Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/martin-o-malley-is-a-pompous-ass/.

I have written several times about the huge tax increase that was just passed in the state of Maryland by the tax and spend Democrats who were led by the pompous ass himself, Martin O’Malley. It is common knowledge that these idiots did this now so that we would forget about it when the next election rolls around in three years. I also informed people that O’Malley has dreams of serving in a Democratic administration in DC so he really does not care how he screws us. O’Malley, who proved he cannot lead when he was Mayor of Baltimore, was interviewed after he signed the tax increases into law. Let us look at what this dimwit had to say:

“And I’m very, very proud of them,” says Governor O’Malley. “Also know, that this would not have had happened were it not for some really courageous leadership by President Miller and Speaker Mike Busch. Both of whom had to bend and had to yield and had come together in the center in order for us to forge this consensus.”

Governor O’Malley said, for the most part, the people of the state, on both sides of the issues during the special session, handled the public discussion in a civil way.

“Even among the Republican members of this body, there was an understanding that this was a deep and serious problem,” said O’Malley in his exclusive interview with WBAL. “There were very few of them once the debate arrived who were feeding any longer that myth that this could all be accomplished by cuts alone.”

And what would he say to the strongest critics of his tax increases?

“I would say that I have yet to meet any citizen of our state, Democrat, Republican or Independent who wants to pay more in taxes,” said O’Malley. “However, none of us want to leave our state to our kids in a weaker condition than we received it ourselves.” WBAL Radio

So O’Malley thinks there was a consensus? All the Democrats voted for the tax increases and all the Republicans voted against it. The fact is, Maryland has a super majority of Democrats so they win the vote in the legislature. Regardless, this is in no way a consensus. Of course to a Democrat it is consensus because as long as people are forced to do things their way it is consensus. I might expect this guy would not understand the definition of consensus because he believes a flat tax is unfair and raising the percentages on those making more money is. How anyone can believe the mindless tripe that spews out of his pie hole is beyond me.

He also discusses courageous leadership. These two guys, miller and Busch counted heads and then let those Democrats in vulnerable seats vote against it so long as they still had the votes to pass it. Additionally, these cowards kicked the can down the road with regard to the slots issue. Instead of having the courage to pass slots NOW they decided it would go to referendum and be on the 2008 ballot. This means that it will be six years after the last governor first proposed slots before it is even voted upon. If these cowards that O’Malley thinks are courageous would have voted for slots in 2002 we would be well on our way to fiscal health. Instead, these whiny little school girls played games while Maryland got deeper in debt, a debt created because these jerks do not know how to control spending.

No Republican who left the special session has indicated that he had some epiphany and realized that this could not be accomplished by spending cuts alone. None of them voted for the tax increases and they continue to say that it could have been handled by controlling spending but Democrats do not know how to control spending. O’Malley is already starting the lies and the spinning so when the state goes in the dumper due to the inflation and high taxes he can blame it on someone else. This jackass is famous for crying and blaming everyone else. Any time you want to discuss your stupidity Marty, contact me and I will be glad to put you in your place and expose your stupidity. I will give you something to cry about.

Finally, O’Malley could not discuss screwing everyone without playing Democrat and telling us how this is for the children. O’Malley raised taxes, allowed the electric rates to increase after promising they would not and he has added even more spending to the budget in the form of free health care. He is screwing the children over because their parents will not have enough money to feed them. This little loser twerp is trying to justify the biggest tax increase in the state’s history by saying it is for the kids.

I have an idea Marty. If you want to leave this state in better shape than you found it, replace all the Democrats in office with Republicans.

Folks, don’t let this lying little piece of maggot feces pull the wool over your eyes. He intended to raise taxes and would have done so if we had billions of dollars of extra money floating around. This twerp is no leader. he could not lead a group of people out of a burning building.

Screw you O’Malley and all the Democrats who voted for this ignorance.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/the-maryland-tax-rape-plan/.

