Biden’s Lies Are A Government Invention

Joe “Gaff-o-matic” Biden is out on the campaign trail trying to scare up votes for his party in what is looking more and more like a TEANAMI heading for November 2nd. He is out there trying to make people believe that the things they have done are great and the idea is that we need the big government agenda of Obama in order to survive. According to Joe, government is so important that it was responsible for all the great inventions of the last 200 years. Joe had this to say:

“Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive.” New York Daily News

He went on to say that Lincoln paid people to lay railroad tracks and that private sector could not do that for 35 more years. The implication being that, of course, government can do it all and is better than the private sector. The reality is that if we spend enough money on something we could get anyone to do it. Why would a private business pay to lay track when government was shelling out loads of money to do it? If it had been done by private business it would have been cheaper, better done, and not been as much a burden to the taxpayer.

But what is Joe saying? He is telling us that every great idea in the last 200 years required government vision and incentive.

Here is a list of things that have been invented in the last 100 years or so. These inventions started as someone’s idea and eventually became reality. However, none of them required government vision or incentive:

  1. The Radio
  2. The zipper
  3. The Gillette disposable razor
  4. Television
  5. penicillin
  6. The ball point pen
  7. SCUBA
  8. The airplane
  9. Bourbon
  10. Baseball
  11. The artificial heart
  12. The light bulb
  13. The computer
  14. The telephone
  15. The sewing machine
  16. The telegraph
  17. polio vaccine
  18. Air conditioning

This is but a short list of things that were a vision that became reality because of the absence of government, not the presence of it. These were invented by people who were curious or who wanted to make money, or both. Some were the result of searching for solutions to certain needs. Bell invented the telephone while working on sound with regard to the deaf (he had deaf family members). They were not taking some vision from government and then getting an incentive from government to bring the government’s vision to reality.

These people worked on their own ideas and their own visions in order to invent a product that benefited mankind. In some cases, items are invented to circumvent government oppression. NASCAR would not have come about had it not been for prohibition and the tricked out cars used to run moonshine.

As Ronald Reagan said; “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

So despite what Biden said, the great things we have were developed by people who had their own visions and who did not get incentives from government (though there are certainly things invented as a result of government intervention). About the only thing government is good at inventing are the stories its members continue to tell us. The biggest invention this week that required government vision and incentive was the lie Biden told.

One only needs read what Biden used as his example. If what he said was true then certainly he could have come up with an example that was more recent than the Civil War.

Democrats believe that government is the only entity that can do something and that we must allow it to get bigger and bigger so that it can continue doing things.

Unfortunately, most of what it does it is not supposed to do and the things it is supposed to do it does not do very well or in a cost effective manner.

But Biden wants you to vote for more of that.

Next Tuesday you get to tell Joe that the people of this country run the show. Let us wash the big government progressives out of government.

Let’s make it a TEANAMI.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Hunkerin’ Down

Well, the day is coming that Barama will have a stranglehold on the capitalist system- the only way this could be averted would be if politicians found some testicular fortitude and opposed him and his posse in their quest to re- make America into the Socialist paradise they envision. Yeah, like that’s going to happen.

I have spoken to several liberals who just think this is not going to be the scenario I envision, even after I tell them the steps that must be taken to become socialist, and they AGREE that these things are happening.
Things such as converting the U.S. Federal loans for banking institutions from preferred, or non- voting stock, into common stock, effectively nationalizing the U.S. banking industry.

Dictating the salaries of executives, even those not directly attached to the TARP funds.

Nationalizing the auto industry to the benefit of the unions, and detriment of the investors, including the U.S. taxpayers, who will not get ANY of the 20- 30 billion dollars we will have put into the auto companies.

Even using the TARP funds was an unconscionable abuse of both taxpayer monies, and governmental power.

Not to mention giving billions to alleged “Community Groups” engaged in organized fraud and strong arm tactics benefitting Barama and his cronies.

Along the lines of do as we say, and not as we do, otherwise known as rank hypocrisy and/ or blatant lies, despite claiming that he loves the environment ( I doubt that he has ever been in a national park- nature abhors a vacuum)- his Inaugural emitted over 500 million pounds of Co2, and cost, in a lousy economic climate, 170 million, more than Bush’s Inaugural. What a hypocrite.

The truly disturbing thing is that Congress, which has traditionally held onto it’s power and legislative turf jealously, surrendering no ground to the Executive branch, has rolled over like a cur dog showing its belly in abject cowardice. The houses of Congress should act as a brake on the dictatorial demands of this megalomaniac, but instead, they seem to be mesmerized into tiny little yes- men (oh- and women too).

