Obama Misleads On Job Numbers

Obama numbers

Obama by the numbers

Surprise!! The Democrats are lying.

In the last month and particularly last night, the left has been throwing out the number 4.5 MILLION. The Obama regime and its surrogates keep telling people that 4.5 million jobs have been created by Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm). This is a lie. When Obama took office there were 111 million private sector jobs in this country and in July 2012 (the last month of available numbers) the number was 111.3 million. This means that the net gain over the entire time Obama has been in office is 300,000.

The job numbers are a complicated mix of different sectors and different reports. The private sector had a net gain of 300,000 and the public sector has been losing jobs (1 million lost despite bailouts from the Obama clan). As CNN concludes:

The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession.

Additionally, the jobs that are trickling in are not like those we lost. Low wage jobs like food service and retail sales are being added nearly three times as fast as higher-paid occupations. [From linked article]

The truth is that the so called recovery has been the slowest on record and that people are still hurting. There are fewer people working, the work pool is shrinking, millions more are on food stamps and people continue to lose their homes while the cost of everything continues to rise.

Obama has been an abysmal failure. He told us that he could fix it in one term or he would be a one term president.

Now he wants you to vote for him again because he did not complete the job. Poor Barry needs more time.

What makes anyone think he will be able to fix it in two terms when he failed to fix it in one despite his assurances that he could?

Ask yourself; are you better off now than you were four years ago? The only people who are better off are Obama and his friends. The Obamas travel around on vacation and he plays endless rounds of golf at our expense while Obama’s friends continue to get huge sums of taxpayer money.

They are better off at our expense.

We, on the other hand, are doing much worse and will continue to sink until we fire Obama and his band of liars and thieves.

We Definitely Need Campaign Reform

I know that all presidents have done it and I have never liked it so this is not a partisan position but will seem so because Obama happens to be the one abusing things right now. That thing that bothers me is where a president combines an allegedly official visit with a campaign visit so that the taxpayer gets stuck with a portion of the bill.

I am not the only one who thinks this is wrong as Democrats were all against it when George W. Bush did it and Republicans are against it now that Obama is doing it. The difference is, my position does not change based on who is in office.

It is absolutely criminal that taxpayers foot the bill for a portion of a trip designed to raise campaign cash simply because an “official” stop was included.

Since Barack Obama happens to be the current occupant of the White House and since he has campaigned more than the last six presidents combined, it seems fitting to point this rape of the taxpayer out.

Obama attended a swanky fundraiser in New York (and snarled traffic) where he raised millions of dollars. One would think that a campaign that can raise millions of dollars would be able to pay the bill for the trip but part of the bill will be paid for by taxpayers because Obama stopped at the World Trade Center site.

There is no doubt that if Obama did not have two fundraisers in New York he would not have made the trip to the WTC site.

I think that all politicians should be forced to separate fundraising trips and official trips so that they cannot be done at the same time. They need to pay the full cost of their campaign events.

This means all politicians, regardless of party.

It is sickening that taxpayers foot the bill for politicians who rub elbows with wealthy donors. How disingenuous is it for Barack Obama to go to New York and discuss how he is fighting for the middle class at an event that costs more to attend than most people in the middle class make in a year? How many of the middle class were greatly inconvenienced so Obama could attend this fundraiser?

Obama is out of touch. He thinks the private sector is doing fine because the private sector he knows is the one where his well heeled contributors live and where he parties.

The country is not better off now than it was when he took office and his policies have done nothing to get the ship on course. Instead, he points fingers, lies, and spends other people’s money.

This is why it should surprise no one that he is spending taxpayer dollars to campaign.

They all do it because they all like to spend someone else’s money.

Hell, he is so used to spending other people’s money he recently forgot to pay for his meal…

Enough is enough.

Never surrender, never submit.

Biden’s Lies Are A Government Invention

Joe “Gaff-o-matic” Biden is out on the campaign trail trying to scare up votes for his party in what is looking more and more like a TEANAMI heading for November 2nd. He is out there trying to make people believe that the things they have done are great and the idea is that we need the big government agenda of Obama in order to survive. According to Joe, government is so important that it was responsible for all the great inventions of the last 200 years. Joe had this to say:

“Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive.” New York Daily News

He went on to say that Lincoln paid people to lay railroad tracks and that private sector could not do that for 35 more years. The implication being that, of course, government can do it all and is better than the private sector. The reality is that if we spend enough money on something we could get anyone to do it. Why would a private business pay to lay track when government was shelling out loads of money to do it? If it had been done by private business it would have been cheaper, better done, and not been as much a burden to the taxpayer.

But what is Joe saying? He is telling us that every great idea in the last 200 years required government vision and incentive.

Here is a list of things that have been invented in the last 100 years or so. These inventions started as someone’s idea and eventually became reality. However, none of them required government vision or incentive:

  1. The Radio
  2. The zipper
  3. The Gillette disposable razor
  4. Television
  5. penicillin
  6. The ball point pen
  7. SCUBA
  8. The airplane
  9. Bourbon
  10. Baseball
  11. The artificial heart
  12. The light bulb
  13. The computer
  14. The telephone
  15. The sewing machine
  16. The telegraph
  17. polio vaccine
  18. Air conditioning

This is but a short list of things that were a vision that became reality because of the absence of government, not the presence of it. These were invented by people who were curious or who wanted to make money, or both. Some were the result of searching for solutions to certain needs. Bell invented the telephone while working on sound with regard to the deaf (he had deaf family members). They were not taking some vision from government and then getting an incentive from government to bring the government’s vision to reality.

These people worked on their own ideas and their own visions in order to invent a product that benefited mankind. In some cases, items are invented to circumvent government oppression. NASCAR would not have come about had it not been for prohibition and the tricked out cars used to run moonshine.

As Ronald Reagan said; “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

So despite what Biden said, the great things we have were developed by people who had their own visions and who did not get incentives from government (though there are certainly things invented as a result of government intervention). About the only thing government is good at inventing are the stories its members continue to tell us. The biggest invention this week that required government vision and incentive was the lie Biden told.

One only needs read what Biden used as his example. If what he said was true then certainly he could have come up with an example that was more recent than the Civil War.

Democrats believe that government is the only entity that can do something and that we must allow it to get bigger and bigger so that it can continue doing things.

Unfortunately, most of what it does it is not supposed to do and the things it is supposed to do it does not do very well or in a cost effective manner.

But Biden wants you to vote for more of that.

Next Tuesday you get to tell Joe that the people of this country run the show. Let us wash the big government progressives out of government.

Let’s make it a TEANAMI.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.
