One of the reasons I pay attention to government is because it does something even more bizarre and stupid each day. The newest stupid move comes from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The EEOC is warning employers about requiring a high school diploma in order for a person to be considered for a job. According to the EEOC this might violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Give me a freaking break. I mean, seriously? Since when is not graduating from a school a disability? I am sure there are a few folks who have disabilites that prevented them from graduating but the mere fact that a person did not graduate is NOT a disability. In fact, it shows the person is likely not motivated and should be scrutinized more closely before considering him for a job.

Not having a high school diploma is not a disability and only a mentally disabled person would think such a stupid thing. Since it is not a disability employers have every right to require a high school diploma or anything else.

Imagine this another way. Suppose a law firm required you to graduate from law school in order to be hired. Would the EEOC apply the same logic and claim that requiring a law degree (a diploma from a law school) violates the ADA?

The only disabilities I see are the ones burdening the mentally challenged morons in government who come up with such stupid things.

I do imagine this could be another Obama regime ploy to get even more people dependent on government. Think about it this way. A person without a high school diploma applies for a job that requires one and is rejected. He files a suit because it violates the ADA and he wins a lawsuit. Then it turns out he is otherwise not qualified and he does not get the job. He applies for disability under Social Security and bam, he is a ward of government forever more.

After that we will have more high school drop outs because they want them some of that gubmint money for their disability.

I say if you drop out they should put you in the service and ship you off to a war someplace.

Bet they might get a diploma then.

What in the name of all that is holy has become of this country. Maybe it is just me but if you are going to want a job that requires a diploma of any sort then it would behoove you to get that diploma.

I will note that the EEOC claims the requirement might run afoul if a person has a learning disability that prevents them from graduating high school. OK, so if they can’t learn how are they going to learn the job? This is from the government model ID10T worker…

George Bush had a way with words that made liberals cringe. Every nuance or mistake was highlighted on TV and other media outlets as proof that Bush was an idiot, a moron, or mentally challenged. The same media uses the mistakes of Sarah Palin to show she is an idiot and not worthy of consideration for anything regardless of her actual intelligence. The media though, love to ignore Obama’s mistakes. He has made many verbal gaffes but the MSM ignores when Obama makes a mistake. He is, after all, the smartest man in the world, so they have to protect him.

At a campaign rally, I mean jobs bill rally this week Obama discussed how great America used to be. We did, according to Obama the Great, build the Intercontinental Railroad

Now, we used to have the best infrastructure in the world here in America. We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad, the Interstate Highway System. (Applause.) We built the Hoover Dam. We built the Grand Central Station. (Applause.) LA Times

I am sure Obama meant the Transcontinental Railroad since we don’t have a rail system that extends from the US to places like Europe or Africa. Since he was talking about America’s infrastructure one must assume he was talking about the Transcontinental Railroad.

Anyone can make a mistake though one would assume that his speech writers would crack a book or do a Google search to ensure they had it correct.

If George Bush had made this mistake the liberal media pundits would be talking about what a moron he is and how stupid we are as a people for electing such a buffoon.

But when Obama makes this kind of error it is ignored. Can’t let the masses know how dumb the leader really is.

Just a shot in the dark here, but I would imagine this is the kind of information that one knows without being told sort of like it will be windy with lots of rain during a hurricane. It appears though, as if some people need to be told the most basic and common sense things. Canadians are being warned not to buy “fresh” semen online for their fertility issues because the semen could contain diseases.

I know that there are couples who need donated semen to have children and those couples go through a great deal to pick the right donor based on the characteristics of that donor. It seems to me that the kind of people who would buy semen online should probably not have children in the first place.

But we do have people that need to be told to bring in any items that might get blown around in a hurricane and we have reporters who stand in 100 mph winds and driving rain to demonstrate that it is bad during a hurricane. We have people who need to be told not to play on the beach during the hurricane and we have people who get killed because they wander out during such storms.

