Obama; The Vote Whisperer

Barack Obama did not learn much from the ass kicking his party took on Tuesday. That was to be expected because he learned nothing in 2010 when he took a similar ass kicking. The big difference between then and now is that the Republican party took control of the Senate giving it control of both chambers of Congress.
It is also not surprising that Obama would not get the point because he is a narcissist. It can’t possibly be because of him.
When he gave his post election press conference he seemed to gloss over the people that turned out to vote against him and his policies (he did say they were on the ballot) and instead looked at those who did not vote. He discussed the election from the point of view that more people voted when he was on the ballot as if that is some revelation. More people turn out during ALL presidential elections.
But Obama seems to think that those who did not turn out now but who did then still want him to take the path he has chosen. He seems to think that because they did not show up they still support him.
Let me make it easy for him. If they still supported you they would have gotten out and voted. They would have seen the polls, they would have paid attention and they would have voted to stop what happened from happening.
Instead they chose to stay home. Obama, always the narcissist, seems to think that he still has a mandate from those people to continue on the path he is on regardless of what just happened.
No Barry. If they wanted you to continue they would have shown up. They cared so little about you and your failed presidency they could not be bothered to vote.
Barry’s belief is that the mandate he thinks he has comes from the people who did not vote instead of those who vote. In other words, those who voted did not vote the way he wanted so he will just assume that those who did not vote would have done it his way. He is the vote whisperer who can channel the desires of those who did not vote.
What he needs is to have his ass spanked by the Republican controlled Congress. He needs to get bill after bill that he can pass or veto. Let the country see who the real obstructionist is.
And if he works outside of his Constitutional authority he needs to be taken to the woodshed.
I will put it to Barry in words he can understand and that he actually used in the past.

Duck And Cover Democrats

The Democrats shut down the government last October, of this there can be no doubt. I know they blamed Republicans who asked for a number of concessions including repealing Obamacare. Of course Democrats would not do that so Republicans asked for a delay in the Individual Mandate so that the people being affected by the law would have a reprieve.
Absolutely not was the response from Democrats.
The government shut down and there was uproar as Barack Obama worked to make it seem as uncomfortable as possible. We can’t have this government shut down because people depend on it (which is a problem as far as I am concerned).
[note]Interestingly, no one in DC screams that the people need the government and that it can’t shut down when it closes every time there is a bad snowstorm. The government has shut down a number of times this winter due to bad weather and no one in government had an issue with it.[/note]
But the very reprieve that Republicans were asking for, a delay in the Individual Mandate, has been granted by Imperial Leader Obama. He caught hell for all the cancellations and his lie about keeping your plan if you liked it was exposed. So Obama, who could have avoided the shutdown and the embarrassment of his lie being exposed in October, extended the Mandate. He pushed it a year down the road. He could have done that in October and the government would not have shut down so he is responsible despite what the left tells you.
But a problem happened when he extended the deadline a year. The extension could result in a nasty election day for Democrats because insurance companies are required by law to send out cancellation notices 90 days before the cancellation.
Those notices will go out about five weeks before the November midterm election and a lot of anger will be pointed at Democrats.
You see, no Republican voted for Obamacare. The Democrats used a lot of back room deals to get enough of their own to vote for it so they own it. It has been a disaster and many of them will be fighting for their political lives. The last thing they need is the cancellations that would have come out earlier this past year to start coming out just before the election. This will remind all voters that Obamacare took away their plans and give them plenty of reason to vote them out of office.
Barack Obama to the rescue.
Obama is set to announce another extension of the mandate and the sole reason is so that the cancellation notices do not come out prior to the election. It is already unconstitutional for him to change the law as he has done over 20 times but now he is playing political games with this change. There is no reason for the extension to be granted except to provide cover for vulnerable Democrats.
The constant changes from Obama have caused problems for insurance companies because they need a stable environment in order to assess the cost of coverage and to adjust premiums. In the ever changing Obamacare world they are unable to run their businesses. Here is what they should do. The law requires them to send the notices no later than 90 days but as far as I am aware there is no restriction on sending them out earlier.
These companies should send out the notices so that they reach people prior to the election. People need to know what lies ahead before they vote.
Of course, people need to be responsible too. They know that millions were dumped from their plans and they know that Obama lied when he told them they could keep them if they liked them so they need to understand that the extension only delays the inevitable.
Regardless of when the extension ends they will still lose their plans. They need to understand that Obama is only doing what he is doing to help Democrats avoid defeat in November.
Remember, these politicians only care about you when they want your vote. Once you put them back in office they will screw you every way they can. Dump them in November and get some fresh blood in there to shake things up and ensure your interests are taken into consideration.
It is amazing to me Obama has the nerve to claim that Putin is violating International Law when Obama is busy breaking American law.
Send him a message and cripple him in the next election. We might not be able to get anything passed because he has a veto pen BUT we can make him a true lame duck who cannot force his agenda on an unwilling population.

