Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/no-background-checks-on-nlrb-appointees/.

It is bad enough that Barack Obama violated the Constitution when he made what he calls recess appointments when the Senate was not in recess but two of the appointments he made never made it through the vetting process and the Senate never had a chance to advise and consent. As such, Sharon Block and Richard Griffin were sent up after the Senate had adjourned (but did not go into official recess) and they do not appear on the list of Obama nominations.

These two did not have background checks, security checks and were not checked to ensure they paid their income taxes (a common problem among Obama appointees). None of this mattered to the Dictator of Amerika, King Barack Hussein, who appointed them anyway.

It is tragic that he violated the Constitution though it is not surprising. It is just as bad that he never gave the Senate time to even put these nominees through the proper vetting process.

King Hussein said he appointed folks because he knew Republicans would obstruct. It was, preemptive. So he has now embraced the Bush doctrine of preemptive strikes.

The Senate was not in recess and has had a pro forma session every three days. That appears to be consistent with Senate rules (and the Constitution says the Senate makes its own rules for how it is run) so Obama usurped the authority of Congress.

None of these appointments came up while the Senate was in recess and only one has been submitted for proper review. The Senate has not yet acted on these nominations so Obama decided he would take matters into his own hands, violate the Constitution, tick off a lot of people and do what he wants, rules be damned.

I hope he does not expect much cooperation when things ramp back up. He wants a trillion more added to the debt ceiling and he will want to make more nominations.

Republicans need to step up to the plate. Take Obama to court over this and get a ruling. If it goes in our favor then great. If not then you guys need to filibuster every motion to adjourn or motion to recess from now on. Keep everyone in DC and Obama will not be able to do an end run.

Until we take the King off his throne we need to use all the tricks.

We can start by not providing for a salary to anyone who gets a recess appointment and then proceed to not providing funds for their agencies.

The power of the purse will derail a dictator every time.

Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/is-there-anything-obama-will-not-lie-about/.

We know that Barack Obama is a liar. It is obvious when he opens his mouth that he is not telling the truth and anyone with a brain can see it (which excludes liberals). Obama has already been caught doing the flip flop with regard to the debt limit. Back in 2006 he said that the president (G W Bush) and Republicans looking to raise the debt ceiling demonstrated a lack of leadership and that we had a debt problem. I agreed with his words from then. Now he has his mouthpiece say that he was in error to vote against raising the debt limit and only did it out of spite because he opposed Bush’s policies. That does not negate the fact that he said it demonstrated a lack of leadership and now that he is asking for the debt limit to be raised, he is the one lacking in leadership qualities (though to be fair, he never possessed any to begin with).

Now we have Obama, in his own words, from 2008 with regard to presidential signing statements. Obama said that this was not part of the president’s power and reinforced that by telling people he taught Constitutional law for 10 years. God help us because he, no doubt, taight his interpretation rather than that of the people who wrote it. In any event, here is Obama from 2008:

That’s not part of his power, but this is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he goes along. I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We’re not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress. Real Clear Politics

One could argue that Obama is now using signing statements, not to do an end run around Congress, but to make his point clear. That would be a BS argument but I know many liberals will make it. Obama makes it clear from the outset that IT IS NOT PART OF HIS POWER. That means that any signing statements are not part of the president’s power. Whether they are or not is irrelevant because Obama said they were not and based it on his teaching the Constitution so he said what he meant and what he wanted people to believe was true.

Now it is a little different. Obama used a signing statement on the recently passed budget compromise in which his czars were eliminated. Obama issued a signing statement that he was not going to follow that part of the deal.

He used a signing statement to do an end run around Congress. There is no other way to look at it. He did exactly what he said he would not do. That makes him a liar. Obama lied, got it liberals, your messiah lied to you. How many of you will call him on this? My guess is that most will defend him. The rationale will be something like, well Bush was wrong when he did it but Obama is right.

In fact, his mouthpiece (Jay Carney) said just that and he too lied along the way:

His concern was with what he saw as an abuse of the signing statement by the previous administration. So that the positions he took in signing statements on the budget bill entirely consistent with that position, you need to retain the right to, as president, to be able to issue those signing statements, but obviously they should not be abused. Real Clear Politics

Compare the two statements and you can see the glaring lies. Obama never said he opposed the abuse of signing statements. He said that the president did not have the power to use them and that he knows it because he taught the Constitution. He said he would not use them to do an end run around Congress but Carney is saying that Obama was never opposed to them and that using them is consistent with his previous position (the false premise Carney began with). This is all a lie and it is all recorded and presented in their own words.

