It never ceases to amaze me how many people think that the government running the health care in this country will make things better. I am continually amazed at how many people actually believe that the government being involved means that it will cost less money. The government does not do things at lower costs than private industry and government programs become bloated rapidly.

There is also the issue of results. Government not only runs over budget and costs more money than it should (and likewise spends more on programs than it should) it also simply does not do things very well.

Just last week the government tested the national alert system that would allow a president to speak to almost all people in this country at once in the event of an emergency. The test was announced well in advance and the planning was ongoing. The big day came and the government, those competent folks who can do it all, failed miserably. Many locations did not get the alert, other locations had no sound and some folks did not even realize the test had occurred because there was nothing to indicate it had.

The people who planned and put this in place are the same kind of people who will be running your health care. These folks cannot complete a relatively simple task of sending a message across the country. Yes, it is a complex issue but it is relatively simple when one compares it to health care. The government will fail in that venture many times over.

What government will do is become bloated and cost lots of money. This happens in all programs. Social Security should be relatively simple. Pay in, retire, and get retirement check. The government has added so many things and made so many people entitled to “benefits” that it takes an army of government workers to manage Social Security. And because it is government it takes a lot more employees than it would in the private sector.

Social Security has become bloated over decades but it does not take that long for any government program to expand. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the folks who molest you at the airports, has only been around for about ten years. A Congressional report shows it is bloated and ineffective. The report indicates there are 65,000 workers but even with all those there were 25,000 security breaches in the last decade.

In ten years the TSA has become a bloated and ineffective organization (many would argue that this occurred much earlier) and it is a relatively small organization. Compare it to what will be required when government intrudes in the health care arena and the amount of bloat and the level of ineffectiveness will be greatly multiplied.

Government is slow, cumbersome, big, wasteful, and ineffective and all government programs continue to grow each year.

Obamacare will grow into a larger program than any other redistributive effort the US has undertaken (SS, Medicare, Medicaid, etc) and it will cost a lot more than any of those programs. The people who support it claim it will save money but it will not. Unfortunately, like all government programs, by the time we see that it is too expensive and does not work it will be well underway. Government usually gets the estimates wrong but does not admit it until long after it has wasted billions (if not trillions) of dollars of taxpayer money and enslaved millions of people.

Thus, enslaved to a program they are enslaved to government. Just the way the politicians want it.

The liberal Democrat party in America claims to be tolerant. It has rewritten history to ignore or change the fact that the Democrats supported slavery and were anti civil rights. The left has brainwashed generations of minorities into believing that only the liberal establishment loves them, cares for them, and will help them.

Until the day after Election Day. Then, those minorities get some “goodies” to placate them and they are pushed into the background and regaled with stories about how wonderful liberals have always been to the minorities. We love you women, you blacks, you Hispanics, and you gays. We are there for you now vote for us and shut up.

The left keeps harping on how tolerant it is but the reality is that the left is only tolerant of those who stay on the plantation.

The left loves blacks unless the blacks are conservatives. Then the real racism rears its ugly head and the racial slurs begin. Women, the liberals love you and will defend you unless you are conservative and then no liberal organization INCLUDING NOW will defend you. Gays, we love you and want you to have everything you want unless you happen to be a conservative. Then you are a turncoat who needs to be assaulted. Gay conservatives can be assaulted and will not be held up as examples of intolerant bullying like a Matthew Shepard was.

Intolerant liberals do not believe they can ever be guilty of racism, hate crimes or intolerance because they claim not to be. They claim it so it must be true.

A gay TV star named Taylor Garrett can tell us all about intolerance. He happens to be a Republican and conservative. According to Garrett, he was recently targeted by the so called tolerant left, because he is conservative. Garrett was beaten by a man who Garret discovered defacing his car. Some thug was scratching a vulgarity aimed at Ann Coulter whom Garrett was supposed to meet with to discuss gay marriage and to show that just because you do not support it (like Coulter) does not make you a bigot.

Garrett confronted the man who was scratching the words into his car and was assaulted.

How dare this guy stray from the plantation? Does he not know that the liberals own him along with the others who have been enslaved?

The violence of the Occupy crowd, the violence of the left toward TEA Party members, the racist remarks by the left, and the attacks on gays and blacks who happen to be conservative are examples of the intolerance toward those who do not follow the orthodoxy of the left. The violence is even more pronounced when the person involved is of a protected class the liberals have claimed as their property.