Yes, we have warnings on hemorrhoid cream that it is not to be taken by mouth, on hair dryers not to use them in the shower and the Captain America toy shield warns that the device is a toy and does not provide protection.

We live in a society full of morons. The problem is that government runs around protecting these people from themselves and they don’t die off through the natural selection process the liberals love to discuss. It appears as if they tout evolution but refuse to allow nature to take its course and eliminate the weakest of the herd.

In any event, don’t buy semen online. You should also not buy blood or blood products on line and you should not buy organs (the biological ones, not the music ones) online.

I don’t know what is more disturbing, the thought of people who would buy semen online or the thought of people who would sell it…

Talk about small business. But they have a good heart, they just want to make some couple happy by allowing them to have a baby.

Move On has a misleading post at its website that comes from Socialist Bernie Sanders and it is a list of the top ten companies that paid no taxes last year. I do not know if the companies paid taxes but if they did not then they worked within the tax guidelines set into law by Congress, of which Sanders is a member. If they paid no taxes because of the tax laws then this happened because of Sanders and the rest of the people in Congress who have given us a cumbersome and unfair tax system.

The misleading part comes in the introduction where Move On starts by indicating; “Come April 15, everybody ponies up their fair share, right?”

This is patently false but is designed to turn people against the big evil companies that paid no taxes. The lie comes in the question about everyone ponying up their fair share. The reality is that not everyone ponies up a fair share. The bottom 50% of taxpayers pay 3% of the taxes and most of the folks in the bottom 50% not only don’t pay taxes but, because of tax credits, they get money back. That is correct, they get all that they paid in during the year AND THEN SOME. If Sanders is looking for freeloaders then why does he not start with the millions of Americans who not only pay no taxes but get more back then they ever paid in? Why does he not worry about the billions of dollars we are losing 1) because people are not paying any taxes and 2) because taxpayer money is being redistributed to them rather than going to pay our bills?

While Sanders cries about corporations that paid no taxes (and the truth to that is yet to be seen) 45% of households paid NO income taxes in 2010. How can he be looking for freeloaders without looking at that 45%?

The wealthy in this country pay most of the taxes and though they have paid less in recent years everyone has paid less. That is, those who actually pay taxes have paid less. Those who pay no taxes actually make out in the deal because our government has made the IRS a big government wealth redistribution center where those who pay taxes send it to the government where the IRS takes it and redistributes it to those who paid nothing giving them a net increase.

If people like Sanders are concerned about the tax situation in this country then why don’t they sit down and make a serious effort to fix it so that it is fair and equitable to all and so that everyone pays a fair share?

The tax breaks for companies can be removed and the corporate tax rate reduced. The IRS can be eliminated by having a flat tax of 11% across the board for every person who earns income. MAKE EVERYONE PAY.

This would have to come with a rule forbidding Congress from raising the rates unless 75% of the House and Senate voted on it. While we are at it we could get a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution to force Congress to live within its means.

There are plenty of things that can be done to fix the broken system and set us on the path to prosperity.

One thing that is of no help is for people like Socialist Sanders to cry about companies not paying their fair share when they follow the rules people like Sanders implemented all the while ignoring the nearly 50% of workers who not only pay no taxes but get someone else’s money to boot.

The class warfare crap is no longer going to work. We will not sit around and listen to members of Congress whine about people who follow the very rules that Congress laid out.

Make it fair for everyone because the workers who pay taxes are tired of people piling on for our money while Congress pecks at our wallets like buzzards on roadkill.

The Democrats are in full court press mode as the budget battle heads toward the next round of attempting to get a budget in order. Chuck Schumer, the whiny liberal Senator, was caught on a conference call instructing fellow Democrats to use the word extreme while describing the Republican’s cuts and to tell the press that was supposed to join the call that Republicans were refusing to negotiate. The problem is that the reporters were already on the line and heard Schumer instructing his colleagues to lie about what is going on.

