated the left was in full attack mode and convicting people before they ever had a trial. Despite his insistence that he was not aware of what had taken place and who “leaked” Plame’s so called secret identity, he was branded a liar. The left was calling for investigations day after day and Bush’s people were the object of ridicule.

Now, one of Obama’s people (at least) is right in the thick of an investigation and the left is not calling for him to be frog marched out in chains. They are not calling Obama a liar because he denied knowledge and they are defending him. Why, he is a victim here. Someone did something to make him look bad or bring discredit upon him. He is getting consideration that George Bush never got.

Did Obama know anything? Who knows? However, he came from the crooked politics of Illinois and he has used questionable tactics and had questionable associations in the past so it is not beyond reason that he is involved.

However, given Obama’s past, it is likely that he sent surrogates to do the dirty work so he could stay “clean” should the deification hit the cooling device.

How long will it be before Rahm Emanuel joins the many others located under the bus?

Regardless of what happens, this scandal will no doubt haunt and hinder Obama for some time to come.

Maybe if it gets bad enough he will show that Birth Certificate so that he does not have to take office…