Truth be told, the liberal establishment is only mildly tolerant of those who remain on the plantation. As long as they know their place they are tolerated. The ones who stray get whipped by the liberal taskmasters. Those who leave the plantation get pummeled.

You just don’t see that coming from conservatives. We fought to end slavery so we don’t think we own anyone or are entitled to own anyone.

The left, on the other hand, considers them bought and paid for.

Liberals are raised to depend on government. This is how they think and feel about everything. Labor unions, government workers, college students, and any number of other groups have liberals in them who think that everything should be provided by the government. While temporary measures to help people are a worthy goal, the liberals among us start to become dependent and demand that things be made permanent.

They want the nanny state to take care of them.

This is often hidden in demands for their “rights” that are not actually rights. They will tell you they have a right to a job, a living wage, no cost health care, endless unemployment, public housing, big pensions, and any other item they can get the government to take from the producers in society and give to them. It is almost always couched as a right.

The government is willing to oblige and creates programs for all people because the government wants people to depend on it. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and welfare are government programs that were established to enslave people. The government requires people to participate (in some of them) and then uses the programs to threaten and scare people. Vote for me or the other guy will take your [fill in the blank]. You old people will be eating cat food if you vote for so and so because he will take your Social Security.

These programs have created groups of people who have become dependent on the government and now cannot live on their own. They will live and die at the whim of government.

The problem is that these programs have become so ingrained and have been touted as rights for so long that people fight hard to keep them and oppose any change. They do this even when faced with the reality that these programs cannot be sustained. They do it because they have become dependent.

This mentality is evident in the Occupy crowd currently infesting cities around the country.

In Southern California several street cart vendors found this out the hard way. A coffee cart vendor and a hot dog vendor are both located at the same place as the San Diego Occupiers, Civic Center Plaza.

They started out by giving coffee and hot dogs to the Occupiers at no cost. Then they stopped that practice and the Occupiers turned on them. The Occupiers threw body fluids (blood and urine) on the vendor’s carts.

Those carts will need to be cleaned or replaced because of the attack by the Occupiers. The vendors have also received death threats.

This is what happens when someone does something out of the goodness of their hearts. The liberals believe that the gesture is an entitlement and attacks when that “right” is taken away. These parasites have no more claim to the coffee and hot dogs that belong to the vendors than they do to the money that belongs to the taxpayers.

No one in the TEA Party has done anything like this and yet, Democrats and liberals around the country stand with the Occupiers and support what they are doing.

Why not? Hell, liberals think that they are entitled to your stuff and those in elected office are no different.

It is time to evict the Occupiers.

As for you vendor types who think you are doing a good thing by giving your stuff to them, I have a piece of advice that comes from the zoo.

A few years ago the DHS and Big Sis released their report on potential threats here in the US. Conservative right wing folks were labeled as potential home grown terrorists along with TEA Party members and folks who are opposed to abortion. Yes, Big Sis and the government were worried and they wanted everyone to know that the right was dangerous and that law enforcement across the country should be on alert for these radical right wing madmen.

The report was full of BS and was politically motivated in an attempt to paint the right as radical so as to push the left’s agenda. In all the time since this report was released, no member of the TEA Party has committed a crime while involved in TEA Party protests. There are not large numbers of right wing folks out causing trouble, damaging property, raping women, selling and using drugs or committing any acts of terror whatsoever. That makes no difference because the left has made up its mind. The facts have never gotten in the way of their agenda.

The real terrorists in this country have been the Occupy terrorists. These people have committed the crimes that Big Sis and her DHS said the right would commit. The Occupy folks are out rioting. They are burning things. They are attacking the police and they are disobeying the laws.

In addition, the terrorists in the labor unions are involving themselves in the issues and they are calling for terrorist acts to be committed. Leo Gerard, president of United Steelworkers international has stated that the movement needs more militancy. Gerard, a moron union thug (and terrorist, Big Sis), said that if the Occupy Wall Street movement does not convey the message (if Wall Street does not get it) then a resistance movement is needed that involves more militancy. He thinks people should be blocking bridges and doing “that kind of stuff.” I see this as a call to the union thugs to cause civil disturbance through militant acts. Gerard is calling for militant acts, acts that are combative and aggressive, by definition.

In other words, Gerard is calling for terror. Where is the DHS report labeling the Occupy folks and the labor unions a threat to this nation? Where is the report that labels these people the same way the right wing was labeled? Where is the nationwide alert for law enforcement?

