A Look Around

Looks like a great video here. Before the liberals get their panties in a wad, yes I know it is a parody and it is funny. This is nothing like the video of Peggy the Moocher who wanted Obama to take care of her. Watch this video and see why parody is funny (because there is an element of truth to it).

Gallup says Obama has hit a new low with 48% of the people disapproving of the job he is doing. I wonder what happened to that big bump Bubba Clinton said he would get. Remember, Clinton told Obama he had to pass health care or he would lose big. Bubba said that is why he lost so many seats when he was prez, didn’t pass health care. Bubba Clinton is not a dumb guy and has to know that this is not the truth so do you suppose he is setting Obama up for failure so Hillary can take the nomination in 2012?

Stimulus II (renamed the “Jobs Bill”) has hit a bit of a snag. The Congress cannot pay for it because Republicans and a top Democrat do not want to take “leftover” bailout (TARP?) money to pay for it.

Democrats have no money to pay for the program. That’s because both Republicans and the Democratic chairman of the Senate Budget Committee objected to taking money left over from the fund that bailed out banks, automakers and insurers and using it for the jobs bill. My Way News

This will strike a blow to Obama and his supposed concern for jobs because this is an election year and it will look like he is not doing enough to get people back to work. This would not have worked just like the first Stimulus did not work but it would have made it look like he was doing something.

Obama broke protocol on Saturday and left the White House without the press corps (or as Obama would say, CORPSE) in tow. The press was told to be there at one time and Obama left about 2 hours earlier. It was reported that he went to watch one of his daughter’s soccer game. Evidently, this is some kind of big deal because the press is supposed to be there to cover every move a president makes for the “historical” record. I don’t care if we hear about his kid’s games or them going out for ice cream but it looks like the press does. In any event, maybe we will get lucky and he will break protocol and leave the Secret Service behind and just keep walking…

That’s all for now. The question for today is; “Should Congress (our government) be allowed to make you purchase something?”

Please answer in the comment section and explain why.

Never surrender, never submit.

A Faux Texan Revealed

I ran across a story at one of the other sites I peruse, and was – well, I can’t truly say I was surprised, because I know how hypocritical liberals work- rather, I was unpleasantly reminded that even when the liberal is technically a Texan, he can still be a moron. The Texan I speak of is Don Henley, who still has a place on Caddo Lake, in East Texas, but has spent wayyyyy too much time in California, schmoozing with the People Of One Opinion. He has, in the opinion of a sixth generation Texan, lost the right to call himself a Texan. He is just too whiny- it’s embarrassing us here.

Most of Mr. Henley’s music is OK to listen to, a couple of his tracks are even enjoyable, but like most people connected to entertainment  in the Cereal State (Nuts, flakes, and the occasional fruit), he is more important to his ego than he is to real life.

A man by the name of Chuck Devore, a Republican, used the tune of the “Boys Of Summer”, a 1984 song (an oldie but moldy) written by Don Henley and Mike Campbell, whoever HE is. Mr. Devore used his own lyrics to parody the song, and as a tool in his bid to run against Sen. Barbara Boxer. Parody is, as I understand it, a protected form of Free Speech (see: Weird Al Yankovic), but Donnie Boy doesn’t like it when a conservative uses a parody of HIS song in a campaign against a liberal.

Now I could be wrong, and the laws may have changed, but I thought that a copyright existed for 20 years, and then the song was in the public domain. I  also thought I had heard that the Supreme Court had heard a case similar, actually involving a rapper, where another song was used, and was deemed to be lawful. Mr. Henley should be grateful that someone somewhere thinks that any tune of his would be good enough for a political ad- this is heady stuff, Donnie- you could use the exposure. I guess that may be why he is suing Mr. Devore, he needs the ego boost.

Mr. Henley writes a good song occasionally, but doesn’t seem to listen to what he writes, a common problem among liberals, it seems.
In one song, aptly named “Get Over It”, he writes, in part,

“Complain about the present and blame it on the past,
I’d like to find your inner child and kick its little ass-

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin’ and moanin’ and pitchin’ a fit
Get over it
Get over it

It’s gotta stop sometime, so why don’t you quit
Get over it, get over it.”

Words to live by, Donnie- get over it.