Evidently, the Democrats had a liberal focus group and when they said Republican’s budget cuts are extreme the wimpy liberals wet their pink panties so Democrats are now using that term. Harry Reid used it as well during the day because that is the new plan.

The Democrat who takes the cake is the moron from Maryland, Steny Hoyer. Hoyer, who calls the Tea Party Caucus the perfectionist caucus, said that Democrats will not be to blame if the government shuts down (which it never really does) and he made the amazing claim that this would not be a problem if Democrats were in charge:

“It’s self-evident we don’t control Washington, or we wouldn’t be having this problem,” Hoyer said, arguing that Democrats would not be to blame if the government shuts down. FOX News

This is amazing because the reason we have the problem is that Democrats WERE in charge. Yes Mr. Hoyer, the problem we are now facing over not having a budget is because you and your fellow Democrats failed to exercise your Constitutional duties and pass a budget last year. You were too cowardly to pass a budget prior to the election and this is why we have a problem.

If you had done your job then we would have a budget in place and would not be wasting time trying to get one passed nearly a half year after it was due.

In other words Steny, you are full of crap. We certainly would have this problem if you were in charge because that is why we have the problem.

It is amazing to me that this moron would make such an obviously stupid (and false) statement but then again Democrats are full of people who make stupid and false statements.

You did not do you job Mr. Hoyer and that is one of the reasons you and your party took a first class beating in the last election.

As for calling the Tea Party Caucus the perfectionist caucus, perhaps if we had more people trying to achieve perfection and fewer trying to rape the taxpaying public we would not be in such bad shape.

I would rather be part of the perfectionist party than be part of the dumb ass party and that sir, is where you reside.

Time is running out and if the government shuts down it will be the sole responsibility of the Democrats for failing to pass a budget when they were suposed to.

Martin O’Malley, the Governor of the People’s Republic of Maryland, is the new attack dog for the Democrats who want to destroy Chris Christie of New Jersey before he decides to change his mind and run for president. This is the tactic the left uses when it is scared. The left did this when Sarah Palin was selected as John McCain’s running mate because the left was scared of her. She drew a lot of attention and a lot of people liked listening to her. The left and its media wing set out to destroy her.

Think they were not worried? Why did the campaign go from being Obama against McCain to Obama against Palin? They were scared. They effectively created a narrative that plenty of people believe and that is, Palin is not very bright. Think what you may but she is not stupid and has more experience than the dunce in the White House.

And we know where she was born.

But let’s get back to the moron O’Malley. He chided Christie for his bombastic approach to balancing the budget in New Jersey. O’Mally, who has no business concerning himself with New Jersey, does not approve of Christie and others making public sector employees and their unions the scapegoats for the financial problems that the states are facing. O’Malley does not think that budgets should be balanced on the backs of the public sector union employees.

No, this moron would rather raise the taxes of the people who pay for the public sector employees. O’Malley chides Christie and others for pointing out that public sector unions have very, very, good deals where they pay very little toward their benefits. The people in the private sector pay for their own benefits (and at multiples of what the public sector union types pay) and they pay for those union benefits.

The union employees are up in arms all over because they feel entitled to the money that others produce. They feel entitled to have better benefits than the people who pay them (read their bosses) and they feel that anyone who gets in the way is taking something that belongs to them.

The reality is that THEY are taking things that belong to we the people. The taxpayers are footing the bill and we have some say in how OUR money is spent. If the public sector employees do not like this they can quit and get a job in the private sector. Let’s see how well they do there.