These people are actual threats to this country. They are a threat to other people. They are a threat to our system. They are actual threats that are not labeled as such by Big Sis and her DHS. In fact, the Democrats have praised the Occupy folks and have declared their support for them. Democrats are in support of people committing acts of terror and are proud of that support. The report from Big Sis on the potential for right wing violence is unfounded and has never come to fruition. The left is out terrorizing and Big Sis ignores it.

The left is trying to cause riots. Obama is in favor of rioting. He was a community rabble-rouser and he is a student of Saul Alinsky. The ends justify the means and the left wants riots to get its way. The sock puppets on the left who are easily led are obliging the masters at the top by rioting and Gerard is calling for combative and aggressive acts in order to get things done.

Could someone point out a riot or anything similar to the Occupy movement from the right?

No.

Gerard, if you want combative and aggressive acts you go right ahead. Don’t be surprised when you get driven over by someone fed up with your antics (I want Gerard to block a bridge I am trying to cross).

I guess it would be wise to understand that militancy can go both ways and your right to protest ends when you infringe upon the rights of others.

Or as someone once told me, be careful what you ask for.

Funny thing though. If a right wing person discusses watering the tree of liberty or taking back the country the liberals get their pink panties in a wad and scream about how radical they are and then somehow end up calling it racism because a black guy is occupying the White House.

Let some whack job union thug scream for militancy and the left is in love with him.

The crowd of Occupy Wall Street (and its many offshoots across the nation) is a mob. They are followers of Saul Alinsky and they are causing social unrest in hope of changing the way the nation does business but not for the best. They falsely claim they represent 99% of the country because they are not the 1% of our nation that is really wealthy. They do not represent the 99%. In fact, they represent only a small part of the 99% in this nation who are not wealthy.

But they do represent the Democrats, the Socialists, the Communists and the Islamic radicals, all of whom have endorsed their activities.

The occupy crowd around the country has been involved or implicated in a number of crimes including drug distribution, rape, and their presence seems to increase the crime rates of their occupied territory. They are supported by the aforementioned groups and that includes Democrats like Barack Obama, Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi, all of whom have stated that support.

The Democrats support these people and dare not talk about the illegal activities, the public defecation, the violence, the vandalism and the assaults on police because they do not want to lose their support. This is their base.

Contrast the FLEA baggers with the TEA Party. There has never been an arrest of a TEA Party member at a TEA Party event. The TEA Party supporters leave places cleaner than when they arrived and there are no allegations of drug use or distribution, rape or any other crime. The only allegations ever made are that the TEA Party members are racist. These allegations are all false and have been proven so many times. The allegations of using the N word toward members of Congress have been shown false and yet, the left continues to harp this lie.

The members of the left who support the degenerates in the Occupy movement have called the TEA Party unpatriotic, racist and a number of names that allude to vulgar sexual activities.

Think about it for a moment. The Democrats openly deride the law abiding and peaceful TEA Party members as un-American and racist for following the law while openly praising and supporting the Occupy members who are breaking laws left and right. The left has yet to address the drug, rape and violence criminal acts by the Occupy crowd but jumps on a racist claim about the TEA Party the moment the word is uttered.

What does that tell you about the Democrats who support the Occupy crowd?

It tells me that they agree with the crimes, they agree with the goals (if anyone in the Occupy crowd could actually give a coherent statement about the goals) and that they agree with the tactics.

The Democrats agree because the tactics come right out of Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals.

This is how radicals try to affect social change. This is what they do to get what they want and what they want is a collapse of the system, the movement to Socialism, the forced redistribution of wealth and more government involvement.

The Democrats support these people because they want the unrest. They want it to escalate and evolve into widespread chaos so that people will clamor for government to do something, anything, to stop the insanity.

And Democrats are waiting for that moment to inject more government into our lives. They will be the saviors. They will stop the insanity by imposing more restrictive rules as they move us closer to Socialism.

They have created and supported a crisis because, as they openly told us, they do not let a crisis go to waste.

This is by design. This is what the Democrats want. This is how they have trained for decades and this is the closest they have come. They are following Alinsky’s script in order to affect change.

This is the Change part of the Hope and Change in Obama’s 2008 campaign.

They think they will succeed.

They are wrong. If this devolves into social unrest the overwhelming part of the 99% in this country who are not wealthy and are not part of this mob will stop them in their tracks. Alinsky said they had to work to get a reaction. Escalating violence will get a reaction they do not like.