The legislature of Maryland wrapped up the Special Session called by Governor O’Malley and the result is going to be very painful to Maryland residents. For the past three weeks the legislature has been mulling over how to screw the citizens of this state out of their hard earned money and they finally succeeded at doing just that. When O’Malley was elected I predicted that he would raise our taxes and hurt us. I think he believes that Hillary will select him for a position in her administration and he will not have to worry about paying for what he did when the next election rolls around (in Maryland it will be 2010).

The special session was called to address a budget shortfall for a budget that does not yet exist. They then addressed gasoline taxes, which do not go into the general funds and cannot reduce any perceived deficit, then they increased health care assistance which adds to the budget which is contrary to why the session was convened. Additionally, a half billion dollars in cuts were recommended to the governor but he is free to dismiss the cuts which he likely will. The whole process was a sham in order to raise our taxes starting on 1 January despite the fact that the current budget is in place until July and I might add that it is balanced.

Marylanders received a 20% increase in the sales tax and the income taxes, which were a fair flat tax, were changed to a progressive tax so that wealthier people pay more of the share for government than other wage earners. Yep, the wealthy in the state will now pay more to government despite the fact that the wealthy use far fewer government services. This is Socialism 101 and Governor O’Malley is the Karl Marx of Maryland.

There are many wealthy liberals who are very upset that they will pay a higher percentage of taxes than much of the state and I am happy about that. The service industry will also take a big hit because taxes have been extended to a lot of things that were not taxed in the past. The people who provide these services are getting screwed as well and many of them will likely question why they voted for O’Malley in the first place. All I can say is I hope it hurts the people who voted for him so badly that they are eating cat food for dinner so they can afford to heat their homes. I am tired of the liberals in this state imposing their will upon the people and screwing us so it is time that they paid for their stupidity. I hope the cat food tastes good.

I know which of my elected ‘leaders’ voted to increase my taxes and I will actively work to defeat them during the next election. I will work to ensure that the citizens of this state do not forget who they were and what they did. I am hoping that this is the straw that finally broke the camel’s back and people will vote the Democrats out of office so that we can get true leadership in here.

There will no doubt be an exodus of people from this state. Some will sell their homes and move and others will just go to other states to shop. I will not purchase any big ticket item in Maryland and I will try to get my services from entities outside the state. and I know there will be many others who do the same. Those living close to Delaware or Virginia will go to those states for gas and other items in order to pay less in taxes. I imagine it will not be long before the tax Nazis from Annapolis are waiting at the borders to confiscate good purchased elsewhere.

The bills will be signed into law today and that will be the death of this state and, as is true of all bad times in Maryland, it will come on a Democrat’s watch.

Interestingly, the legislature decided to put a slot machine bill on the ballot for referendum which means the people will vote on it in 2008 and, if it passes, it will become part of the Constitution of the state. Only a moron would make this part of the Constitution because then any changes will require a change to the Constitution which means by referendum and vote of the people. Slots have been a big issue for five years and the Democrats have always voted them down because they are evil (actually they did not want the Republican governor to get credit for the income) and now they are pushing the issue farther down the road because they lack the leadership necessary to address the issue. If the people pass slots the revenue will not begin to flow for a few more years. It could have been flowing by now were it not for the obstructive Democrats. If the measure fails they will raise our taxes again because a lot of what they are spending is based upon projected revenue from slots and many items in the special session were tied to slots.

I would have preferred they put the tax question directly to the people. Of course, since nearly 80% of the citizens opposed raising taxes they were not going to let us vote on it. They do not trust us to make those decisions even though they work for us.

We need a recall election in Maryland to get rid of O’Malley and we need to vote every person who raised our taxes OUT OF OFFICE.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving. Today however, is Thankstaking, the day Maryland government will give thanks for what it will take from its citizens.

Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/maryland-legislative-hit-list/.

The Maryland legislature has voted on the largest tax increase in state history and it looks like the tax increases will become law soon barring any unusual events in conference. WBAL radio has posted a list of the vote and how each Delegate and Senator voted. No Republicans voted for tax increases and some of the Democrats joined them.