As for O’Malley, he cares not about the public sector employees and he will screw them if it will get money to his campaign war chest. He has already raised plenty of items that Maryland employees have to pay but two things factor in. First, he is a Democrat so no one will speak ill of him. Second, he extorted money from non union public sector employees to pay off the unions. That’s right, Maryland employees who are not in the union will have money TAKEN from their paychecks each pay period and it will go directly to the union. It was a payoff. As a commenter at the source site put it (and I see nothing incorrect in the comment with regard to content. Spelling is another matter):

And he is unsing [sic] the state employee to pay off the union. He pushed through a bill in our legislature last year to allow the public sector unions to take money from all state workers, whether they volunteer to join the union or not. So, starting July 1 the union will gain an addition 30,000 fee payers that would not have choosen [sic] to join the union. The union gains over 11 million dollars, the state employees loose 11 million dollars. In addition to the the unions in Maryland public sector have NO POWER. There are always “qualifiers” with and promises the union gets from the Governor. So, final decision on if state workers get the “union gains” rests totally on the Governor and legislatures. And in the past three years state employees in Maryland have had furloughs, increased health care contributions, no promised 401 matches, layoffs (seniority is never considered) and increased workloads. State workers in Maryland and currently facing increased contribution to the pension plan (they currently contribute 5% for a multiplier of 1.8, which is one of the lowest in the country), and increased healthcare costs again. Co-pays on perscriptions are about to double, and retires will not have healthcare benefits other than medicare. So, how is O’Malley NOT attacking the state workers in Maryland???? What Christy is doing in NJ is small potatoes compared to O’Malley. NJ employees have higher salaries and much lower contribution rates than those in Maryland. After Christy’s [sic] cuts the NJ state employees will STILL be better off than those State employees in Maryland working under Martin O’Malley. O’Mally is a real peice [sic] of work!

So what Moron O’Malley is actually saying in his feud with Christie is; You don’t have to be bombastic to get things under control with unions. All you have to do is make a few underhanded deals, screw over non union employees and make sure the unions get more money. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

Yeah, O’Mally is a moron. He is also delusional. He thinks that the reason he and other Democrat governors were elected or reelected last November is because they are doing what the people want. No, absolutely not. O’Malley is in an extremely blue state. Osama bin Laden could win here if he ran as a Democrat. The only people who think Democrats are doing a good job are the misguided, uneducated or welfare recipients who would vote Democrat no matter what.

In the rest of the country, Republicans won a resounding victory and if I am not mistaken, only one Democrat took a seat that belonged to a Republican but many Republicans took Democrat held seats (in elections for governor). The one that was taken was a term limited Republican in California and that Republican was in name only. California is a lot like Maryland with regard to voting Democrat.

In any event, O’Malley is in office, not because he is wonderful, but because of his proximity to DC and the huge number of Democrats dependent on government for their “check.” Maryland suburbs around DC are full of Democrats who support big government and vote Democrat. Add Baltimore and its entitlement population to the mix and Democrats win in this state. They lose almost all subdivisions in the state but they only need to win three to achieve victory.

In any event, O’Malley bribed the union in order to do what Christie is doing and he is delusional about why he is in office. He is a moronic idiot who has aspirations of a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue.

I would think that America is not that stupid but look at the current occupant of the White House…

Perhaps Martin O’Malley should shut his yap and worry about balancing his own budget and he should try doing so without raising taxes on the people who work and pay HIS salary as well as the salaries of all public sector employees.

We are tired of morons and we are certainly tired of O’Malley.

Harry Reid and Joe Biden are the gifts that keep on giving. Each is a gaffe machine and each passing day reminds us that both of them suffered brain damage in the past. Within the last few days Joe Biden, who Obama cannot stand, said that he was second in line for the presidency. Astute readers will note that Biden is first in line with regard to presidential succession. Joe is first in line and Nancy Pelosi is second. Yea, the man who once proclaimed he was the smartest man in the Senate is a moron.

Harry Reid must have decided that he could not let his old buddy Biden demonstrate more brain damage so Reid decided to make a sexually suggestive comment about Kirsten Gillibrand, junior Senator from New York.

