Teachers In Trouble Over Black History Month Posters

Three teachers in Los Angeles are in trouble after they gave posters of Dennis Rodman, RuPaul and OJ Simpson for kids to carry in a Black History Month parade. Evidently, some black people are not as appropriate as others:

Children from other classes at the school displayed photos of more appropriate black role models, such as Nelson Mandela, Harriet Tubman and President Obama, Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Gayle Pollard-Terry said. New York Daily News

I understand the apprehension over all this. OJ Simpson was accused of murder and was only found not guilty because they were able to find the only 12 people in the world who thought he did not do it. He is now in jail for using a gun to get back his belongings. Simpson though, was a great athlete before his troubles.

Dennis Rodman is just a weird person though he has had his troubles. But he too was a great athlete.

The article states there were posters of Michael Jackson and though Jackson was a great singer and extremely talented he was not without his legal troubles which involved sexual molestation of children.

Why is it that Jackson is appropriate and Simpson and Rodman are not?

[note]The NAACP honored Johnnie Cochran for the skill he used to defend Simpson. The indication was that it was OK to use race as an issue. In other words, Simpson was the victim.[/note]

What I am most perplexed about is the idea that RuPaul is a problem. RuPaul Charles is a guy who happens to be a drag queen. He has been very successful with this career and has his own show. RuPaul is also a singer who has recorded songs and music videos. What about RuPaul makes him an inappropriate choice?

Is it because RuPaul, when in drag, is a pretty good looking “lady” and the other women were jealous?

I though that the schools were all about diversity. I can understand the reluctance over Simpson and Rodman (though the inclusion of Jackson pretty much negates the issue) but I can’t understand why RuPaul is a problem, especially among folks who are supposed to be big on diversity.

The other thing that I want to know is did the teachers pick the person on the poster or did the children.

In any event, this seems like much ado about nothing.

Michael Jackson; Anti Semite, Child Molester

There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a hugely talented singer and dancer. He had a lot of hit songs and he invented dance moves that others still watch in bewilderment. Jackson was a very good entertainer until sometime after his Thriller album when he began to get very, very weird.

One almost feels pity for a person deprived of a childhood he longed so much for. He bought a house and made an amusement park out of the property. He looked like a person who never grew up and this is probably why he loved to be around children.

But Jackson had a dark side and it was not pretty. He was mentally disturbed and those around him were enablers who allowed him to fall further and further into instability. He was a great singer but he died a pathetic, worn out shell of a human. He must have disliked his life and who he was because he spent so much money on physically changing himself.

Jackson has been receiving all kinds of accolades from the people around the world. The very people who distanced themselves from the weird guy of late are out in droves to discuss what a great guy he was. He did give a lot to charity and he did try to do good things but he was no saint.

Jackson was an anti Semite. He wrote and performed a song that has the lyrics:

“Jew me, sue me

Everybody do me

Kick me, kike me

Don’t you black or white me”

He somehow escaped serious problems after this song though many were upset. Jackson said he would redo the song with the words changed but he did not. He evidently hated Jews. Then again, maybe he hated blacks the way he kept trying to get whiter.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are out with their tributes (anything for face time) but since they are both anti Semites it is not surprising that they would embrace Michael’s life.

Jackson also had several problems with accusations of child molestation. The alleged incidents involved young boys and Jackson ended up spending millions to pay them and their families off. When he actually went to trial it was a media circus and the thing that saved him was the inconsistency of the stories of the accuser and his mother. That does not mean Jackson was innocent.

He served children alcohol and allowed them to sleep in his bed. This is disturbing and strengthens the argument of his deteriorating mental health.

While I freely admit that Jackson was a talented artist I cannot see how people can forget what his life was and the bad things he did. He was no hero, he was no idol, he was no role model. He was a troubled soul who hated Jews and molested children.

If it had been my son Jackson would have died at a much younger age and the cause of death would have been something close to lead poisoning.

Michael Jackson was a tortured, twisted soul who lived a dark and dirty life (particularly later on) where the good he did was overshadowed by his hatred for Jews and his “love” for little boys. Those who are raising him to the level of sainthood ignore his serious flaws and leave the message that it is OK to do horrible things if you are famous and talented.

Jackson’s death overshadowed the death of Farah Fawcett earlier in the day. I read that Fawcett died and went to Heaven. The Lord asked her what she wanted and she said that she wanted the world to be safer for children.

Jackson died later that day.

I hope his tortured soul finds peace in the afterlife but I will not be celebrating his life or mourning his death. Aside from his artistic talent, I see nothing special about him.

What A Difference A Messiah Makes

When George Bush was president he had the terrorists who were caught on the battlefield held at various prisons and they were supposed to be tried under military commissions. Some were not, others were just held without being charged and others were deemed not to be a threat but no country would take them including the ones from which they came. Some said they could not go back or they would be executed (and people complain about how our government treats them).

The liberal left and their sock puppets at the ACLU were beside themselves. How dare Bush hold these people indefinitely without a trial or charges. We picked them up on a battlefield so let’s call them prisoners of war. We can hold them for a long time like until the war is over. The left did not like that and I can sympathize. This is not like a normal war where our enemy wears uniforms and represent a country. The terrorists are cowards who sneak around and fight for the cause regardless of what country they are from or which one they are in. But is it our fault no one will take them? Is it our fault that they were caught on a battlefield? If you don’t want to get caught don’t be on the battlefield.

Barack Obama said he would close Gitmo by January 2010 but he is finding it difficult to get rid of the detainees. He is learning that campaign rhetoric is one thing but when you actually have the information in front of you that things are a lot different. However, Obama is about to take care of this. The administration is carefully crafting an Executive Order allowing the indefinite imprisonment of some Gitmo detainees who are deemed to dangerous to send to trial or to release.

What was that? Obama is going to sign an Executive Order allowing the same thing that Bush did. Well where is the outrage by the left? The ACLU is up in arms but where are the morons at Kos? Where are the HuffPo blowhards? Where are the Code Pink twits? Where are all these groups that had epileptic seizures over this issue?

Seems that there is not much opposition when the messiah decides to do this. However, it is not final and the story hit just before the weekend, a classic way to avoid scrutiny and it was released at a time the news is dominated by the death of pop culture idol Michael Jackson.

Let’s see how this plays out. Will the Democrats oppose this? Will they lose their minds or will they embrace it? Will they do like that moron Olberman who praises Obama for things that Bush did and which earned the scorn of the dork at PMSNBC?

I think we should hold them as long as we need to. If they can be released we need to keep looking for places that will take them (the USA is not an option) just like Bush did. If we have people who can be tried then we should have a trial and if they win they get to go home, not stay here.

We also need to tell our troops that capturing these people on the battlefield is not an option. Shoot to kill them all and we will not have to worry about this.

However, the issue here is Obama and his endorsement of the policies of George Bush and the relatively little notice it has gotten. If Obama keeps endorsing the tactics of Bush then Bush’s place in history will be a good one that Democrats cannot debate (it will be good regardless).

Where is that fickle left? I want to see the outrage from the same groups that went after Bush. I want to see them have some guts and stand up for what they say they believe in.

Fat chance. They voted for this piker and they will do everything to make sure he is a “success.”