However, since the Maryland legislature is loaded with Democrats the votes easily passed. I urge every citizen of Maryland to look at the list and make a not of their elected leaders who voted to increase taxes and then vote those people out of office in the next election. I am glad that those who voted for these politicians and that idiot Martin O’Malley will get to feel the immense pain of not being able to make ends meet but I also realize that we need to make the politicians hurt as well.

Look at the list, print it out and put it on the refrigerator so you will be reminded daily of the people who caused the pain. Get your anger intense by election day and make them pay.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/maryland-senate-hit-list/.

Today the Maryland Senate voted for the largest tax hike in state history. This tax hike is unnecessary and is being done during an unnecessary special session so Governor O’Malley can start collecting taxes for a budget problem in a budget that has not been developed as yet because the current Maryland budget is balanced and expires in July 2008.

The whole idea is to get it done and enacted now so they can begin to collect taxes right at that big shopping time known as Christmas. It is also important for O’Malley to get a bunch of money to pay off all the unions and other special interest groups that he owes for their support in the last election. Today the bill passed the Maryland Senate and it goes to the House tomorrow. The bill, which they claimed would only hurt rich people (as if that is OK and it was a lie) has now been turned into a monster that will affect everyone even more so than the original plan. I personally hope it bankrupts some businesses that supported O’Malley and that the poorer folks who voted for him have to eat cat food this winter so they can heat their homes. Call me heartless but the only way to teach stupid people is for their mistakes to be painful to them.

The 24-23 vote had no Republicans voting in favor of the increase and only those Democrats the leadership let vote to no to make it close. These are the Democrats who voted to take money out of the pockets of Maryland families to pay off political debt, to cook up more social programs and to give college education and health care to ILLEGALS:

James Robey (Howard County)

James Rosapepe (Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties)

This is the official hit list and everyone of these slugs needs to be removed from office in the next election. They must be held accountable for ignoring the huge majority of Marylanders who were against this tax hike. They must pay for failing to realize that they work for their constituents and not the special interest groups. If one of these people is your Senator and you do not vote for his opponent then you are telling him it is OK to bend you over and have his way with you.

As for you cretins who voted for Martin O’Malley, I hope you feel the pain of this like you have never felt it before. He promised to solve the electric bill problem and you got a 75% increase that he could not stop despite his promise to do so. Now he is raising taxes and despite what he says it is going to affect every person in this state. What you buy, your home, your gas, your barber, and you name it because it will all be taxed and you will have to pay it. This winter you might have to decide between heat and food. I hope that the tax increase puts you in the depths of despair and that the taxes make it impossible for you to make ends meet. You deserve this for voting for him when you were warned he was going to do this. You deserve this pain so that you might learn.

For those of you rich libs in Montgomery County, I hope your businesses dry up and blow away. I hope you have to pay so much in taxes it makes your eyes bleed. I hope the tax increase in your over priced country club county hurts like a hot saber being slowly inserted into your heart only I hope the pain does not stop. I heard you all on the news crying about how these taxes are going to affect you and that you did not like it. Too bad. You voted for this jackass governor when he told you he was going to raise taxes.

Bet you didn’t think he meant largest tax increase in state history did you?

He sure fooled you, huh? BOHICA*

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/empty-promises-of-the-democratic-party/.

There is a segment of society that believes people are entitled to everything in life at no cost whatsoever. These people have been around for quite some time but they have multiplied in numbers since the 1960s when LBJ and his policies created a group dependent upon government for everything. These policies helped to breed new generations of people who believed that they were entitled to anything they wanted from health care to college free of charge, paid for by the government. Unfortunately, those among this group who chose to go to school were failed by the educational system that did not teach them that whatever the government gives away is taken from others who have worked hard to earn it.

Those in the government, particularly the Democratic party, who espouse higher taxes and wealth redistribution believe that this is only proper and that it is our duty to care for those less fortunate. People like John Edwards, Martin O’Malley (Maryland Governor), Hillary Clinton, and B. Hussein Obama believe that we should all contribute to these programs or that we all have to sacrifice. They use euphemisms to mask what is really taking place and that is extortion. We do not make contributions and we are not sacrificing because these are acts that are voluntary. We are relieved of our money under threat. Our money is coerced from us under the strong arm of the government and the jack booted IRS who will crush us and put us in jail if we refuse to pay those who are extorting from us. A bigger problem is that the federal government can increase the amount we are required to pay at any time and we either take it or go to jail, or we find ways to earn less money so that we do not pay as much to the tax collector.

