Obama Ayers Dirty Laundry

Barack Obama has been asked about his ties to Bill Ayers a few times and he has given evasive answers. He has changed his story and he has lied about Ayers. Obama always minimizes the relationship. Obama never got a half way decent questioning about his ties to this domestic terrorist until Bill O’Reilly interviewed Obama on the Factor. Obama would never have done that interview if he were not tanking in the polls.

Anyway, Obama has made several claims regarding his affiliation with Bill Ayers. This video is from when he was running for the US Senate. He cites the job at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge as experience for the job of US Senator. Barack Obama, in this video, tells us that the job Bill Ayers (a man he hardly knows) gave him qualifies him to be a Senator. I know Obama would like people to believe that he has minimal ties to this cretin but since Ayers has been more than a passing acquaintance, Obama is lying.

Maybe these items from WND are just a bunch of cruel lies made up by John McCain to hurt Obama’s image. Or maybe he associates with terrorists.

Obama’s characterization of his relationship with Ayers as “somebody who worked on education issues in Chicago that I know” barely scratches the surface of his dealings with the Ayers.

In 1995, the first organizing meeting for Obama’s state senatorial campaign was reportedly held in Ayers’s apartment.

Ayers was one of the original grantees of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, or CAC, a school reform organization in the 1990s, and was co-chairman of the Chicago School Reform Collaborative, one the two operational arms of the CAC. In 1995, Obama became chairman of the CAC under Ayers’ leadership.

In a widely circulated article, WND first reported Obama served on the board of the Wood’s Fund, a liberal Chicago nonprofit, alongside Ayers from 1999 to Dec. 11, 2002, according to the Fund’s website. According to tax filings, Obama received compensation of $6,000 per year for his service in 1999 and 2000.

A $200 campaign contribution from Ayers is listed April 2, 2001, by the “Friends of Barack Obama” campaign fund.

The two appeared together as speakers at several public events, including a 1997 University of Chicago panel entitled, “Should a child ever be called a ’super predator?’” and another panel for the University of Illinois in April 2002 entitled, “Intellectuals: Who Needs Them?” WND

Yep, that Barack Obama keeps some rather strange company. And while the MSM and Obama camp send an army of people to Alaska to dig up dirt on Sarah Palin, Obama is not questioned about his ties to terrorists (except for O’Reilly). What are the odds that the MSM will sit Obama down and ask him the really hard questions. Despite what some liberals think, Obama has been asked very few tough questions and there is never follow up regardless of his answer. They are in the tank for him and the way ABC edited the Palin interview should leave no doubt that they were working for the Obama campaign. It is indisputable.

Fortunately, Obama is suffering a meltdown and is beginning to lose real estate in the battleground states. It is too early for predictions but, at least for now, things are looking good for McCain.

I am reminded of what Jay from STACLU asked; What do Osama bin Laden and Barack Obama have in common? They both have friends who bombed the Pentagon…

Obama’s New Ad Invites Scrutiny

Barack Obama and his campaign have vowed to come out swinging and put up a more aggressive fight. Obama feels that the Republicans are liars and that he must defend his honor and his chances by hitting them hard. His newest “hard hit” is an ad that makes a bad attempt at painting John McCain as someone who has not changed.

The ad starts off with the year 1982 emblazoned on the screen and McCain with a pair of big out of style glasses and says that in 1982 McCain went to Washington. Then we see a disco ball, a huge cell phone, Rubik’s Cube, and a computer with an email icon. The narrator explains that a lot has changed since then but McCain has not. Then it disparages him because he does not use a computer and does not know how to send email.

I think the ad will backfire. I know Obama is trying to hit the younger crowd. You know that crowd. It is full of self absorbed people who seek instant gratification and who always have to have the latest and greatest electronic gadget and can’t function without a cell phone stuck in their ears. This is the crowd that cannot find Vietnam (or many countries including the US) on a globe. Obama is appealing to them by deriding a man who is of a generation that is the least tech savvy. The ad is trying to show McCain has not changed but many elderly will see it as an attack on senior citizens. Obama might lose a number of people from a generation that is the most reliable voting block by trying to appeal to those who traditionally do not show up on election day.