I have heard those who support them claim these people are being peaceful and have a right to protest. They have every right to protest but their right ends when it infringes upon the rights of others and these people are doing just that. They are hurting businesses, they are committing acts of violence, and they are breaking the law.

If they want someone to listen to them then they need to obey the law.

And staying where you are not allowed, committing rape, using and distributing drugs, urinating and defecating in public, committing vandalism and being violent are not legal acts and do not constitute obeying the law.

Let me put it in simpler terms for the liberals. You have to obey the law when exercising your right to protest.

When you don’t, you lose your right.

Have you heard about all those bad TEA Party people causing trouble in New York and around our country? Have you heard about the hundreds arrested? Have you heard about these spin off riots, ahem, protests in other cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle?

Of course you haven’t because the TEA Party folks are not the ones rioting around the nation. It is a bunch of left wing, give us your money because we deserve it types who think that wealthy people should have to give their money to everyone else. It is those folks who take taxpayer money from the government after it is taken from us by force.

The leeches on the left are starting to ramp up the intensity and are taking the cue Michael Moore gave them. They decided that they would rather resort to causing trouble because they feel entitled to YOUR money.

The next liberals talk badly about the TEA Party ask them to name a time when hundreds of TEA Party members were arrested for civil disturbance. Hell, ask them to point out one time that it happened. No, the TEA Party is peaceful, welcomes all, leaves wherever they go cleaner than when they arrived and obeys the laws.

The left and its media wing will make villains out of TEA Party members and ignore the real thugs, those on the left.

But those of us who are honest about it know the truth.

Congressional Black Caucus Chairman, Representative Emanuel Cleaver, said that if Obama was a white guy the CBC would likely be marching on the White House. Cleaver couched his racism by claiming that the CBC reaction is less volatile because they don’t want to do anything to empower people who hate Obama.

Unhappy members of the Congressional Black Caucus “probably would be marching on the White House” if Obama were not president, according to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.).

“If [former President] Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House,” Cleaver told “The Miami Herald” in comments published Sunday. “There is a less-volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president.” The Hill

Cleaver gives the impression that he and his CBC are not doing anything because there are people who hate Obama and his underlying message (let’s call it black code) is that racists want to hurt Obama and the CBC does not want to help with that.

The violence comes from the deranged (and racist) left. They are the ones out biting off fingers and shooting members of Congress. They are the ones who have assassinated or attempted to assassinate US presidents so Cleaver, while playing the veiled (black code) race card is actually worried about a deranged liberal doing something bad.

He openly admits that he would not be worried about people who hated Bill Clinton. If Clinton were president then Cleaver would be marching on the White House and would not care about people who hated ole Bill (this gives credence to the claim it is a veiled message about racism).

The left never worried about what it did and how it would affect George Bush. The left was happy when Bush was threatened or there was a chance he would be hurt. The left openly carried signs calling for his assassination and the left made a movie that depicted Bush being assassinated.

And yet, it is the right who is called violent…

The CBC has a bunch of racists as members. If, given similar circumstances, they would march on a white president but not on a black one then they are racists.

Keep in mind, this group (along with its race baiting liberal followers) tells us that the TEA Party is a racist organization because it sprung up during a black man’s tenure and not a white man’s. These people will claim that opposition to big government and out of control spending is racist because Obama is black and Bush received no such criticism (a blatant lie).

Yes, it is racist to criticize Obama because he is black but it is not racist to state that you would be marching on a white president if he had the same record as the black one.

What should we expect from an organization that is racist in its own formation? It is the black caucus (white people are not allowed to join it) and there is no Congressional White Caucus (if there was the blacks, especially those in the CBC, would call it racist).

Let us recap. Emanuel Cleaver, the leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, has stated that if a white guy was president the CBC would likely be marching on the White House because of the current conditions but since a black guy is there they won’t do it. The idea of marching on the White House is an admission that the current occupant is doing a poor job but since he is black he should not be held to the same standard as any white guy who holds the office. When conditions are bad march on the white guy but not the black guy.

Different standards for the same job.

Yep, Obama is the affirmative action president.

Maxine Waters, the race baiter Congress critter, had some not so nice words for the TEA Party. Maxine, ignoring her Messiah, Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm), who called for civility, said the TEA Party could go straight to hell.