The Nevada Democrat referred to New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand “the hottest member,” which apparently made Gillibrand blush, according to two Democratic sources familiar with the incident. CNN

It is true that Gillibrand recently came in third in The Hill’s 50 most beautiful people in Washington list but I fail to see where she was named hottest and I fail to see how Reid making the comment (which actually dealt with how the men in the Senate refer to her) is not an instance of sexual harassment. In order for there to be a problem the person about whom it was said must have a problem or it must create an uncomfortable workplace environment. Though Gillibrand played it off, there is no way that this is not inappropriate.

Reid and Biden are the heart and soul of the Democrats and each day they demonstrate how liberalism is a mental disorder.

They are both mentally deficient and should not be allowed out in public without safety headgear.

Folks in Nevada, now is your chance to get rid of Reid. Do it and put us out of our misery.

Looks like Obama’s aunt Zeituni, who was in America illegally until Obama was elected, is now the victim in all this mess. Aunt Zeituni has had many excuses for why she was here illegally and they all boil down to, she broke the law. She should have been deported long ago and if she was not related to Barack Obama she would have been sent home. Coincidences are fairly rare so it is highly likely that he or someone in his administration had something to do with her being allowed to stay.

In any event, Zeituni says that if a person comes here as an immigrant we have an obligation to make that person a citizen. In true Obama victim style, Zeituni is convinced that she was the victim in all this and that this great nation had an obligation to make her a citizen.

No lady, we had no such obligation. Becoming an American citizen is a privilege not a right so don’t play that liberal “I have the right to…” twaddle because it will not fly.

You, woman, had an obligation to take your sorry butt home after your legal time here had expired. You had an obligation to report back to court and you had an obligation to leave once you were told to do so.

We have no obligation to you or any other person who comes here as our guest and breaks the law (or comes here as the result of breaking the law). The only obligation we have is to the Constitution and the rule of law and that obligation includes throwing you out of our country.

So shut your mouth and enjoy the special favor you have been given by your nephew. But don’t play the victim card because you are not a victim, you are a criminal.

The article says that Zeituni claims the system made her a victim because it took care of her even though she was illegal. I don’t think the system took advantage of her or made her a victim just because it took care of her. That does not make her a victim, it makes her the recipient of kindness. But she is right, we should have refused to care for her and instead shipped her back home.

Two candidates for Congress have decided to go on a hunger strike because the Republican (Duncan Hunter) who they will face will not debate them until October. Ray Lutz and Mike Benoit, the Democrat and Libertarian candidates respectively, decided to wage this strike because they are not getting what they want.

“The hunger has almost disappeared except when there’s food around and TV ads and stuff. The Hometown Buffet commercial is one of the worst. They are an all-you-can-eat buffet,” said Mike Benoit, the libertarian candidate in the three-way race.

The strike started with Democrat Ray Lutz, who said he got the idea from former California Rep. Jim Bates. Benoit immediately joined in. The pair are on their fifth day of a hunger strike they started at sundown on Aug. 12. Politico

One candidate needed an enema and has lost a good bit of weight.

Are these the kind of people we want running the country? Hunger strikes are for wackos who have some cause they want to push. Not being allowed to debate until October is not worthy of a hunger strike and calls the sanity of the candidates into question.

Lutz has at least a bit of sanity as he has decided that he will end his hunger strike on 20 August. He decided that the debate was not worth dying for.

So why do it in the first place? Does the hunger strike hurt Hunter? If these wackos were serious about the strike he could just wait until they drop dead of starvation and he would have no opposition.

These people remind me of children who hold their breath or throw tantrums when they do not get their way.

Interestingly, Lutz has a job that might help him out:

Lutz is an electrical engineer who owns Cognisys, a company that sells electronics to psychologists and other professionals to help treat mental illnesses.

He could probably use some of that shock therapy…

There is absolutely no way these two should be elected to office.