That is a possibility but I think Obama has made a much more serious error. He has opened up the past as an avenue for exploration. Of course he has had his army of dirt bags in Alaska trying to dig up dirt from Sarah Palin’s past but Barry does not like to discuss his own past. We know the buzz words; too young, in the past, distraction, yada, yada, yada. The past is probably on the list of things Barry will not allow to be discussed but he has opened that door.

Obama opened up his past by discussing McCain’s and he could pay for that. It will now be fair to question Obama about his drug use when he used all kinds of drugs and used them a lot. He has stated that his drug use was his greatest moral failure and that it was a bad choice. Since Joe Biden said Hillary would have been a better pick than he, we can make the case that Obama made bad choices then and he makes bad choices now.

The first pinhead who talks about McCain being stuck in the past and not about change can expect to be asked about Obama’s drug use and how he can possibly be change we can believe in when he still makes bad choices.

BTW, McCain reads email but does not send it and he knows how to use a computer (not terribly well). The Obama ad does not mention that Bill Clinton only sent 2 emails during his term and said he did not understand the internet (and the inventor of it was his VP). McCain said he talks to people by phone and that he uses the internet to read his daughter’s blog and the news. However, he is unable to type effectively because of his war injuries. NRO reports this from a story that appeared in the Boston Globe in 2000. NRO also makes this point:

Oh one last point for now: Lord knows I think the chicken-hawk arguments are stupid. And I don’t think the fact that Obama never served in the military should count against him in and of itself. But how stupid is it for the Obama campaign to claim that McCain is unqualified to be president because he can’t grasp cyber-security issues based on the fact he has never sent an email when the McCain campaign can just as easily say Obama can’t understand first order national security issues because he’s never fired a rife, flown a plane, commanded men in battle, or faced an enemy? I mean which prepares someone to be commander in chief better, hitting “send” on AOL or fighting a war? [emphasis mine]

You Can’t Make Things Up Mr. Obama

Barack Hussein Obama has been in a tizzy since a girl beat him up and he has been trying to regain his mojo for the past two weeks. In campaign appearances this week he said that McCain and Palin were being untruthful about her statement that she said no thanks to the bridge to nowhere. As an aside, she ran on the idea that money committed to it should remain committed until the problem was evaluated. When it was clear that the federal government was not interested in committing more money to it she decided that there were more pressing issues in Alaska and used the money for other infrastructure items. BTW, 65% of Alaska is under federal government control so a lot of federal money goes there.

Back to the point. Obama chided McCain and Palin and said “you can’t make stuff up.” He repeated this several times for emphasis. Basically, he said that McCain and Palin were liars and making up stories. Obama expects truth and I have to agree with him; you can’t make stuff up. So let us take a look at how well he has followed that line of thought.

Barack Obama said “I have never been a Muslim.”
The reality is, school records from his time in Indonesia show that he was registered, in both schools he attended, as a Muslim. Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Barack Obama said he never practiced Islam. He also said he never attended a Mosque.
The reality is that Barack Obama practiced Islam as a child. He attended a Christian school, was registered as a Muslim and had to read the Koran and go to Mosque. People who knew him said that he attended Mosque. Additionally, in his book, Dreams of My Father, Obama wrote about how he got in trouble for making faces in Koran studies. One does not study the Koran if one is not a Muslim. Obama is also able to recite the opening lines of Arabic call to prayer and does it with a good accent. Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Before radical Obama followers attack me for mentioning Islam and Muslims, let me quote the Jerusalem Post because I agree with it.