“I’m not afraid of anybody,” the California congresswoman told constituents in footage that appeared on ABC affiliate KABC in Los Angeles, not backing down from comments made about President Obama earlier in the week. “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned — the tea party can go straight to hell.” Daily Caller

Here is a news flash Maxine, we are already in hell. The TEA Party and the rest of the country has been placed in hell by the liberal policies of you and your party. The liberal policies that promise everything to everybody in exchange for votes has sent us to hell in a hand basket. The tax and spend policies of liberals coupled with social programs that enslave generations of Americans has provided us a hell on Earth courtesy of the liberal task masters.

By assuming that you and the the other elitists are better able to run people’s lives and spend their money, you have tied an anchor around the necks of countless Americans who are trapped in your liberal web and remain dependent on government redistribution schemes.

Yes Maxine, we are in a hell that you and your ilk created and now you have the audacity to lash out at citizens who care about the well being of this country? Shame on you!

I know if a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity had said the Congressional Black Caucus could go straight to hell you and the other race baiters would be throwing a hissy fit while working hard to slam down your race card.

Well Maxine, I guess you did not get the memo from Obama calling for civility. I guess they should have written it on a bank bailout document or a welfare bill or perhaps a $100 dollar bill from a lobbyist so you would be sure to see it.

But since you have no civility let me give you a back at ya. You, the Congressional Black Caucus, elitist politicians, all liberals, and all your union goons and thugs can all go straight to hell.

And while you are heading there Maxine, you can go screw yourself.

The TEA Party is not going away and we have all you statists in our cross hairs. We will take as many of you down in 2012 as we possibly can.

The only thing I want is for your ethics violations investigation to be completed before we bounce you.

When taxes are raised there is a certain level at which they fail to produce the expected results. People who are taxed find ways to avoid paying the taxes or have incentive not to earn as much. The very wealthy find tax shelters and the middle class gets socked. This is true at the national level and is worth remembering as we debate the debt limit. The Democrats want to impose taxes (that and spending is all they know) on the wealthy which they define down to $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for couples. The Democrats want these folks to pay their fair share even though they shoulder almost the entire tax burden. Lower taxes increase revenue and higher taxes suppress revenue but the Democrats do not care. Even Obama, who said that raising taxes during hard economic times was not wise, wants to raise taxes.

Any politician who votes for this scheme should be removed from office.

Even the middle class will look for ways to avoid taxes. Yes, those who always scream to tax the rich look for ways to avoid taxes. In Baltimore the City imposed a tax on beverages (the bottle tax) and though it has brought in about 5 million dollars that figure is 1 million lower than was expected and at least 70 jobs have been lost because of the tax. Now officials want to repeal the tax because it is killing jobs and not performing as expected.

And they have figured out what I said all along. People in the city can drive to a neighboring county and buy beverages and avoid the City’s bottle tax.

Well, not all of them have figured it out. The Mayor expects the repeal to be defeated and is not unhappy about that. In addition, a candidate for Mayor has stated he wants to impose a new tax, one he claims will lower the crimes that involve shootings.

Otis Rolley wants to impose a $1 per bullet tax on ammunition sold in the city. Rolley believes that this additional tax will make it harder for criminals to afford bullets and therefore will lower the number of shootings in the city.

First of all, as with the bottle tax, people can drive to a neighboring jurisdiction and buy bullets. There are plenty of stores that sell ammunition surrounding the city and people can go there and avoid the additional $20 to $50 per box of ammo. Come to think of it, a box of 500 rounds of 22 caliber would incur a $500 tax!

People could also order their ammo through the internet and have it delivered to their house or to the house of a relative who lives outside the city.

People will avoid taxes no matter how much they claim to support them. One only needs to look at Warren Buffett, John Kerry, Tim Geithner, Charlie Rangel and a slew of other Democrats who always seek higher taxes but work hard to avoid paying them.

And putting all that aside, what makes Mr. Rolley think that people who obtain firearms illegally, carry them illegally, and use them illegally will worry about obtaining ammunition legally? I imagine some enterprising person will purchase a lot of ammo from surrounding counties and sell it to people in the city. Rolley will create a black market of ammo dealers who will look to make a buck by circumventing the tax.

Only a liberal would believe that a person who breaks the law will suddenly follow another law designed to impede his criminal activities.

Raising taxes is a bad idea and allowing liberals to get into office is an even worse one.

A side note to Mr. Rolley. The city has a high crime rate with or without guns. The city needs to lock criminals up and keep them in jail instead of operating a revolving door justice system. And allowing law abiding citizens their Second Amendment right to carry arms would make criminals think twice. They would never know who is carrying. But this is Maryland and the Democrats in this state love to trample on our Constitutionally protected rights.