Obama is a liar though his change of position on this issue might be consistent with him being a teacher of the Constitution. You see, liberals believe the Constitution is a living document that can be molded and adapted to meet any condition (see FDR). This is utterly false and the Founders never meant for it to be that way but to Obama and liberal/progressive schmucks like him, the Constitution is a barrier to what they want to do to this country. It gets in their way so they need to keep changing it to suit their needs.

It suited his purpose to say that Bush had no authority to use signing statements when he was trying to take Bush’s place but now that he is in the position it suits his purpose to use the very instrument he derided as unconstitutional.

He is a liar and we need to keep beating him with his own words.

And Republicans need to stop making deals and lay down the law. Stop funding everything until we get the budget under control and tell Obama to stuff it. I would also recommend that any bills submitted by Congress include language that says the use of signing statements is not allowed on the bill.

Hamstring this Socialist and keep him from doing any more harm to this country.

Wake up America. This man and his people are telling you lies because they think you are too stupid to notice or to care. I might agree there are a lot of stupid people because Obama was elected but even dumb animals learn from their mistakes.

Any of you liberal/progressive Obamabots want to defend this? I know there will be someone who does.

Hmm, another war in the Middle East, extension of the tax cuts, excessive spending, signing statements, and asking that the debt limit be raised. They told me if I voted for McCain I would get Bush’s third term.

Looks like they were right.

Sanders went so far as to blame the incident on conservatives, talk radio, big business and anything else he could use to try and tie conservatives to the tragedy.

Sanders is despicable and should resign from Congress.

He is using a tragedy that was caused by one thing and one thing only. A nut decided to kill people. There is absolutely NOTHING that can be done to stop a person determined to do harm. Even if the most stringent gun laws ever devised were in place this guy would still have been able to obtain a weapon and kill people. It happens all the time in cities where there are strict gun laws in place.

This tragedy affected many lives and lost in all this is how it is playing on the parents of the nut who did this. Evidently, the nut was allowed to avoid intervention because his mother works for the government there but this does not negate the fact that they are victims of their son’s violence as well.

This is a tragedy of epic proportions and Bernie Sanders is blaming conservatives and using the event to raise money.

He is the lowest form of life an should be drummed out of Congress.

Perhaps Bernie is trying to raise money because he is worried about his seat in 2012. He should, he is now in the cross hairs…

Rush Limbaugh was right. The Democrats are trying to profit from this.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/rangel-is-guilty-but-he-wont-go/.

Charlie Rangel was found guilty of 11 ethics violations a day after he begged for more time because he did not have a lawyer and needed time to prepare. Rangel had two years to prepare and he had lawyers until a month ago. He claims they stopped representing him because he could no longer afford to pay them and he did not have time to set up a legal defense fund (he could have sold his Dominican villa).

Once again, he had two years. He knew he would have legal bills so he should have taken care of this long ago.

Rangel is a huckster. He likes to skirt the rules and he thinks he can get away with things because he is important and the rules just don’t apply to him.

The people on the ethics panel have had about enough of Rangel and his request was denied so he stormed out of the hearing. He was found guilty and is acting like there was some miscarriage of justice because he was not present (he walked out) and he had no lawyer.

Rangel could be expelled from Congress, and he should be, but he won’t. He will likely get a slap on the wrist, some letter of reprimand and no leadership assignments. So he will be able to continue skirting the laws and doing as he pleases while drawing a huge salary from taxpayer money.

Imagine how Rangel or any other member of Congress would react to a business leader who pulled the same stunts as Rangel. They would be calling for the person’s head on a platter. Congress gets high and mighty when some business person, like say a Wall Street executive, does something wrong and works hard to make sure that person pays for his sins.

If only Congress had the same intensity and moral compass when its own members commit the sins…

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/how-did-harry-reid-win/.

This past week I discussed the irregularities at the Nevada polls and how SEIU technicians were responsible for the voting machines. The powers that be assured us that even though the machines were registering more votes than cast, it was nothing to worry about and the results of an inquiry would be made available after the election.

It is after the election and Harry Reid won. Reid picked up 8% to win which is a huge pick-up. He was down by an average of 3% to his opponent and he won by 5%. That 8% swing is unreal and since incumbents who poll under 50% usually do not win, something seems amiss.