Well, I have done what I could to weather this sorry period in our nation’s history, transferring all my funds out of the bank I used (It took the TARP), and put it in a bank that was smart. I cashed my stock when it went from 14,000 to 13,000, and diversified into safer, and more lucrative areas. All my property is paid off, and I have a large veggie garden that, while it tears me to pieces to work it, still gives us a good yield. I have the ability to shoot game if I need to, and I am lucky- I can “Hunker Down”, as they say around here.

I feel for the people who are in apartments where they cannot rightly garden- if I was living in an apartment, i would organize people into a communal garden. Grow tomatoes on the back porch, or zucchini on the balconies. Trade veggies to hedge against the cost of food. In subdivisions, find out about backyard gardens- can you? If so, grow what you like, and what you can eat or trade with others.

Read books- I know, it seems anachronistic to even deal with books in the age of the computer, but it’s low on the energy usage scale, and you can use a book to level the legs on a table. Of course you can use one of Barama’s speeches to level the table also- that might just be it’s only useful purpose.

At any rate, there are alternatives to living as we have been, and you need to find them quickly, because we will not have this level of comfort again, possibly in our lifetimes, as long as Barama gets his policies enacted by his lapdog Congress. Third- world status, here we come.

You will need to learn to can vegetables and fruits, and read by candlelight- what the heck- Lincoln did it, I am sure that Barama feels that we can do it too, and we will need to as the “Green” technology doubles our energy bills and we can no longer afford to light our homes. But that’s OK, isn’t it, as long as Barama gets his way.

Gee, wouldn’t you hate to disappoint the great Barama?

This will just be like being trapped outside in a thunderstorm-

Just hunker down.

What President Is Obama Like?

We have heard references to Lincoln who I heard is Obama’s favorite president. Obama swore in on Lincoln’s Bible, which was purchased the day of his [Lincoln’s] inauguration because he did not have his family Bible. I have heard the comparisons to FDR and given that Obama has spent a trillion dollars to pay off political favors I would say that he is like FDR except he spent a hell of a lot more. I have compared Obama to Carter because he is doing some of the things Carter did that hurt us for a long time. But I think Obama has demonstrated that he is more like Richard Nixon right about now.

Obama is following in Nixon’s footsteps in that he has an enemies list consisting of people in the media. Before some liberal gets his panties in a bunch, it only has to be a list committed to memory, not written down. However, since Obama’s henchmen have been plotting to go after one of these people since the latter part of last year, I think it is safe to say that this is a tactic and not a passing fancy.

The people on the list, so far, are Jim Cramer, Rick Santelli, and Rush Limbaugh. It would seem that every time a personality on radio or TV has something to say about The Evil One, that person is called out by the petty players in the White House.

Limbaugh is on the list because the Democrats think they can make a case that he leads the Republican party and that he wants America to suffer financial ruin. None of this is true and the Democrats are taking him out of context. They think they can get the best of him but he can gin up quite a bit of support for a lot of things.

Limbaugh will make them look like fools when all is said and done. The White House is all bluster and even though nobody messes with Joe and Obama, the metrosexual, talked tough about being ready for a fight nothing could be farther from the truth. Obama plays Chicago politics and would rather have someone cap you in an alley than confront you head on.

Limbaugh has already fired a response salvo. He challenged Obama to a debate at his studio, on his radio program, at a time convenient for Obama. Rush offered to send his private jet for Obama, send a caravan of SUVs to pick him up, put him up in a 5 star hotel and to have that $100 a pound steak Obama likes flown in. Limbaugh said he would foot the bill for it all so that it cost no taxpayer money (except obviously the routine expenses like Secret Service) if Obama would come to debate him.

Limbaugh made a good point when he said that if Obama debates and wins he will have the country to himself. Of course, I doubt Obama could debate Limbaugh in the arena of ideas and even come close to winning. This would be especially true since Limbaugh said just you and me. No advisors, no teleprompters, no note cards, no nothing but the two of them.

There is no way Obama will accept this offer. He knows he has more to lose than to gain. Yes, he would have the country in his hand if he won but if he lost he would be toast. By doing nothing he stays above the fray (well, he does that anyway by having his henchmen do the assaulting) and he does not have to worry.

I think it was a tactical blunder for the Obama folks to directly attack people in the media, especially Rush Limbaugh. When this is all said and done Limbaugh will have made them look foolish as he has done time and again.

Anyway, all the talk about who Obama is like is moot now. With his enemies list he is like Nixon.

Barack Milhous Hussein Obama.

Wonder if he has the place bugged…