Obama Using IRS Again

King B. Hussein Obama the First has again violated the Constitution by issuing orders that directly contradict a duly enacted law. Obamacare was passed by DEMOCRATS in Congress and signed into law by DEMOCRAT Obama and the SCOTUS rewrote the law to allow it. That law has set dates for things to happen but things are not going well with Obamacare and Democrats are worried they will lose the Senate in the next election.
So, King Obama pushed certain employer mandates past the next election so that the mindless people will forget about the problems and the certain disaster and vote the loveable Democrats back into office. By the way, these are the same delays Republicans wanted and Obama and Reid refused resulting in the Democrat shut down of the federal government.
[note]Keep in mind the disaster of millions losing jobs and/or insurance will not be prevented. It will just be delayed until after the election. Once they are back in office the mess will occur and there will be nothing you can do about it. Vote them out this November and put an end to this insanity.[/note]
The problem is Obama’s edicts do not comply with the law. As the Executive he is not allowed to change laws.
The edicts affect businesses that employ certain numbers of full time employees. Obama’s henchmen at the IRS have been tasked with intimidating these businesses not to fire people because of Obamacare. Well really they are intimidating them into NOT claiming it was because of Obamacare.
The smart employer knows that if he has to comply with the law if he has 100 employees then he can avoid the law by firing enough people to get below that threshold. The IRS will force businesses to swear, under penalty of perjury, that it did not fire people to avoid Obamacare and its mandates.
The numbers deal with full time workers because the law already allows for employers to avoid Obamacare for part time employees (fewer than 30 hours per week).
So the goon squad at the IRS, fresh off illegally targeting conservative groups, will now force businesses to swear that they are not dumping employees because of (or to avoid) Obamacare.
This is insane. Employers are free to hire and fire people for whatever reason they want. There is no need to let the government know why.
But since the IRS will be used as the enforcement arm and since members of Congress refuse to stop the lawless Obama (particularly the jelly spined Republicans) businesses will likely have to comply or face the wrath of an unleashed IRS.
But wait, what will stop a business with too many employees from reducing hours of those workers so they fall below the 30 hours required to provide insurance? A smart business owner could very easily reduce hours until the number of full time employees is below the 50 or 100 level and thus avoid the Obamacare mandates.
Reduced hours means less pay (which is probably why Democrats are pushing for a minimum wage increase. Well that and buying votes) but does that matter if you are trying to run a business without going bankrupt from Obamacare (in addition to the numerous other government regulations)?
Yep, if I owned a business I would fire employees who voted for Obama. If I faced the IRS goons and could not do it I would reduce the Obama voter’s hours to under 30. The law is specific about the hour requirement.
Then again, the tyrant King has not followed the law as of yet so I suspect that once he figures this out he will issue new orders for the IRS.
[note]The reality is the Democrats do not want businesses talking about firing people because of Obamacare. They know it will happen but if it is discussed they might lose more votes so they are using the IRS to issue a sort of gag order. Fire people and swear it was not because of Obamacare so then you can’t go out and say it was…[/note]
Voters need to strengthen the Republican numbers in the House and retake the Senate (with a big majority) and this will put a stop to Obama and Harry Reid and their destruction of the country.
It will also give us the numbers needed to impeach the King.
But only if they grow a spine along the way.
As an aside, Obama and I have something in common. He sees fit not to follow the law. So do I…