Reid and his goons were twisting arms yesterday and had the casino mobsters going over lists of employees who had not voted and instructing bosses to get on those folks and make them vote. One has to wonder what kind of shenanigans took place in this election.

Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the country even though Harry Reid, by his own account, saved the world from collapse.

It seems he was unable to save Nevada but some mysterious folks in Nevada saved him. Something hinky took place.

Well, like the other relics in Congress, Reid has been around a long time and is pretty advanced in age. Maybe he will join Kennedy and Byrd soon and we can be rid of him.

I bet there are a lot of Democrats right now who wish they had ignored Reid, Pelosi and Obama.

I also wish I owned a moving company in DC. Looks like a lot of people will be packing up and moving after the TEANAMI in the House last night.

As an aside, Kith Olbermann was railing about Tea Party candidates and saying that Palin’s picks did not do so well (he is intimidated by women, especially strong ones). He failed to mention how many people Obama campaigned for, and on more than one occasion, lost last night. Those Obama went to help did not fair so well. MSNBC, Lean Forward and take it like a man…

Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/any-proof-feinberg-returned-the-checks/.

When Barack Obama anointed Kenneth Feinberg as the pay czar we were told that he was doing the work for free (or pro bono as they say). Yes, the guy in charge of determining pay for some private sector companies was to receive no compensation.

The only problem with that is he has a salary of over $120,000.

Contrary to press reports that he would not be compensated, uncovered Treasury Department documents reveal President Obama’s pay czar, Kenneth Feinberg, received a $120,830 annual salary.

The documents were obtained by the public interest group Judicial Watch in a Freedom of Information Act request filed July 20.

~snip~

But Judicial Watch said it obtained the Treasury Department’s June 8, 2009, welcome letter to Feinberg congratulating him for being selected “special master of executive compensation” and listing his annual salary at $120,830.

Also, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management issued a “Notification of Personnel Action” dated June 8, 2009, that established Feinberg’s salary level at $120,830. WND

After this was discovered Feinberg said that he did indeed receive a check every two weeks and that he endorsed the checks and returned them to the Treasury. And he claims he has to pay taxes on the income that he did not keep.

Is there any proof of this? I find it hard to believe that Feinberg got a check every two weeks that he signed and sent back to the Treasury because federal employees are required to have check to bank also known as automatic deposit. Unless things have changed he could not have gotten a physical check.

Therefore, he could not signed or returned one.

This is what happens when czars are appointed by Obama and skip the Senate confirmation process. We do not have full disclosure and the regime can lie about what it is doing.

So much for transparency.

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/to-be-the-chicken-or-the-swine/.

Looks like a chicken is calling his opponents swine. Hollywood director James Cameron previously challenged three global warming deniers to a debate about the subject and all was set after the childish demands of Cameron were met. Then, at the urging of many climate change devotees, Cameron changed his mind and called off the debate. The debate was called off while one of his opponents was in the air on his way to the event.

Cameron’s friends were worried about how he might perform and that he might get throttled in the debate so he turned into a chicken and decided against debating Andrew Breitbart, Marc Morano and Ann McElhinney.

Cameron was full of bluster and after he demonstrated what a coward he is he still had time to refer to those who are skeptical about global warming as swine.

After ducking debate, James Cameron boldly slammed global warming skeptics as “swine” on the day he was supposed to be debating them. “I think they’re swine” Cameron told a friendly audience at the AREDAY summit. Climate Depot

His opponents might be swine, at least in Cameron’s feeble mind, but they were not the ones who acted cowardly in this issue. They did not cancel the debate and though Cameron can refer to them as swine, he was certainly the chicken in all of this.

I would rather be the swine than the chicken.

Cameron has this way of running his mouth and talking like a tough guy until he is challenged and then he pulls his head into his shell and hides like a sissy. Or perhaps he places his head where he swears global warming deniers keep theirs.

In any event, Cameron once said he would like to have a shootout with global warming deniers.

I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads. Climate Depot

I am more than willing to have an old fashioned shootout with Cameron if he would like to do that. We can either do the wild west type where we draw or we can have a real all around town shootout, whichever he prefers.

In either case I will end his miserable existence pretty quickly.

But if Cameron agrees to the shootout (and keep in mind, he said he wanted it and I am only obliging) then he absolutely cannot cancel the event. If this loud mouth puke wants a real shootout then he needs to put up or shut up. If he accepts and then backs out like he did with the global warming debate he will force me to hunt him down.

So he should choose is words wisely.