OBAMA’S HAVING been born and raised a Muslim and having left the faith to become a Christian make him neither more nor less qualified to become president of the United States. But if he was born and raised a Muslim and is now hiding that fact, this points to a major deceit, a fundamental misrepresentation about himself that has profound implications about his character and his suitability as president.

Barack Obama said he has always been a Christian.
The reality is that Barack Obama was a Muslim at one time. I have shown this and the JP article goes into greater detail leaving no doubt that this is the case. Additionally, Obama has stated on a number of occasions that he converted to Christianity in the 1990s after attending services at Reverend Wright’s church. If he converted in 1990 then the youngest age he could have been was 28 depending on when in the year he converted. This begs the question; what was he before he converted? He did not say he became a Christian as in he really had no religious affiliation. He said he converted so it is only fair to ask; from what? Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Barack Obama said he would accept and use public funds for his campaign. In fact, he would “aggressively pursue an agreement” [for both candidates to accept public funds] with whomever was his opponent.
The reality is that Barack Obama did not aggressively pursue public funding. He decided to reject it with the expectation that he would continue to bring in huge amounts of cash from donors (how is that working out). Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Obama said; “Selma got me born.”
The reality is that Selma happened 4 years after he was born so it had no affect on his birth. Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Obama called the money Edwards and Clinton received from unions “special interest ” money as a way to show them in the back pockets of special interests.
The reality is that Obama now gets a boatload of money from unions but now he calls them representatives of working people and he is thrilled to have their money support. Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Obama said [to a union audience]; “I happen to be a proponent of single-payer universal healthcare coverage. That’s what I’d like to see.”
The reality is that during one of the primary debates Obama said [about healthcare]; “I never said that we should try to go ahead and get single-payer.” Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

Obama, in 2004, ruled out running for national office.
I think we all know the reality of that one. Hey Barry, you can’t make stuff up.

I think this is sufficient and by now you get the point. None of his toadies will see the contradiction and I am willing to bet at least one of them will defend him in the comments.

Did Obama Tell A Lie About Desire To Join Military?

Barack Obama must need more sleep and after the week he has had he must need a cigarette. The Sainted One was on This Week with George Stephanopoulos and he made two mistakes. The first one dealt with the smears against candidates and he stated that the McCain campaign had not brought up “My Muslim faith”. I know what he meant but it was certainly a slip of the tongue he does not need because under Islam one may lie to further the religion. How many will see it this way? Fortunately for Obama, George was there to correct him like a good Democrat. Obama went on to say how McCain surrogates had been the ones and completely ignored the fact that Hillary and her peeps were the ones to spread this all over during the primary. That is what ticks me off the most about Obama’s answer.

There is one item that is more than likely an outright lie. Obama was asked if he had ever considered joining the military and he said he had. This little tidbit has NEVER been mentioned during the oh so long campaign and according to the news, Obama did not mention this in either of his books. One would think that might be a big deal. It is likely that Obama is lying about this in order to ingratiate himself with people who actually support the military. The second part of the lie comes in when he said he had to register for the Selective Service when he graduated from high school. There was no registration for the Selective Service when Obama graduated.

The draft and the Selective Service registration were ended by Republican presidents (Nixon and Ford respectively) and the new registration requirement was instituted by a Democrat, Jimmy Carter. Yes, Obama was required to register but he graduated in 1979 and the registration was reinstated in 1980. Therefore, Obama was not required to register when he graduated, as he claims in the interview. He was not required to register until a year later.

Obama claims that he decided against joining because we were not engaged in an actual conflict at that time (though we were in a standoff with Iran over hostages, depending when he thought about it in 1979). I guess we are supposed to believe that the guy who wants a defeat in Iraq was willing to join the service, had we been at war.

It is more likely that Obama realizes his life lacks in military service when one considers the other three candidates. Biden has a son in the Guard who will deploy next year, McCain served and has two sons in the service and Palin has a son in the military who is deploying this week. Obama is the odd person out having never served and having children who are too young to serve (and will never serve anyway).