The Democratic hopefuls for the office of President have all expressed their desires to raise taxes on those who work so that those who do not may reap benefits from our hard work. I do not believe that people are entitled to free heath care and they are not entitled to a free college education. Of course, it would only be free to them because someone, those paying taxes, would have to pay the bills.

I believe that people are entitled to affordable health care and affordable education. I have, many times, written about health care and how it could be made affordable. My plan involves less government intervention and requires people to be responsible for their choices. I also believe that education should be affordable and that people should be able to take out low cost loans in order to get an education. None of these items requires taxpayers to foot the bills. Of course, in order for people to be able to get a good college education we must overcome the dismal performance of public schools in preparing people for college.

Another issue is Social Security and this is also an area where the Democrats do not want people to have a choice. They are content with raising the rate or cap upon which SS is based in order to pay out meager retirement checks and thus keep the elderly beholden to the government. Social Security should be privatized so that people can make their own retirement decisions. Any plan that involves retirement money should allow people to pass their savings on to their heirs, something the Democrats oppose.

No matter how it is sliced the Democrats espouse class warfare with social programs that force those with money to pay for those without. Unfortunately these programs have a stifling effect on production and growth and cause more and more people to become dependent upon the big nanny government. The Democrats know this and that is their end game. The more people beholden to them the more votes they can count on.

The unfortunate reality is that most people who vote Democrat do not see the error of these kinds of policies. They go through life blind to the realities and as long as they get their checks they do not care.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/maryland-governor-prepares-to-inflict-tax-pain/.

When Martin O’Malley was running against Robert Ehrlich for Governor of the state of Maryland I knew it was going to be tough for Ehrlich, the Republican, to win. Maryland is infested with Liberal Democrats who would vote for bin Laden if there was a D next to his name. I also warned that if O’Malley, the Teflon Leprechaun, were to be elected he would raise taxes through the roof. O.Malley won and during the first legislative session taxes were not addressed though some of the Democrats wanted to strike quickly now that there was no Republican to veto their thieving ways. O’Malley decided that he needed to look at things and see what could be cut first and after the legislative session ended he gave his token cuts and said he had done all he could and that there would be a need to raise taxes. Now, O’Malley has called for a special session that will start in the next few weeks and they will look at ways to fix the Democratically induced budget deficit. O’Malley went on a two week tour telling everyone what taxes would be raised. It was his tax a day tour and by the time it was over, it was apparent that we were going to get hurt. O’Malley also indicated that he needed a special session now because it would be irresponsible to wait until the next session (but it was not irresponsible to ignore it during the last session and let the problem grow).

Maryland has one of the highest per-capita income rates in the country and we have high taxes already but the Democrats, who have controlled the state since the beginning of time, have never been fiscally responsible and their answer to every budget problem is to raise taxes. O’Malley has this whiny condescending voice that sounds like a twit and he grates on my nerves especially sine his message is not one I want to hear.

Maryland, get ready because you are about to feel some real pain and despite what the Teflon Leprechaun has told you, the taxes will affect all residents, even the poor folks and the children, because it is all about the children. O’Malley has stated that he will change the income taxes and remove the fair system we have now, replacing it with a progressive tax structure that forces people who make more money to pay more of a percentage of income to the state. As it is right now every wage earner pays the same percentage of income and O’Malley has flat out stated that this is not fair and he wanted to make it fair by making people who make more pay a higher rate. Imagine how fair people would think it is if people who paid higher tax rates were allowed to go the the front of the MVA line and did not have to pay for parking because they pay more. People would scream about how unfair it is and yet they think it is fair for people who make more to pay a higher percentage. This is because the Democrats have given us class warfare and idiots believe that it is actually fair to screw people who make more money.