Oh wait. If he could do that he would not have made the gun battle statement and he would never have challenged people to a debate.

I love when cowardly liberal/progressives talk tough and then get called on it. It is fun to watch them slink along and cower in fear when they are actually have their bluff called.

Maybe we can have cameras there and they can catch Cameron’s last breaths. It would be fitting that his last work would be him eating his words.

And dying of something close to lead poisoning…

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.
Do you remember how Hussein observed it? Do you?

He ignored the day- unlike his predecessor, President Bush, Hussein just totally ignored a nation’s religious heritage, which is mainly Christian and Jewish, and went on down the road, figuratively speaking. Okayyyyyyy—— not the smartest move, but then, unlike others, (mainly left- wing loons) I have never said that this guy was smart- indeed, I have said repeatedly that I thought he was dumber than a bag of hammers.

He proved it again the other day, at the start of Ramadan, when he “spoke” to the arab world to wish them well and extend “blessings”-

It’s even translated into several languages.
From the White House blog:
President Obama extends his best wishes to Muslims around the world during Ramadan. (public domain)

Now, do you remember how Obama observed the National Day of Prayer?
He distanced himself from it.
The Washington Times reported:

President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.

All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For the past eight years, President George W. Bush invited selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the White House East Room, where he typically would give a short speech and several leaders offered prayers…

Maybe he was serious when he said America was a Muslim nation?
gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

Yea, maybe so- why else do you intentionally anger so many people who you are allegedly the leader of, while obsequiously kissing the A$$es of people you have no control over? Or perhaps it is brain damage-let’s put him on a waiting list for about a year for an MRI to find out if he’s one prayer rug short of a mosque. He can take the government plan- after all, it is good enough for us.

Of course, if he is crazy, then maybe the government plan is a load of manure. Heck, why prevaricate- we all know its a load of manure anyway, driven by a man who is so full of himself that it is a wonder his head fits in any enclosed space.

What I find amusing is Air America’s take on Hussein- now they find that he will lie to the left too, and they have their panties in a wad over the meetings with big Pharma on this healthcare fubar- they are incensed that he did not keep his pledge to have the talks on C-SPAN, and actually have the transparency he pledged to.

Go here to hear the radio hosts trash the Resident-

At least he is an equal opportunity liar- we on the right knew he was going to lie- we had listened to him during the longest campaign in history. Jews have crossed deserts in half the time that campaign took- so we knew that the lies were there. But it has taken the left awhile now to figure out that Hussein used them as a steppingstone to the White House.

When Air America is pissed at you, then you have really taken a left. It would be a NatGeo moment to film the chase of Hussein by a pack of rabid union goons who have had their health plans switched to the Gubbmint option- watch as they begin to flank him. See their pack mentality, as they circle while the Alpha hoffa sneaks around back to sever the achilles tendons- aaah yes, there he goes down, slashed at the heels. Now unable to walk, the pack dispatches him quickly in a frenzy of entitled perks.

Ah well, it was but a dream………. or was it?

Copyright © 2012 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/biden-pulls-numbers-out-of-his-donkey/.

Anyone who has ever watched Joe Biden, the smartest man to ever serve in the Senate, knows that he has quite a penchant for sticking his foot in his mouth. He makes up statistics and pulls numbers out of the air. The thing is, he is quite convincing when he does it so people believe that he knows what he is talking about. This is particularly true for those who are not particularly bright or who do not know how to look things up for themselves. These are the kind of people who, when confronted with a Biden lie, claim he only made a mistake. If that is the case, how comfortable should we be with someone who is so prone to mistakes?

After Bobby Jindal gave the Republican response to Obama’s speech (a response that had good substance but was not particularly well delivered) Biden gave his own response. Biden was on The Early Show the next day and here is what he said:

“But what I don’t understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do?,” asks Joe Biden while on the Early Show.
That rhetorical question to Governor Jindal on the Early Show, was followed with this.

“in Louisiana there’s 400 people a day losing their jobs, what’s he doing?” asks Biden. KLSA

Now, to the toadies who drink Obama Kool Aid and blindly follow him this statement will be taken as gospel and used to show how Republicans are out of touch. I mean, here is Jindal saying that Obama has it wrong when 146,000 of his state’s people are losing their jobs each year. The problem is, Biden was wrong. Like he does so often, Biden pulled numbers out of his…er.. donkey.

According to the same article:

“In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release that added employment over the month,” says Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. According to her, not only is Louisiana not losing jobs. “The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment,” Granier said of the most recent figures.