I think this is a huge lie on the part of Obama. People can defend him if they want but the timeline of the draft registration coupled with the fact that he never mentioned this in his books or during this campaign tells me that it was recently concocted.

Telegraph UK

Neither the Telegraph or Stephanopoulos pointed out the inaccuracies.

UPDATE: It is possible that Obama made a mistake when he said he registered when he graduated from high school but I find it unlikely he would not know that he registered while in college. Besides, he specifically said when he graduated, not after and he made a big deal about being in Hawaii and all the military bases. Bottom line, if it were true that he considered joining he would have mentioned it in one of his books.

One Man’s Smear Campaign…

…Is Another Man’s Modern Political Warfare

The left is in disarray after John McCain selected Sarah Palin as his running mate. The Obama campaign was ready to attack all the other people mentioned as potential mates but missed out on Palin because, like the other women in politics, the left dismissed her as unimportant.

This does not mean the smear campaign did not go out in full swing. The immediate response from the Obama campaign was a dismissal of her qualifications to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. The candidates were a bit more professional later in the day but their surrogates on the left were ready to take up arms. The Democratic Underground is circulating a rumor that Palin’s fifth child, Trig, is not hers but her daughter’s and that the father of the child is the girl’s father. The story is unbelievable and unsubstantiated but that did not stop the left from admitting that it was false but that the rumors were a necessary part of modern political campaigns. This is from a post that has since been removed (quote thanks to Atlas Shrugs):

NoodleyAppendage (1000+ posts) Sat Aug-30-08 10:26

122. What many here don’t understand. It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. RUMOR IS TRUTH.

The modern laws of media hype and political warfare have a useful tenet:

Repeat ANYTHING or raise false concern over ANYTHING and it is likely to be planted in the conscious/subconscious of many voters.

If people start to think that there might be something fishy with Palin’s last kid (if hers), then that’s FINE. One more doubt (whether tied to reality or not) is another hesitation at the ballot box.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM PEOPLE. The “rising above it” bullshit has served us so well in the past, hasn’t it?

If you have problems with the story, then STFU and get out of the way of Dems who are engaged in MODERN POLITICAL WARFARE. Go tend your garden or some other pedestrian task, because the “concern trolls” are not helping shape the message. [bold emphasis mine]

It is important to repeat anything and raise FALSE concern. In other words, keep telling lies over and over until people believe them. To them it is important to shape the message even if the message is false. These are the same people who foam at the mouth every time someone mentions Obama and Muslim in the same sentence. When people called Obama a Muslim or showed him in Muslim garb (some of which were sent by the Clinton campaign) the same people did not call this modern political warfare. Instead, they called it a smear campaign.

Obama’s reaction to the truthful ad (at the bottom of my sidebar) was to try to use the legal system to shut down free speech. He certainly did not call it modern political warfare. The discussions about Wright, Rezko and Ayers were never viewed as anything more than distractions and dirty politics manufactured by the Republicans (and Hillary’s people in the primary). I never recall these same political warriors calling it modern political warfare.

The American people are well within their right to properly explore Sarah Palin to ensure she is worthy of the office of Vice President just as they have a right to ensure Obama is worthy of the Presidency. However, they deserve to have accurate and truthful information on which to base their opinions about the candidates.

The immediate attacks on Palin clearly demonstrate that the left is worried about her as part of the ticket. They have tried to find anything of substance that they can use to attack her and have come up empty handed so they are resorting to fabricating stories in order to further their agenda and ensure a win in November.

These people will do anything to win. They laugh at the misery of those along the Gulf Coast (particularly New Orleans) because they think the disaster will help them. These are truly pathetic people who should never be allowed in office.

Well moonbats, take your best shot because Sarahcuda is a force to be reckoned with and those who have underestimated her in the past were left scratching their heads trying to figure out how they lost.

Why is it that strong women threaten the Democrats?