Barack The Magic Negro Congers Feigned Indignation

The Democrats are as transparent as Saran Wrap. They are the party of racists, of racial intolerance and of racial inequality and they have no problems making some of the most racist statements ever uttered but when a person on the right makes a statement that can be twisted into racism, they go nuts. There is a controversy over a song parody that is nearly two years old and the reason that it is a problem is because a Republican sent it (on a CD with a number of other parodies) to some friends.

The song, Barack the Magic Negro, is a parody of an article written by a black LA Times reporter which is best described by Larry Elder in his latest Town Hall article:

David Ehrenstein, a writer who happens to be black and liberal, wrote an opinion piece in March 2007 in the Los Angeles Times called “Obama the ‘Magic Negro.'”

He argued that whites, according to sociologists, stereotype blacks as “dangerous.” But whites consider Obama accessible, likeable and “benign.” This, according to Ehrenstein, explains Obama’s “crossover” appeal.

Notice that the article called Obama the Magic Negro (a term that refers to a fictional black character, often viewed as mystical, who arrives to get the white main character out of trouble) and notice that the original piece is denigrating to both whites and blacks. It also demonstrates the racism prevalent on the left.

The parody actually takes aim at the Times article and the racism involved. It mocks the left (not Barack Obama or black people) and pokes fun at Al Sharpton. Any time you can poke fun at Sharpton it is worth the effort.

The left gets its collective panties in a wad over a song that is almost two years old and states that it demonstrates the overt racism in the Republican party, a tag that has been skillfully applied by the left who have been able to make that lie stick.

Fortunately, not everyone takes offense. The National Black Republican Association issued a press release a few days ago in which it takes the Democrats to task over the entire issue. Larry Elder, a black guy, spells it all out in the above linked article.

It will likely make no difference to the die hard left because they see racism every time a Republican breaks wind. Unfortunately, they have been assisted by several Republicans who have had negative things to say about the issue.

This is the America we live in. The left, for eight years now, has been calling George Bush a chimp. They claim he looks like a chimp and variations of the word chimp have been liberally used all this time. A guy in Georgia says that Obama looks like Curious George and has a T Shirt printed up and it is racist. I know people like Adam will say they are different circumstances and that there is a history of racism in this country, blah, blah but the truth is, if you want to be treated like an equal we cannot have two sets of rules. That is the whole issue with affirmative action, but I digress.

I encourage you to read the linked articles from the NBRA and from Larry Elder. It might also be helpful if you read the original LAT article (linked at the NBRA).

And if it makes you liberals feel any better, I don’t think there is anything magic about Obama though I have referred to him as the magic negro in the past. I thought that was what the left wanted him to be called but then I learned it was messiah.

Lying Meatbrain Does it Again

The lying Terry Meatbrain is at it again. Terry likes to call people liars if they do not use the exact words in a quote or title or if it is within his definition of a lie. He attacks a lot of people and calls them liars even when their writing shows they made no attempt to distort the truth. Terry Meatbrain, on the other hand, loves to cherry pick and tell outright lies. He has “quoted” me as saying something when the words he accuses me of are not even in my post. But there is no lie that Terry Meatbrain will not tell. Case in point. His latest post is entitled:

Bush tells troops to go stuff it

The president never said those words.

There is no lie that Meatbrain will not tell

There is no lie that Meatbrain will not tell

There is no lie that Meatbrain will not tell

This is the same thing that Terry accused Jim Hoft of here

So Terry Meatbrain, I have a few questions:
Where exactly did the President use the words Stuff it?

When did George Bush tell the troops to stuff it using those words?

I will sit back and wait for your response liar. And when you figure there is no response because you lied, I demand that you apologize to the president.

Folks, don’t hold your breath waiting for this cretin to admit he lied or to apologize. Terry Meat brain will more than likely attack me and say I am a coward and a liar because that is what he does. This is the problem with socialist moonbats. They distort the truth and they outright lie and then they make excuses or lie about lying.

OK lying moonbat, it is your turn to explain your deceitful ways. Have at it, coward.

Author note: This post is a parody of how Meat Brain writes and attacks others (and resembles the linked post for that reason). It is designed to show that he is guilty of exactly what he accuses others. In reality, I know what he meant by the post but I am holding him to the same standard to which he holds others.

So answer up Terry…

Update: Terry is already telling people they are idiots because they asked him to show where the president said Stuff It.
