In case you don’t follow the news, or even if you do, a few stories that caught my eye today:

Mayor Bloomberg is an ass. I’m sorry, I really don’t like to say such things about people, but where do you draw the line? The mayor is spending taxpayer money, money taken at gunpoint, to attempt to force you to not eat salt. I have no problem with him stating his own opinion on salt — but the fact he is taking taxpayer money (MY money) to do it is completely wrong. He should shut up, and mind his own damn business.

Lauren Rymer, of Baltimore, is a whiny, selfish person. Again, I really don’t like calling people out and calling them names, but this is ridiculous. Miss Rymer is saying, “I think I should get my house for free and shouldn’t have to pay for it.” What a selfish person. What about the person whose money she used to buy that home? If she should get a free house, shouldn’t everyone get a free house who wants one? That’s just horribly self-centered.

Does anyone else immediately get the feeling that Nero fiddles while Rome burns? I’m not complaining that Obama is dancing or anything, I’m just getting the idea that America is in serious trouble and instead of doing something about it, Obama’s spending money and ignoring the country.

Why would CAIR file a lawsuit to stop Sharia law in Oklahoma while at the same time claiming it is “a legal impossibility” to implement Sharia law in Oklahoma? Yet again, something about CAIR smells really bad.

The Fed continues to demand that prices increase. I’m not making this up. They are still complaining that inflation is too low and that they WANT prices to increase. Since Wall Street went up, they’re happy. Keep that in mind next time you hear about the fed. They DEMAND things cost more for you.

Finally, if you needed it, another example showing how government is out of control. There is absolutely no way you will ever convince me that any janitor is worth $140,000 a year. But that’s the power of unions and government collusion. This government, I believe, cannot be repaired.

Police in Denver say that a traffic stop might have averted an assassination attempt on Barack Obama. Police have four people in custody on weapons and drug charges and if this is true, other charges will come.

The group had rifles, camouflage clothing, and claim to have sighted the rifles from 750 yards. They stated they were going to kill Obama while he was giving his acceptance speech.

The police report that one of the persons was believed to belong to a white supremacist group.

I am glad they caught these guys. There is no place in our country for this kind of stuff and I hope these idiots go to jail for a very long time. I do have to wonder why they admitted their plot. All they had to do was say they received the rifles for some of the drugs and they would not be in nearly as much trouble as they are now.

I hope the cops have a handle on this. Unlike the left, who would love to see Republicans assassinated, I do not want to see this happen to anyone. It would be a tragedy. It would also set off the biggest riots in history and we don’t need that.

It only takes a few idiots to cause trouble. Good thing the police were alert. With all the morons protesting there this could have slipped through the cracks and caused a real problem.

White House Spokesperson Tony Snow indicated that he will probably not stay until the end of the President’s second term. Citing financial concerns, Snow said he would not stick around and that he expected there to be a few other departures from the Bush administration. Instantly, the haters in the “tolerant” left wing of the country jumped on Snow.

As most folks know, Snow is fighting cancer, a cancer that has reemerged. There are posts out there that are full of comments by the left wishing for Snow to die because he shilled for the President, he help sell a bill of goods on the war (though he was not there when the war started) and that he is an evil man for spreading the lies coming out of the White House. Unfortunately, I have read the left long enough not to be surprised by the people who hope his cancer kills him quickly and that this is all karma coming back to haunt people who harmed this country.

I do not see people from the right wishing death on political opponents who have some disease process going on. Elizabeth Edwards received many well wishes from the right on many blogs and in comments. When Senator Johnson fell ill the right prayed for him while the left showed their concern by worrying the Democrats would lose the Senate majority. It is unfortunate that people cannot put politics aside when a person’s health is an issue. Wishing for people to die and being happy they have an illness is wrong and certainly does not bode well for people who consider themselves tolerant. You know the types, the Daily Kos is full of them.

Imagine how they and others on the left would react if the right wing blogs cheered about Ms. Edwards’ cancer and hoped that she died for marrying an ambulance chasing charlatan? Using the logic of the left, this would be her karma for marrying such a worthless man. Only truly compassionate people can see that this would be wrong and that is probably why many on the right just offer prayer. Politics is not as important as a human life and one day the left will find that out.

I wish Tony Snow well now and when he resigns. I wish Elizabeth Edwards and Tim Johnson well and I pray for all of them. At the end of the day, the compassion is what sets us apart from the animal world (that and we use cutlery).