You don’t even have to take my word for it, these are number you can check out yourself if you just go to laworks.net, there you can find the latest unemployment statistics, statistics that appear to directly contradict what the vice president said this morning.

The latest stats show this – from the week ending January 17th there were 4,527 claims for unemployment insurance in Louisiana, for the next week, that number receded to 4,179.
Folks who crunch the numbers credit a diverse economy for Louisiana’s resilience to unemployment.

The article states it is unclear where the VP gets his numbers.

I think I already pointed that out…

Many gun stores report a 50-60% increase in sales, gun shows have more people than at any time in recent memory and ammunition supply places report that they are out of ammo and most is on back order. This is all because Americans are aware of Barack Obama’s stance on gun control.

But Barry says not to worry. He said that people did not need to stock up on guns because he has no intention of taking them.

“I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment,” Obama said at a news conference. “Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven’t indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word.”

Before it was common sense gun laws. When that did not fly it changed to safety laws and who is to say exactly what that means and according to what person’s definition of safety? Obama’s common sense laws have led his hometown to have countless murders by gun, guns that are illegal to possess in a city from which this so called gun friendly man hails (and served in office). Barack Obama has a long history of abusing the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. There can be no doubt about this regardless of what he or his kool aid drinking followers say. Obama’s legislative record tells a much different story than the one he fabricated in order to get elected. He did not believe that it was an individual right and he sided with DC in the Heller case. It was not until after the SCOTUS ruled that gun ownership was an idividual right that Obama told us he has believed that all along (remember, if he says “like I have always said” or “I have not changed my position” then he is lying). Take him at his word? All of his promises come with expiration dates, just ask his kooky left wingnuts who are not real happy with him.

The NRA is not fooled by Obama:

But National Rifle Association spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said it’s not Obama’s words — but his legislative track record — that has gun-buyers flocking to the stores.

“Prior to his campaign for president, his record as a state legislator and as a U.S. Senator shows he voted for the most stringent forms of gun control, the most Draconian legislation, gun bans, ammunition bans and even an increase in federal excise taxes up to 500 percent for every gun and firearm sold,” Arulanandam said.

Obama answered “yes” in 1996 to a questionnaire from an Illinois group on whether he supported a handgun ban. But he later said a staffer filled out that answer and he did not support a ban.

Obama said that a staffer filled out the questionnaire but it was filled out in Obama’s handwriting. That is a talented staffer indeed. Obama wants to take guns away because an unarmed citizenry is more easily controlled by government. This government is getting more and more out of control and it will get worse under Obama. He wants complete control so he can run his Socialist Utopia and he knows that the armed among us will not take his crap.

It should surprise no one that Obama will ignore the Constitution because he is doing so right now. He has not proven he is a natural born citizen and thus will be an illegitimate president. Maybe this is the perfect ruse for him. He can impose all kinds of things and then when the armed take the country back he can say that it is not his fault because he is not really qualified for the job. He can then throw whomever failed to properly vet him right under the bus.

If Obama is telling you there is no need to stock up on guns then you need to stock up on guns. He and the idiots who want to remove guns from society believe they know better than you how to live your life. They believe they are smarter than you and they should be deciding on dangerous things like guns. This is what Peter Hamm of the Brady Center against Gun Violence had to say:

“Anyone who thinks they need to rush out and buy a firearm clearly has not been paying attention to how quickly we make progress on this issue. We don’t think these are first-time buyers. We think they are people who already have more than enough guns at their homes to protect themselves and are buying more.”

These are people who already have more than enough guns. Who is this jerk to decide how many is enough? Does this guy go around telling people they have too many cars, or too many pair of shoes, or too many clothes? If people have the money and they want to buy lots of guns then who is Hamm (or anyone else) to say that they already have enough? This is the same philosophy that liberals use when they take you money in taxes. You already have enough so we will take some from you.

Barak Obama must think that he has credibility because he won an election. He lost his credibility a long time ago and were it not for white guilt and dreamy eyed liberals (coupled with blacks voting for race) he would be another name in a history book. His word is his bond but only to the idiots who supported him. The rest of us know better.

But Barack Says there is nothing to worry about and that we do not need to buy guns. He even says he is all in favor of gun ownership. Yes, Barack Obama is a friend to the gun owner. I don’t believe that for a minute.

And judging from the sales of guns and ammo, neither do a lot of others.