The liberals in this country are not that hard to figure out. They are like colonizing insects that take orders from one entity and then carry the same message around. The MSM, the liberal politicians and the liberal base all get talking points from the White House and then they all use the same words like the good little drones they are.

On any given day we can hear the same unique words coming from nearly every liberal media outlet (Limbaugh sometimes compiles montages of these people all saying the same thing around the very same time) and liberal politicians chime in when they all use carefully crafted phrases to present a false picture or mislead the public.

Deval Patrick, Governor of Massachusetts (and Obama buddy) received the memo on new words to use when referring to Republicans. That word is sedition and it was first used a few weeks ago by Joe Klein (a supposed journalist) who accused Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin of sedition and then agreed when Rush Limbaugh’s name was added to the list.

Of course, nothing that any of these people have said or done in any way, shape, or form fits the definition of sedition and this is true of the incorrect definition Klein scrawled on his martini napkin. The definition of sedition is; “incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.”

This definition is the dictionary definition and not the one contained in the United States Code. The USC calls the crime of Seditious conspiracy and defines it as such:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both. Cornell Law

One will notice that this requires more than words that would incite. You see, the United States has a history of using sedition laws to regulate speech and has done that on 24 different occasions. The Supreme Court ruled that criticism of the government could not be suppressed and “The First Amendment permits punishment of seditious utterances only if they expressly advocate immediate unlawful action and are likely to produce such action imminently (Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969)).” ⁽¹⁾

Klein’s assertions carry no water but they do not have to. The whole purpose of characterizing what those people say as sedition is to regulate their free speech. This is where Deval Patrick comes in. He recently said that opposition to Barack Obama borders on sedition. I seriously doubt this dim bulb knew the word sedition until he got his marching orders and it is obvious now that he knows the word he does not know what it means.

Opposing what any politician wants CANNOT be seditious. Sedition is an act against a country and the authority of government, not an individual. It is important to keep that point in mind, sedition is an ACT. It requires an act of force. 18 USC (cited above) requires some kind of force to meet the definition of sedition and the definition describes this force used against government, not an individual.

So, it is impossible to be seditious to an individual. As with Klein though, this is not important to those who are working to paint a picture of people planning to use force to overthrow government. This is not the case and even if people were talking about it there would have to be an imminent threat before it could be considered seditious. The purpose of this entire exercise though, is to paint a picture for when the government decides to use sedition as an excuse to stifle the First Amendment rights of those who disagree with the Obama regime and what it is doing to destroy the country.

Patrick was challenged on his assertion and he claimed that it was rhetorical flourish. Once someone explained the definition to him he had a change of heart. But let us be clear. Sedition is not the kind of accusation a person makes as rhetorical flourish. No, sedition is a serious charge especially since our government has used the charge as a way to silence opposition.

This is what the left wants to do. The liberals figure that if they can keep pushing the charge of sedition then perhaps it will be time to silence the dissent as the government has done in the past. The echo chamber of the left will begin to echo the word sedition and many liberal nitwits who do not know the word will be repeating it. This is how the left learns vocabulary. If it were not for the 2000 election most liberals would not know what disenfranchise means. But I digress.

It is not sedition to speak out against government so do not let morons like Klein and Patrick tell you otherwise. They do not know what they are talking about. It is also important to note that anyone who swore to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic cannot be seditious in doing so. Since our government gets its authority from those governed (us) we cannot be seditious if upholding the Constitution, the document by which we give that authority, no matter what it takes to do so.

The government in this country is We the People and the politicians are forcing their will upon us and changing our nation. They are ignoring our Constitution and forcing us (using FORCE) to get us to comply.

Now look at the definition of sedition and tell me who is being seditious.

But this pattern will continue as the echo chamber of the left continues to parrot the talking points sent out by the propagandist in Chief in the White House.

As for Barack Obama. He wants to fundamentally transform this nation and that transformation looks like his intention is to “to destroy by force the Government of the United States.”

And that my friends, is where the sedition comes in.
