That’s Offensive

I really feel for this once great country. Indeed, this really was once the land of the free and home of the brave. And while I don’t claim that there are no brave people left, there are certainly no free people left. But the society, overall, has fallen so far and so fast that there really isn’t much hope for recovery.

Have you heard about the governor of Alabama? People are offended. Why? Because he is a Christian, and he DARED to mention his religion. After all, they claim, he’s an elected official. He shouldn’t be doing that. People are lining up to condemn him for even mentioning that he’s religious because he “represents” the state 24 hours a day. To me, it’s just amazing that first, people are offended because he didn’t put his religion on a shelf when he was elected. You see, in the real world, people ARE defined by their beliefs. I know some don’t want to admit that (mostly atheists), but it is a fact. Worse is the idea that so many people are offended by him being Christian and saying so. It just illustrates how far down into depravity that this country has progressed. If you publicly state that you are Christian, it’s now offensive.

But hey, at least he didn’t get thrown out for saying something someone else didn’t like. Don’t worry, I’m sure those who support “hate crime” laws are working hard to ensure that the next elected official who mentions the name “Jesus” will be in jail.