Big Dog Salute to Fort Hard Knox

Mike Nifong had to turn in his license to practice law. He sent it in and it was chewed up because his puppy ate it a long time ago. Nifong, many of you will recall, was the prosecutor who kept pursuing the Duke lacrosse players long after it was cleat that they did not commit a crime (which is different from doing something wrong). Here is how the letter to the bar ends:

I doubt Nifong actually knows what evidence looks like or what it actually means given how he handled this case. Additionally, who is he to complain about how a procedure is going. He abused his office, used those kids to pander to the black community in order to get reelected and then kept going long after it was prudent. He got dragged through the mud for doing something wrong (and illegal), the same thing he did to those kids when he wanted them to be wrong.

I am also waiting for Billy Joe’s favorite race baiting poverty pimps, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to show up and apologize for all their remarks regarding this case. That will never happen because they got their face time and will move on. And people wonder why they are not viewed as real civil rights leaders??

Nifong got what he deserved and he needs to stop whining about it. His ambition got in the way and he screwed people in the process.

Today the President of the United States exercised his Constitutional authority to grant clemency to Scooter Libby and I am happy about this. I always felt that he did not lie and I felt that the sentence was too harsh for the crime. The clemency only covers the jail term and leaves the probation and the fine intact. My friend John Bambenek points out that; “This allows Libby to continue to pursue appeals to litigate how someone can be guilty of obstruction without an underlying crime.” This is the Presidential Grant of Clemency:

WHEREAS Lewis Libby was convicted in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in the case United States v. Libby, Crim. After screwing the pooch on immigration the President came back and got one right. I am sure the left will go nuts over this and there are people who will point out, as John did, that Conservatives views Clinton’s perjury as a serious issue but that Libby’s is not. I have a different take on this. Both cases of perjury are serious (taking the jury verdict as proof because I am still not convinced he lied) but since Clinton never received jail time then Libby should get the same punishment. The President removed the jail portion of the penalty while leaving the rest intact which is similar to what Clinton received. One thing is for sure, Libby will never make the money that Clinton is now. His life is forever damaged because the Special Prosecutor kept looking after he knew who leaked the info. It was nothing more than a snipe hunt to satisfy the left.

As for Obama. Perhaps this dimwit has not paid attention or maybe he just wants to say something enough times that people will believe it, oh wait, the Liberals already believe it. What is the it? This is Obama’s statement about the clemency:

“This decision to commute the sentence of a man who compromised our national security cements the legacy of an Administration characterized by a politics of cynicism and division, one that has consistently placed itself and its ideology above the law. B. Hussein Obama wants to be president and he has yet to figure out the facts in this case. Libby was convicted of lying to the Grand Jury (serious stuff, I agree) not of disclosing the identity of Valerie Plame. Forgetting, for a moment, that Plame was not covert, her identity was revealed by someone else who also happened to be critical of the war in Iraq. The way it was revealed was that people were trying to figure out who sent a low level former ambassador named Joe Wilson to Niger to investigate if Iraq had tried to get yellow cake Uranium. Wilson made the claim that he was sent at the behest of the Vice President (a lie) and when Cheney heard this he wanted to know who really sent him. That is when they found out that his wife recommended him for the mission, a fact she denied several times. Her involvement is no longer in question and it has been shown that she and her husband both lied in regard to this issue.

Not to rehash the whole issue (which will be dead in a week when people move on to other issues) but B. Hussein Obama makes it sound like President Bush let the leaker off the hook. I just want Obama to explain how perjury jeopardized national security. Seems that he is engaging in the kind of hype he criticizes the administration for. Also, I have never heard Obama chime in on how he feels Clinton should have been dealt with. Same crime, same time, and Clinton WAS a threat to national security! President Bush still left a hefty fine in place and two years of probation. Libby will no doubt lose his law license and have to write a book to make money.

If I were he, I might consider a tell all story about the things that went on in DC during this time. Sling a bit of mud on everyone, regardless of party. A good book is just what the doctor ordered.

I mean, a man’s got to make a living…

In 1988 author Salman Rushdie wrote a book entitled The Satanic Verses which discussed portions of the early Koran that were adopted by Mohammad. The book sparked widespread violence and condemnation of Rushdie. The Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini of Iran issued a death warrant on Rushdie which forced him into hiding for more than a decade.