Democrats In Panic Mode

It looks like it was not a good day for Obamacare and by extension, all those law makers who pushed it. While it is certainly too early to tell and anything can change, it appears that the government had a bad day in front of the Supreme Court. The Solicitor General was so bad that Justice Ginsburg and Justice Kagan interjected to help him out. They were pushing him in the right direction and assisting him in making his case. By the way, Kagan should have recused herself but she is a liberal and they have no ethical principles.
The conservative Justices asked tough and pointed questions that the SG was not prepared to answer. The left has hopes it can pluck one of the conservative justices and win a 5-4 decision (because the liberals will obviously never vote in favor of the Constitution) and they might succeed. Some are left wondering if Roberts or Kennedy will be that fifth vote and most say it is too close to call. I think it will be 5-4 overturning but it would not surprise me to see the thing go the other way.
Our Supreme Court has been a political branch rather than a judicial overseer for far too long and has engaged in social engineering many times. I believe that it is a sad thing that there is not a unanimous decision against something the Constitution does not allow. To see that a number of our highest judges can’t get on board with the Law of the Land is disheartening.
However, I can understand why the Court is confused. The Obama regime called the fine a penalty and then a tax and then a penalty and then a tax and Obama has argued both sides of the mandate. He argued one way as a candidate and another after he won (he was against it before he was for it). This is well illustrated in this video:
This very plainly shows that Obama argued one thing when he wanted you to vote for him (which many of you foolishly did) and then another way after he suckered you into voting for him. This is probably the kind of deception he was signaling when he told the Russians to give him space because he would have more flexibility after the election. Imagine how he could really screw us over when he does not have to worry about reelection…
Like I indicated, it is too early to tell and we really won’t know for sure until the ruling comes out in June but the talking heads were very sure that today was a bad day for the government. The Obama media were all sweating bullets, NPR, CNN, and the rest were in disbelief.
They are already writing the mandate off.
Next up is the severability. If they overturn the mandate will they trash the entire law or just the mandate? There is no severability clause so the entire thing should go but it is unlikely they will do that.
What does it mean? If they only throw out the mandate the other parts of the law will cause private insurance companies a lot of headaches and the Democrats would love nothing more than to have that happen so they could push for a single payer system. Many on the left say that Obama wins either way but I am not so sure.
If it is upheld then it will cause more Republicans to go to the polls to vote in people who will overturn it.
If only the mandate is overturned then Republicans will work just as hard to vote people in to get rid of the rest.
If it is completely overturned then all the people in Congress who voted for this will be painted as people who forced unconstitutional legislation down our throats and the deals and bribes will be brought to bear on them in the election.
In any event, the last two scenarios will cause a lot of Democrats heartburn as they worry about how it will affect their jobs…
It looks now like it might have been a bad idea for Obama to insult the justices during his State of the Union address. It certainly looks like his vote against John Roberts to be on the Court was unwise.
Not that the judges would hold a grudge…
But who would blame them?

So Much for Democratic Fiscal Responsibility

Citizens Against Government Waste is putting the finishing touches on its pork report for the year and what they will report is not pretty. There were 8000 earmarks totaling 20 billion dollars. That is 20 billion dollars in taxpayer money that was flushed down the drain by the Democratic Congress, the ones who promised to put an end to waste and be a more efficient government. The truth is they could not keep their money grubbing hands out of our pockets and they could not exercise any control. For those who say the government should tax the hell out of us to provide unconstitutional social programs, here is 20 billion dollars that could have provided services without raising taxes.
Of course, I do not believe in universal health care or other government run and government provided services but if I did I would be asking how we can afford this kind of waste and not the items that Democrats think are important. The Republican led Congress (and President Bush for that matter) was no better but they lost last year so this is on the new majority. The Democrats campaigned on their ability to fix these kinds of things and now it is glaringly obvious that they are unable. They lack control and they lack responsibility.
Democrats like to say we need to end the war because that is why they were elected. They campaigned on ending the war along with the promise to be responsible with our money so that means if ending the war was a mandate, so was being fiscally responsible. They have failed miserably on both counts.
I do not think the election was a mandate on the war but this is what they think. So they are not free to cherry pick what they were elected to do. They promised to be responsible with our money and they have not been. This is another reason we need the line item veto and it is a very good example of why we should never trust Democrats.
There should be no doubt that they are truly the tax and spend party.