O’Malley claims that (83-95% depending on when he speaks) will pay lower income taxes. This might be true but it is a bait and switch because these folks will lose the savings in all the other taxes. Other taxes must be raised because there are not enough rich people to support all the people with their hands out. So, O’Malley will raise the state sales tax 20% (from 5 to 6 cents on the dollar) and will increase the services that these taxes apply to. The only service that was left out is lawyer’s fees. The fact that O’Malley and most of the legislators are lawyers had nothing to do with that, right…

This will really hurt the poor. Most of the taxes that the state takes in is on sales and poor folks spend a lot of money on things. One major purchase will wipe out anything they saved on income taxes. Then the state wants to impose a higher gasoline tax as if the nearly 20 cents a gallon they get is not enough. O’Malley claims that the infrastructure needs work but the state never dedicates money collected for transportation to transportation. It goes to the general fund where it can be spent on unnecessary things. Maryland is a really small state that has a lot of toll roads that rake in millions of dollars. Where do they go? The cost to register a vehicle is really high and yet we never seem to have the money we need to fix things. It is called mismanagement and in Maryland the way to handle mismanagement is to raise taxes. The gas tax will probably be a percentage of gas price rather than a fixed amount per gallon. This way, as gas prices rise so so taxes. Who do you suppose this will hurt?

There will be a number of other taxes implemented and each one will be another painful cut in the budget of the working class folks in this state. The way they tax us here it is no wonder that a family making 3 or 4 times the poverty rate needs S-CHIP. If you make 60,000 dollars you only get about 30,000 of it to keep once the state and federal government gets done with you.

There is a simple solution to fix the budget problem in this state and that is to control spending. If they held spending to 3.5% they could wipe out the deficit but if they held spending how would O’Malley pay off all those he owes favors? Democrats do not want to hear anything about holding the line on spending because they love to take our money and spend it irresponsibly. It is a simple fact and the sad thing is that this is well known but people still voted for them. The only pleasure I get is knowing that these tax increases will be killing all the poor folks who voted for this idiot. I hope the taxes hurt them so badly that the only thing they can have for Christmas dinner is cat food. I know it sounds cruel but the fact is in order for some people to learn there has to be pain. Those who voted for him should be in horrific pain for a long time and maybe they will learn. I hope this is the most painful thing they have ever had in their lives and I do not care how it makes me look, I want them to hurt.

Now, we need to address slots. That has been in the works for a long time and most Democrats, including O’Malley, were against them when Ehrlich wanted them. Now that O’Malley is in he has changed his mind and so have others. The slots issue will be bounced around for a while but the taxes will take effect quickly. I was in favor of slots in the past. Marylanders go to neighboring states to gamble so why not have slots here so we can keep the money in state. Hell, the state runs the lottery and there are about a million different games to play. Slots will not make anyone poor who has not already become poor due to the lottery. I am now against slots and will never play them if they come. I will go to Delaware and gamble. They deserve my money more and my wife and I have talked about moving there to escape the tax burden of Maryland.

As it is right now we live close enough to shop up there for a lot of things. We shop at the Commissary so there are no taxes on our groceries and major items come from Delaware where they have no sales tax. We have avoided buying a new vehicle but will get socked with a hefty tax bill when we do, unless we move before that.

Maryland is in for a rude awakening. They will raise our taxes and they will screw us to the wall and in three years the budget will still be a mess. They cannot keep from spending so they will need to raise taxes again and again. For those who can, look for ways to reduce your tax burden. Purchase US Savings bonds because they are not subject to state or local taxes. Check with a tax adviser to see how you can avoid being a victim of rape in the state of Maryland.

O’Malley is a terrible leader and this state is run by a bunch of irresponsible idiots. They are going to inflict pain on all of us and we will have little to show for it. I only hope it is painful enough that people either change their minds about who they vote for or that it renders them unable to vote.

As for me, I think we should change the system so that you start with one vote and get an additional vote for every $5000 you pay in taxes. I bet people would scream unfair but it is as fair as the progressive tax. Hell, those who pay the most should have the most say in how the country is run.

BOHICA** Maryland…