Rushdie is again working up the ire of the followers of the child molesting prophet because Britain has awarded him knighthood, making him Sir Salman. The Muslim world is up in arms about this and demanding that Britain remove the title or suffer terrorist attacks as a result. The Muslims have indicated that violence is acceptable for this insult to Islam.

Pakistan demanded on Monday that Britain withdraw a knighthood awarded to author Salman Rushdie, as a government minister said the honour gave a justification for suicide attacks by Muslims.

First things first. Anyone want to take bets that it will NOT be Ijaz-ul-Haq who straps on a bomb to kill others? It is common for the cowards of Islam to incite others to strap on bombs and kill themselves in the name of their peaceful religion while never volunteering to do that dirty deed themselves.

Now, it seems to me that strapping on a bomb and killing innocent people is the work of the devil himself. The idea that one needs to strike terror in the hearts of those with whom they disagree is pretty much the work of Satan and this pretty much means that Rushdie was correct. The Koran is full of passages calling for violence in the name of Allah and his twisted prophet so it is no surprise that the Satanic Verses exist and that they accurately portray Islam.

The people who call for violence in this fashion are possessed by Satan. Islam is not a religion of peace, it is a religion of violence and the work of Satan. Speaking of terrorism, where is CAIR in all of this? They are supposed to be the ones promoting peace among the religions (that is their claim) and yet they have not come out to tell the Muslims to leave Rushdie alone and let him receive his honor. That is because CAIR is run by a bunch of Satan worshipers who agree with killing innocent people.

Congratulations Sir Salman! As for you worshipers of Mohammad the child molester and his Satanic beliefs, do us a favor and test fire your bomb vests out in the desert before you go on your mission.

Hamas and Fatah have been fighting for a few weeks and now Hamas has overrun the Fatah security compound. According to reports members of Fatah are being dragged into the street and executed in the name of “justice and Islamic rule.” People are telling these stories as if the world is supposed to be surprised and horrified when in fact, this is Islamic justice and rule.

Fatah officials said seven of their fighters were shot to death in the street outside Preventive Security. A witness, Jihad Abu Ayad, said the men were being killed in front of their wives and children.

“They are executing them one by one,” Abu Ayad said. “They are carrying one of them on their shoulders, putting him on a sand dune, turning him around and shooting.” Breitbart

The people from this part of the world and their terror buddies in organizations like CAIR stand silent when these animals execute people around the world in the name of Allah and his child molesting prophet Mohammad. There was no outrage among them as Americans and others are executed by beheading and the gruesome act is shown all over the Internet. No, now I guess we are supposed to be unhappy that these animals are dragging each other out into the street and ending their lives.

As far as i am concerned we can let these animals kill each other off until there are none left. I am not going to boo hoo over Muslims killing each other when they kill non Muslims regularly and take pride in their acts.

I would just hope our country will not give one cent to these people. Let them figure a way to make it on their own. In the words of Kos, Screw them.

Imagine my thoughts when I saw the above headline at the Drudge Report. I thought that the terrorists had finally gotten it right. Not that I advocate the death of any American though I have often noted that it would be nice if the people (like Kennedy) who have been hanging on in Congress for decades could die off so we could fill their seats with fresh ideas I would never go for the willful murder of them. I had these visions in my head that the Muslims terrorists had gotten to Kennedy by posing as Bush hating business men who would finance his next campaign if he would deliver a message to the middle of DC. They then would get Kennedy liquored up (as if that would be hard) and then strap a bomb vest to him and give him the message to take to DC.

They would detonate Kennedy in the middle of a crowd and the flabalanche that would follow would result in untold numbers of deaths and injuries. Kennedy’s case hardened liver would take out building after building as it hurtled through the city propelled by the bomb/alcohol combination.

Alas, my thoughts were interrupted when I actually read the article which describes another terrorist plot to attack the US. You know, one of those plots that the liberals make light of and fail to see as success in the war on terror and Islam. This plot involved blowing up the fuel line that carries jet fuel to Kennedy Airport in New York. The fuel line runs under neighborhoods and would have killed thousands of people and caused millions if not billions of dollars worth of damage. Experts indicate the devastation would have dwarfed that of 9/11.

I should have realized right from the start that the terrorists would not be blowing up Kennedy, at least not yet. He is still a useful idiot to them and can assist them in winning the war.
